Now have to report more broken sholder hinges. That's right, both right and left hinges on my V.2 1/60 VF-1S have cracks! They haven't fallen off yet but, this sucks... This is after ~5 transformations. I usually keep mine in fighter mode. Yesterday, I transformed it to show my cousin. That went fine. This morning I thought, "lemmie check the shoulder hinges to see how they are doing." So now, my day is ruined! I hope my 1A and 1J hold up better. Haven't transformed them yet...

I'll have to go back and re-read this whole post to try and find remedy.

  2. Right on mate. I put in an order for a set about a month back with HLJ....I hope mine come in soon. . That stealth you have there looks amazing....I miss mine so much...I just don't know why I got rid of it. . I'm holding out though on getting a stealth until the v.2 1/60 comes out. BRING ON SOME MORE PICS!!!

Thanks! More pix when everythings "kosher" if ya know what I mean?

Here's to hoping your parts come in soon!!!

  3. I think the ultraviolent coating is based on the colors. Hikaru's has a reddish/violet/violent coating, while Focker has amber/yellowish coating. If Max's turns out to have blue coating then we have our answer.

Maybe, but I still think it doesn't look right. It seems like a defect. Too much mirror coating. Looks really hazy in person.

  4. Got my 1A last Friday from HLJ. Transformed to battroid with no problems. The shoulder swivel is a bit looser with this one. This is a good thing and helps with the transformation. My only complaint with this release is the "ultraviolent" coat on the canopy--they put too much on this one! The 1S was just right.

  5. Nice discovery Jepoyako but can the 1/60 hands hold the 1/48 gunpod without modification or force?

Fixed pose V.2 hand with 1/48 gunpod=too snug, needs force to attach

Articulated V.2 hand with 1/48 gunpod=too loose, falls off when attached to valk

Articulated V.2 hand on 1/48 stealth w/out gunpod

:( I think I may have screwed up my fixed pose 1/60 hands. The 1/60 gunpod fits loose after attaching the 1/48 gunpod. Use caution if you wanna try this!!!!!! <_<

  6. I believe the answer is Yes! I just tried. Not as snug of a fit on the 1/48, but looks decent. Here's one on a 1/48 stealth:post-6213-1217974186_thumb.jpg

Here's the included 1/48 stealth hands next to the included 1/60 hands:

I forgot to try the 1/60 articulated hands, but if the fixed ones fit I'm sure they (articulated hands) would too.

I'm still waiting for my 1/60 to arrive and I think I'm going to keep my 1/48's, so I'll ask again

has anyone tried putting the 1/60 articulated or fixed hands on the 1/48? Are the pegs the same size?

reason I ask is because if they fit, I might want to recast the 1/60 hands to put on my 1/48's

    thanks in advance

  7. My HLJ shipping was kind of like yours as well where they just put it in a box and wrapped a thin plastic wrap over it. Is HLJ skimping on their packaging now? No bubble wrap, no peanuts no air cushions just a little plastic wrap?

At least your's had plastic wrap! So your toy box was damaged too?

  8. My vote for the toy was that it was perfect! My only complaint was for the box. Not anything on yamato, just plain shipping bad luck. HLJ's box isn't a snug fit and they did not wrap the toy box with bubble wrap or anything. The shipping box was beat up a bit and caused some stress marks on the toy box.

    Loving this toy!
