So just how many of the Mass Macross Emigration Fleets are there out there and what are their ties to earth? Are they all out of range of Earth?

Well, to give you ideas, Macross 25 is the 55th large-scale, super-long-distance colonization fleet. So there's 54 colonization fleet before Frontier, which 24 of them are New Macross class, and 13 of them are Megaroad class. They usually are self-dependent, and with good reason: with the fold faults, traveling from Earth to another colonization fleet takes way too long the time, although research about fold booster that bypass the faults is being tested by LAI, and used by Micheal to reach Galia 4. No info is given, as far as I recall, if the colonization fleet have constant communication with Earth, although I think they wouldn't do that too often.

Well, seeing that Galaxy did asked for Frontier's help when their ship is being attacked by Vajra during the early episodes of Frontier, I say yes.

I ask because Leon (where we are now in the released epz) keeps stating that the Vajyra (sp?) are out to destroy and eradicate us. That Frontier is humanity last hope etc etc.

I think his speech is directed to the people of Frontier, and the term humanity is more likely referred to the citizens of Frontier. That, and politicians love use big words to emphasis their point, especially someone like Leon. Don't take what his said literally.

Well, there's one example: Macross 5 has strong Zentradi motives, and possibly designed to carry Zentrandi for colonization project.

Can't whowever 'they' are wait until after the show is finished and all 25 episodes have been fansubbed first.

I don't want the fansubbers to drop Frontier because it's been licenced and then we have to wait who knows how long (a couple of years maybe!), to see the last couple of episodes subbed (or yuk, dubbed) in English in an official release.

While of course I'm happy for an official release outside of Japan, we are so close to the end now, I want eps 24 and 25 fansubbed within days of their airing on Japanese TV.

Don't run any program that consume lots of CPU when watching mkv also helps, too.

Agreed. I'm not too big a fan for a sequel, too. If there's going to have a Macross show next year, I hope it will be something new.

My personal view: judging from Alto's personality, I think he may end up choosing no one. He isn't really interested romantically to both of them, and until the future episodes give us more concrete proof, I don't think we can make a final call on this love triangle.

Same here. I stumbled onto Frontier while watching Gundam 00 because the same fansub group was subbing these 2 shows. I watched ep1 of Frontier and the introduction of the war with zentradi really intrigued me. I went to look up Macross on wiki and I was amazed at the history of this franchise. That was when I know I have to watch the original series. I wasn't even born when SDF macross was showing, so imagine my awe and surprise when I realized that it was one of the most beautiful stories ever told in the world of anime. It was totally awesome.

I was still very young when Macross 7 was showing but of course I went finish the entire series after watching SDF Macross. Then I went on to Macross Plus and Macross Zero. After that I continued Frontier. I always used to think that gundam was THE mecha anime to watch but after discovering this old gem that is Macross, I couldn't believe how much I've been missing out. I'm really glad I get to watch these wonderful series.

An advice to you: don't just think that Gundam or Macross is THE only mecha show. There are plenty of mecha shows that are actually quite good, so be bold and try to see some others.

I partially disagree. I think at least some of her objectives are in lines with Leon's ambitions, or Leon wouldn't have interested to work together with her. Conspirators must have somethings to hold them together. Seen your updated post. Yeah, gaining control of Vajra is one of their objectives, and I have a deep suspicion that Grace would likes Leon to sit on President's chair.

Which bring me to this question: why Grace wanted a shift of power in UNG political structure? How does replacing Leon with Howard will benefit her plans? Another mystery of Grace and co.

Errr... Last time I check, this thread is about Grace's plan, not Grace's boobs...

Back to topic: I think the problem of deducing Grace's plan is that we knows so little of Grace and her plan. We know that it involves conflicts between Vajra and Frontier, and she wished that Macross Frontier to reach Vajra homeland safely, judging from her comment about Vajra can't takes down Frontier yet in the recent episodes.

We also knows she wants to use Sherly and Ranka for unknown means (yes, we know Ranka can control Vajra with her song, but why she even wanted to use the ability at the first place?), that she is one of the members who, together with Mao and Ranshe, are trying to research about the V-type infection. She has a partnership with Leon, although I think the partnership only started when Grace and Leon's "date" on episode 10.

So here's the problem: what's the ultimate objective of Grace's plan? To eliminate Vajra? But why she wanted to do so? And how Galaxy is related to her plans, if such connection exists? I hope Episode 23 will at least answer some of our questions, since we knows too little about this 'queen b*tch of the galaxy'. (no pun intended)
