No. They do not have the rainbow canopy, And they have the updated shoulder hinges. They also have the side covers, and behind the neck cover, and the pilots seat deployed when in battroid mode.
Yes.... Here is a pic of my DYRL Hikaru A, next to the TV Roy. And yes, The DYRL Hikaru S is the same shade as the A. Just different head, and call sign(001 vs 011).
I got my V2 VF-1D 30th anniversary. But I got it myself....so I don't consider it holiday loot. I actually got nothing from my wife for X-mas. And yes...I got her something she wanted. I hate this time of year.
Worse case.... you could buy a 1/100 or a 1/72 Bandai one from Ebay. Those will be easier to get. OR.... I may sell mine.... for the right price. But it won't be cheap.
Exactly. People should be comparing this to the old Imai 1/72 parts forming kit......not the V2 Yamato's.
Yup...me too. I like the fact that these new ways of designing and revamping the good ole VF-1 are being used. I know the design has been played out......but I love the VF-1's. If it ends up looking similar to a Hasegawa design, but can transform.....the best of both worlds (toys, and model kits).
