  1. Heh, maybe that will read something like this:

"About 50 years ago momma Kawamori and papa Kawamori hugged very tightly and then papa Kawamori inserted his XXXXXX into XXXXXXX and 9 months later little Shoji was born". :p

    Graham

I was hoping a litle valk was born....

I wonder when Chronicle will start talking about MF naval vessels. <_<

  2. Question.

I know the new VF-171 is the new mass produced standard fighter replacing the old VF-11 Thunderbolt. But what about the VF-19 and 22? And now with the arrival of the 25 Messiah and VF-27 Lucifer (is that name right?), which Valkyrie is the top performer now? I know the 19 was too be the new mass produced fighter but was really advanced that only a handful of talented pilots could handle, and the VF-22 is for special ops now replacing the old VF-17 Nightmares. So where do they all stand in terms of being overall the more advanced/powerful/versatel valk? I know the answer would probably be based on opinion, but still, I would like to know which one would be the best/overall.

Well, the compendium said that VF-171 is easy to use, maybe not as powerfull as the VF-19/22, but for a mass produced grunt valk, I prefer a valk that is easily replaced while pilot training is faster (no need for Basara or Isamu type to handle the valk).

With the introduction of VF-25/27, I say the next generation valk is the VF-25 while VF-27 is reserved for assault valk. VF-25 have all the characteristic of main force valk (several variant like squad commander, etc, and also can be equipped with FAST pack and Armoured pack).

Not to mention the introduction of EX-Gear system mean the pilot could be handle the high-G performance of the new valk relatively easier compare with other model.

On side note, NUNS decide not to adopt VF-19 as main fighter after they found out that most VF-19 stationed on some planet are strangely painted in red and came equipped with speakers and later, stolen by Basara. J/K

  3. That said, the idea of fat, sweaty fanboys singing "Zero-G Love" is downright hysterical! ^_^

What about a skinny, sexy fangirls singing "Zero-G Love" while showering, I bet most member will approved it.

And like Pete said, by that time the singing contest is held, he would disguise himself in Minmay avatar or Basara avatar. ^_^

I wish MW will held a contest for members and giving some them chance of winning MF merchandises.

  4. @Morpheus: ¥2,200 (¥2,095+tax).

Available at any bookstore that carries Macross Chronicle. Or check the hobby sections of your local bookstore(s). (I'm saying this, 'cuz you're listed as being in Tokyo... which makes your question exceedingly odd).

That's because the three bookstores that I visited yesterday doesn't have it ^_^ I'll try a bigger bookshop today.

  5. the wife and I have talked about adopting a girl from China, I've floated the minmei balloon but she shot it down. :(

Tell her that you want to adopt an alien girl (Meltran) and named her Miriya, I bet she will shot you instead of the ballon

  6. Hmm, I want to see Misa in a skimpy Chinese outfit like Minmay, and than compare her with the military uniform.

Hmm, something is missing here, we're discussing about Misa hotness and MisaForever is nowhere to be found, someone get him here ASAP, I think last time I saw him is in Klang thread.

  7. S is saved for the best pilots. They also tend to rank higher. And look at Hikaru. He was still a Lieutenant when he got the Skull-1. What does that tell you?

I have to disagree, S is for squad leader which mean leadership capability is much more important than skill.

Look at Diamond Squadron, Gamlin is a much more seasoned pilot (and trained by Miriya herself), but he doesn't got his VF-17S.

When Hikaru got his S, I doubt that none of his squad member could outrank him at that time.

  8. Flying or not flying an S isn't an indication of anything other than rank. Roy got an S because he was a CAG (right?), Hikaru took over his role (though, MAX did first in DYRL before he went off to fly Q-Raus with Millia). Just because M&M never used S-types is because they either preferred the Js, or their ranks never got high enough, but neither is an indication that they weren't top aces. You can be a top ace and NOT be the highest rank possible, especially if you have the flying skills but not the leadership.

    Vostok 7

Or the attitude....imagine what happened if Isamu became a squadron leader.

Hikaru may not be as good as Max, but his leadership capability is unquestionable, if he didn't dissapear with Misa, I bet he would be the fleet commander for SDF-3 Pioneer.....I mean Macross 7 colony fleet.
