Anybody else think that Gurren Lagann would make a good tenchi style clone...you know a few versions from different universes. I just read the gurren lagann High school manga and kinda like the idea of utilizing these characters in some other settings. Might be fun.

The box looks like it will hold 6 volumes total. As usual they give you a lot in the first 2 volumes, like 9 ep or something and then they will probably taper it back. Personally, I think it should be 4 like the subtitled version and then that would leave two slots...one for Parallel works and one for the movie.

The box set is overated save your money. I picked up the mouth opening box set today that includes volumes 1&2 along with the light-up core drill. The box itself is ok with a magnet holding the thing closed. The core drill is utterly craptacular. Basically a tiny xmas light inside that doesn't light it evenly. It also sealed up so you can't even change the battery. Why couldn't they have given this thing a decent LED and a slow strobe function. Damn you Bandai. JUST WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK WE ARE!

Is anybody else's PS3 picking up their DirecTV receiver as a media server. Odly enough I tried to play some videos today and its picking up my satallite receiver but the files are unplayable. If you're getting this too have you been able to get things to play?

Tetsugen 28 looks awsome. BTW if anybody is interested in the live action Tetsugen 28 movie (avail through netflix, 2008) avoid it like the plague. While the movie is only average what kills it are the subtitles. I've never seen a japanese film with such bad subtitling. You literally need a translator to understand the subtitles, and the timing is way off. It gets old really fast, borderline torture...they even manage to get black ox wrong calling him black bear.

If you guys are talking about the 320GB Western Dig SATA drive go for the 7200RPM *the black version" here's how to get it for cheap. Go to Cir City's site and print off the page for the WD 320gb drive (I believe they are only selling the slower blue version (uses less power) but there is no skew on the drive or on the add. Then go to best buy and ask them which drive (they carry both) is the match. My best buy gave me the better drive for the price of the cheaper one on a price match. I paid $89 for the 7200 RPM drive at best buy. Of course I didn't know this was going to happen when I went to price match. I didn't even know WD had 2 series of drives.

I agree. Watched it last night and loved it. Thought it would be one of those movies that rape my childhood.

Funny that their even trying to reduce the heat more. My 60gb doesn't heat up at all. I read somewhere that the original 60gb was tested running it in a 120 degree room for 72 hours without malfunction.

If you can get an oversees PS3 id you should be able to use it.

When I was in Akiba there was a 3 hr wait to play it. I was pissed that I didn't get the chance.

Yep the newest 80gb models aren't backward compatable at all. You gotta get the one's from last xmas. The 60gb still performs better than the 80 and has fewer problems. I've heard that malfunctions requiring return were a bit higher on the 40 and 80gb version.

Too bad we don't get dual mode with the PS3. I want the graphics of the PS3 version but the dual mode of the wii version...I'm torn as to which to buy.

Anyone played the demo of SW force Unleashed? After I adjusted the controls (invert y-axis, tap mode for grabbinging, and other adjustments) It wasn't too bad. Pretty easy though once you get the hang of it all. Did I hear correctly that only the wii version has 2 person battle mode.

Since you guys have read some of the other SW stuff....do any of you remember a comic book where a sith lord finds 3 kids and trains them as sith. Anybody know the name of it and whether there was more than one issue. Came out in the 90's I think. And it was pre EP1
