I don't really like teh Dreamwave models...so Revoltech Megs and Convoy suffer in my book for being personifications of Pat Lee's nightmarish designs....
But Revoltech in general I find to be absolutely lovely. I own a lot of them and plan on owning many more. My favorites...it's hard to say... Dix Neuf is great...
But in all honesty...I really love Yotsuba :) :) :)
VFTF1
im a huge Pat Lee fan, i love his Transformer designs. They are 90% show accurate with a slight upgrade. Im a huge comic fan and i love Pat Lee's work so when i found out that the Convoy and Megatron revoltech's were based of his designs they were a must own

Also seriously looking for a hasegawa VF-0S Fighter model.
if you are selling one, please let me know

Models
in Model kits
yeah, that is what i thought as well. All the online shops i usually shop at have been out of stock for what seems like forever and the only one on ebay is in Hong Kong and with shipping the seller wants $60 for it, which is a bit steep for that kit if you ask me.

well, grayson....if you dont think you will get around to building a hasegawa vf-0s fighter and feel like selling one...please let me know.

awesome. thanks for the info.
what did you use to scribe the lines? hobby knife? Hasegawa inscriber?

To be fair, I find that the VF-1 Revoltechs are not anywhere near the best of the Revoltech figures... they're fun and all, but I way more enjoy my Ingram Revoltech and my Dougram ones than my VF-1J fig... the design on a whole doesn't totally make a great action figure IMO... same reason Transformers figures aren't nearly as fun as real Transformer toys I think... (G1 TFs > Action Masters. Always.)
i completely agree. the best revolteh so far IMO is the Ingram 1. Amazing detail for such a little toy. I love the transformer revoltech's as well...they are probably second on my list.
as far as good revoltech figs go, the macross ones are probably 3rd or 4th behind Patlabor, Convoy and Revy

you rock.
-
sweet holy crap...i need that figure. im just waiting for a US seller to have it and to read a good review of it.
-
does this still take place in the nazi era, or later...thus explaining the aging?
-
thats a good point. why are they choosing to celebrate the 25th ani. of macross with a toy that is not part of the 25 year old line up?
i guess the yf-19 is just meant to celebrate macross in general

misterryno,
does your local anime shop have any left?
a buddy of mine is seriously searching for one.
-
i have the 1/60 vf-1a max.
slightly panel lined with pen/marker...i cant tell as i didnt do it, and some stickers applied.
$35 shipped in the US.
if outside of the US, if interested I will get you a quote.

those kurosawa figs are great!
-
ratchet and codam...good looking stuff!
-
has yamato tried to acquire the rights the the supernova scheme?
-
good news, if this turns out to be the same release pattern as the 1/72 m+ valks
might be a safe assumption
-
i think its a great idea and i would buy it as soon as it becomes available.
i have the transformers generations books and i love those. full of great pics.
-
well, ive never put together a bandai kit, but the hasegawa kits are perfect. great detailing all around. the battroids are sturdy and poseable.
highly recommended

so, are you honestly telling me that your 4500+ posts have never been off topic and pertain 100% to the thread that they are posted in?
whatever...dont answer that.
im over it.
-
and you've been around long enough to know that eventually every toy thread will eventually become derailed by rampant battying about something yamato did or didn't do, should or should not do.
a suggestion is not battying....nor is a wish for a certain toy.
-
that is a good looking jacket.
i dont smoke, but i want that zippo as well.
-
most movie goers dont go to the movies to to see newtonian physics or to excersice stratigic thinking.
they just go to be entertained, and end up battying about someting anyway.
-
cool...just thougt i would give a heads up..
btw...avoid TISinc. (tropical island sports) at all costs.
-
sorry, didnt mean to fly off the handle.
i know the sticker sets and water slides for the MG scheme exist, but i was referring the the actual tampo printing. Straight out of the box, the yamato 1/48's hardly have any markings. Squadron number, UN Spacy kite, intake warnings and thats about it.
i know its probably a bigger job that what im taking about, but if Yamato were to take the 1/48 vf-1s, paint it gray and take the hasegawa MG waterslides and scale them into 1/48 stickers...there would be alot of happy fans.

hey guys!
Im finally getting settled in to my new place and i wanted to take some pics of what i have. Not everything is unpacked yet and the vf-1's are in somewhat boring poses but i just wanted to add my collection to this thread.
On top of the display case are some boxes that im sure you all recognize as well as the 20th ani. Optimus Prime, Voyager Movie Prime, Leader Movie Prime, Metal Gear Solid 2 Trading figs and the Masterpiece Lego Snowspeeder.
1st shelf are Japanese exclusive transformer. MP-01, the original Star Convoy, Metalforce Convoy, SHBM Galvatron, the 6 main Cybertrons from Transformers: Victory and few other tf's thrown in.
the second shelf is 1/48 Macross with a 1/60 VF-0S and YF-19 on the end. Also a 1/60 yamato strike thrown in.
3rd shelf is more transformers. TF2000, Superlink, Galaxy Force, Masterforce, Beastwars and some odds and ends. Im a big Convoy fan so i try to get all the different versions of him though most of mine are still in boxes waiting to be unpacked.
I have a much smaller shelf off to the side with some Revoltech's my Black Hybrid Convoy (THANKS MISTERRYNO!) the Stereo Who's Next Girl and some others. More pics to come when the rest is unpacked. Please enjoy.
