    huh? Minmay doesn't sing in macross plus. I didn't think the dub for plus was actually that bad.

    I think you might be thinking of robotech which has nothing to do with macross plus.

    OK. My mistake then. I thought you were talking about the whole Macross and Robotech universe.

    Which one of the UN Military Services would you join?

    I was thinking today if we were living in the Macross universe what Branch of Service in the U.N. Military would you join?

    For me I would first join the U.N. Marines since the Marines in my opinion are the best and one of the First combat forces to be deployed into combat. The Marines also have a very long Military history that goes back to the year of 1775.

    Then after spending a few years with U.N. Marines I would transfer to the U.N.S.Marines and continue my military career with them. After spending a several years with the U.N. Marines, I would transfer to the U.N.S. Special Forces to complete my military career.

    Well looks like can't stay in one service for long can I, I guess my since of duty and adventure prevent me from staying in one military service. :lol:

    Again my choices are:

    1. U.N. Marines

    2. U.N.S. Marines

    3. U.N.S. Special Forces

    So please I like to hear from you all, what UN Military service would you join?

    If you want to die quickly, Marines is the right branch in the Macross universe. A single variable fighter can wipe out easily a whole battalion. Also with variables fighters, I don't understand why UN Spacy still need Marines since a vast majority of battles take place in space. Don't get me wrong, Marines is a nice branch but the Air Force or the Navy as a fighter pilot seems to me a more appropriate option regarding the Macross universe.

    It's not a rip of this remastered disc though is it?

    I recently downloaded the rip of the mangle version from a group called white_base. (I already own the movie and OVA dvds)

    Only a matter of time I reckon before someone rips this HQ one and then adds subs plus eng dub.

    Why does everyone hate the dub so much? Don't you like the improved sounds? The yf-21 makes guld sound like he has a god voice.

    It was a joke, right ? :blink: Have you ever heard Minmay singing in english ? It's horrible. Every time I hear "We will win", I want to kill her. And it's one of the many examples. Japanese actors put a lot more afford in their voice acting than the american actors regarding anime.

    DRYL remastered DVD release

    The second disc is the original theatrical cut of the movie (regular credits instead of the FB 2012 credits), and the 3rd disc is variouis extra's, including trailers & the DYRL game footage.

    BTW, not that I actually 100% expect it to be there, but has anyone heard about whether the 3rd disc has a Macross F trailer or not?

    It seems that I made a good choice. ^_^

    Again, this is where real life and Macross life diverge. Just because the USA helps Israel in real-life, doesn't mean that the USA helps Israel in the Macross-universe. In the Macross-universe, things diverge around the late 80s/1990s, simply because Kawamori and co. saw a much different world for their universe when working on SDFM and DYRL?.

    But I thought things diverged when the Macross crashed on Earth in 1999 in the Macross universe.

    IIRC they started off as terrorists back in the 80's then over time evolved into an army by the time of Macross Zero.

    The history had been retconed to show that they were a "Military Organization" that first appeared on the scene in 2005 by destroying the Mars evacuation fleet with a comandeered space destroyer.

    There is an implication that Russia and Israel were covertly involved with the AUN forces since they both jointly developed the SV-51 fighter (however I personally find Isreal's involvement suspect if one looks at the country's traditional political ties, but I didn't write the retcon...). Which nations were involved in supplying the AUN has not been formally revealed.

    What !?!?!? Israel !?!?!? If Israel was involved, that mean USA was involved too in some way, right ? I mean, USA always support Israel no what matter the cost. But I can't imagine Russia and Israel working together since Israel is one of the most loyal ally of the USA.
