just got my first yamato valk this week. This is my first post on the forums as well. Bad camera phone, sorry. Notice anything wrong with my valk? .....No heat sheild! It was missing when i opened the figure. Can anyone tell me, are the heat sheilds attached to the valk at the factory? I just want to be sure that it wasn't seperate from the figure and i'm just not noticing it. Can yamato send replacement parts? Any suggestions? I'll probably post this question on the 'what's wrong with my figure' thread as well. HELP!
When I first TF'd my 1/48 Max I could not find the heat shield either. Are you sure that it is not just stuck. Look under the chest plate again. I do not have max anymore otherwise I would point out where to look exactly. Hope you find it.

Glad to see that those 1/55's are being appreciated! BTW, where's the 1/48 max?
Ooooooohhhh, I was waitin for someone to ask....I just.....how do I say this the right way....I just wasn't happy with him. Sooooo I traded him with Ratchet. Max has a better home now. He has more love now than I could ever give him. I have a 1/48 CF on the way though. I will probably keep him for a while. My 1/55 army is almost complete. I just need a few more figs that will cost me quite a few body parts.

You might want to drop a line on Neova, the last I heard from him is that he still has a few left!
Neova eh....Thanks.

:/ Not a chunky monkey fan. Not a 1/72 fan.
The only "old" Yamato Macross I kept is my 1/60 Elint seeker - the 1/60s were tolerable insofar as they looked like perfect transformations.
But those chunky monkeys just don't do it for me. They look like they were taken out of an old Nintendo game ... very 2D...
And the legs - not as terrible as the Robotech Crapterpiece legs - but still just not anime accurate.
VTTF1 (Who likes non-anime accurate chunky G1 TF toys, but prefer anime accurate beautiful Macross toys)
As I have stated to many before, to each their own. Please do "strike a pose" with your favs if you have not already. All talk and no show makes VFTF1 a dull boy.

Graham's Sig

Graham has been very quiet on this tread lately, which means we already hit it.My money is on the VFX VF-17. It doesn't require lots of engineering like the YF-19 or the SV-51, so in terms of cost and profit, is a win win situation for Yamato. I think when Graham said "saturation, penetration" he was referring to the years he has been bugging Yamato to make it. I remember him saying several times that the 17 is his favorite VF, so it makes sense.
Good detective work there....now let's just see if it pans out.

The '48 is one of the most durable "perfect" transforming Macross toys to date. Granted there were problems with backpacks hinges and...what else? I don't recall, however the '48 has stiff joints and sturdy enough construction to handle relatively rough, quick transformations and handling from experiened users which is waaaay more than anyone can say for the rest of their lineup...
I am guessing, I am not an experianced user....LOL....I'm really not. But anyways....I'm just saying it needs to be as duarable as let's say a Bandai 1/55....there....I said it. LMAO
