Well if Klang does got her scream time in the movie, I wonder if it will included a love triangle between Klang-Michael-????. Being a Macross movie, MF the movie must have triangle story element, singing heroine, and valk action.

Don't really care much for a Macross II sequel, but I'd like some of the concepts and characters from the show used in the official universe or just as cameos. Is it possible to think of Mac II as another in-universe movie like DYRL?, maybe even its sequel, but not as successful?

Some songs does appear in Mac7, like "Riding my Valkyrie" and "Banana Moon Love", and they also used several Mac7 BGM music to Mac7 as well. Also the amusement ship Hollywood also incorporated "culture park" similar to MacII.

Well, if Klang can get her "big" role in the upcoming movie, I demand Wendy Ryder as the main cast for whatever coming to MacII sequel. A 1 hour action of Wendy Ryder involving Macross Cannon would (probably) be enough for me

I'm also with Gubaba on this one (before his avatar is being held at gunpoint ). I liked both SDFM and DYRL, I think they both complement each other.

From SDFM, We got the background story of the UN-Zentraedi war and most of the character background while DYRL greatly emphasize itself on Hikaru-Misa-Minmay relation ship and the final battle with the Zentraedi itself. In SDFM I think we didn't see Misa and Minmay together, all I can remember is when Misa went into Hikaru home and found him living together with Minmay and also in the last episode where they talk to each other. In DYRL, their first meeting (Misa-Minmay) is much more intense (I think it was during the ceremony) and climaxed in Hikaru's room.

Well, talking about SDFM vs DYRL, I think most people will talk about the plot and character development rather than talking about mecha pron.

Just some wild fan base thoughts on what happened to the MF main character after they settled on Vajra homeworld...

- Alto, probably he got some job offer as NUNS squad leader and his father still want him to go back to Kabuki business.

- Brera, he went into house arrest due to his involvement with Galaxy Fleet, released shortly afterward after proven that he was brainwashed while working for Galaxy (same case as ex-Varauta soldiers)

- Luca, he retired from NUNS and SMS and became led his family corporation in preparation to colonize the new world. He also make some breakthrough in fold technology with some help from Vajra and Bilrer.

- Ranka, she was placed under NUNS surveillance for a while due to her bond with the Vajra hive and offered a position as a special ambassador along with her Vajra companion, Ai-kun. She went back to her signing career after that.

- Sheryl, she went into house arrest due to her relation with Galaxy Fleet and placed under surveillance due to her connection with the leader Grace. She insisted to going back to her singing career to compete with Ranka

- Klan, she maintain her role as Pixie squad leader, currently testing a new power suit that was based on Red Vajra exoskeleton.

- Leon, he disappeared when he escape house arrest, last seen running into a Vajra hive.

I don't have any idea yet for the rest of the cast

The Suille Palace Guard Enact reminds me of Talgesse III from wing, probably because of its color.

Shin Kudo needs to be placed near the bottom no matter what, as he got shot down every single time he flew in Zero.

Shin can not be compared with the rest of the valk pilots, he is a total newbie to a VF unlike the rest of the main cast. Shin is a top ace using the conventional fighter (F-14) but he cannot adapt fast enough for high-speed mecha combat.

Unlike certain pilots from Gundam, when using a new prototype unit and used it in combat for the first time, there's a chance of 99.99% it will get trashed.

Talking about anti-UN, did probably lost the UN war and went into hiatus during SW I, some of them probably survive the Zentraedi holocaust and fighting another Anti-UN movement along with their new ally, the Zentraedi.

I doubt the origin of Anti-UN is because of the UN reformation, maybe it was a war for the control of an ASS-1 .
