  1. Also, it's not really anime-accurate, since it's supposed to be able to switch between a GP and a GT. So you end up with a Red and White GT instead of the Cima-red type in the show. That's not too bad on its own because it really looks good this way.

What you get with GFF #0010 is the Gerbera Tetra Kai, not the original Gerbera Tetra seen in 0083. You really can't talk about being anime accurate when the Kai never appeared in any anime.

  2. BSU: Nah, not the Rock.

We may not have a choice. according to DarkHorizons.com today, The Rock was Arnie's first pick for an "actor" to continue the franchise in his absence. <_<

Not surprised, as they were friends (which is why Ahnuld did the cameo in The Rundown). Did anyone catch The Rock on Letterman a few days before that movie opened? He did a great impression of Arnold's accent. :D

  3. Okay... this seriously blows. I ordered a bunch because several of you PMed me and promised to buy it, but so far only Fulcy seem to be good for his words, as I haven't heard back from anyone else honoring their pre-order.

If I ever manage to dig up the old PMs, I'll be sure to add the names of the deadbeats to the MW non-straight shooter list.

  4. Was the Command Gundam an original design? Never seen it before, looks like something out of the alterntive universe Gundam's though. But uh, less feathers and girly stuff.

Yes and no. Like the Knight Gundam toy from the 1/100 DX series, the Command Gundam originally appeared in SD form. Its first appearance was in SD Gundam G-Arms, and Bandai "normalized" the design and made a 1/100 scale DX toy out of it.

  5. :o:o

Where can I find me one of those!!!!!

    Vostok 7

Your best bet are online auctions, but these don't come cheap - the last time I saw one on eBay, the seller wanted a few hundred bucks for it.

This is what the unmodified original looks like:

  6. Hey guys,

Before the MW server moved, there was a thread in this section about the Powered GM conversion kit and some of you PMed me expressing interest in getting this conversion kit for the MG RGM-79C. I have just received the conversion kit, but unfortunately I've lost the PMs due to the server move.

Please PM me if you want to secure yours - quantity is very limited.

  7. i think this movie is comming out a couple of years too late,  i mean back in 98'-99' i would be like "whoa that looks cool" but now after a crap loads of martial arts movies im like "oh god another movie with asians screaming "KIA!!" sounding like their tring to pass a kidney stone really turns me off from seeing this movie.

p.s. i do really think its funny how david carridine(kung fu) is in the movie, i think he plays the main bad guy or something im not sure.

Is that what you think it is? Just something that's wannabe Azn to look cool? Uma and Tarantino have been working on this film since they filmed Pulp Fiction!

Actually they've talked about the idea for Kill Bill on the set of Pulp Fiction, but Taratino didn't get serious about it and sit down to write the script until fairly recently, when Uma reminded him about the idea.

  8. This means so very little. Spielberg was also attached to that lame ass underwater show back in the 90's, which went onwhere. Just because he looks over a script over or puts his studio behind a work doesn't mean he is "involved" in the actual movie making process. The movie could turn out to be a bigger turd than the Super Mario Bros movie. I see this as "no news here". Has a good video game movie ever been made? No. I give this movie ZERO chance.

Whoa, what an amazing display of open-mindness. The first Mortal Kombat flick was at least a decent video game movie.

Name another videogame movie with the backing or name-attachment of an A-list or Oscar-winning filmmaker.

    6. Synapse's execution was, IIRC, in 0083 animation, as a 3-5 second on screen description, something like "XXXX 0083, Synapse executed for Treason". Blink and you'll miss it. That's what I recall, but I may be wrong here.

On my copy it simply isn't there. Maybe on the eng dub AnimeVillage forgot to put it in?

No matter how bad Gundam continuity is, it is only a fraction of the convulted nightmare that is Star Trek.

AnimeVillage did not forget to put in anything.

That line about Synapse's fate was a linear note on the LD's jacket. Some early fansubs took the liberty to insert that info into part of the sub, maybe that's how Lynx "remembered" it.

  10. I have to go with my 2d best friend. The Neo-Geo. I still play my Neo more than most of my Next gen stuff. I can play Metal Slug till the cows come home and have VS batlles in KOF98,Samurai Shodown II,and Garou all night with my friends.

I voted for NeoGeo too. Nothing beats having an arcade-perfect experience in the comfort of your own home. Back then, only the truly hardcore gamer owned a cart-based NeoGeo. Paying hundreds of dollars for a Samurai Shodown cart was worth every penny when you start touring arcades looking for victims.
