  1. Thanks ikhii, may I be the first to say ..love it. Are you going to do a few variations on the fighter mode? (FP on/off, wings normal from front etc.?) Loving your work.
  2. Yeah i'm kinda an old skool sci-fi nut. After season 3 we have a 2 part tv/straight to dvd movie called Razor (out in november) which will deal with the Pegasus' time after the intial attack on the colonies, leading upto where she found the Galactica, then we have some more 'webisodes' (3-5 min shows that will be online only at sci-fi.com), and finally S4 will be the last season where (we hope) we'll get to earth. Season 4 will be split into 2 parts so the end wont be shown until 2009. Bummer eh. if either of you get stuck with finding episodes, old or new or webisodes, i may be able to help. drop me a PM sometime.
  3. Me want toys too............ A Yamato or Bandai 1/60 would be nice.. mmmmmmmm
  4. Well warpaint22, Galactica 1980 (the second season to which you are refering) is due for a dvd release in the new year, which will be the first time its been out to buy to my knowledge. Its available on some torrent sites in quite good TV quality. As for the Pegasus, you're thinking of one of the the old shows many 2 parters 'living legend' it was an awsome story.. but... wait for the season 3... you'll dig it.. and thats all i'll say on the subject. ooh, just found this.. http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/news/Galactica...es-Box-Art/8079
  5. Well Mr March I'm you're diggin it as much as the rest of us. How good is ep10? (pegasus) its a real shocker to see that turn up and then nearly blow the crap out of each other.. the viper stand off is tense. so now u know what the "beast" is. Got kinda choked at the bit where they present the blackbird to the president.. you're right the charcters are so 3 dimensional, its a refreshing change for tv in gerneral, nerver mind sci-fi. BSG is far and away the best thing to happen to the sci-fi world in years which is why i would campaign for Ron Moore to try to get involved with the Robotech movie.. can u imagine.....
  6. Great work boinger, i downloaded all the M0 files today (first time using the imacross4 server thing) and its great! I love the M0 dub but i cant get the files to join up..HJsplit does not recognise the wmv files, and virtualdub dont like them either, but its still great. i got a great fansub copy of DYRL from http://www.anime-eden.com/ as well as a lot of other macross stuff. It is best to 'join' and get the premium package, its only $5 for a month and the speeds and choice are much better (i think the DYRL is premium only). Give it a looksee and let me know what u think.

I wish! nah Yamato are infamous for doing their own version of scaling.. it will (if it ever materialises) most likely be a 1/60 that will not be quite right next to a YF-19 or YF-21, but we can always hope they dont screw up the scales
  8. As much as i love the original Galactica, the new one far surpasses it. Its funny that they have a site dedicated to the new show where they have obviously gone out of their way to find and make images, only to slate it! I just dont get some people!?! Yes the old show was great in its day, in a kind of cheesey, rose tinted glasses kind of way. It brought up some very engaging issues at the time and broke new ground in a lot of ares, but wht the new show does is incredible! (SPOILER ALERT - MR MARCH... DO NOT READ ON!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!) Take the first couple of episodes of S3 for example, you have suicide bombings, fascism, euthanasia to name only a few rough topics. at the time of airing, with the state of the world and what was (and still is) going on in the far east, i thought is was pretty daring, i in the show, we on the almost jihad quest against out oppressors! wow... role reversals... controversial much?
  9. Found some more nice wallpapers. check out scifidesktop.org for some more.
  10. I'm afraid i've never seen them (unfortunately). I tried contacting ZOIC for some images as i cant find them either, but i have never had a reply. If you should find any decent ones, gimme a shout. EDIT - took out a spoiler ( sorry mate)
  11. thats your work in the comp. chart? Nice work Mr March! you never cease to amaze!
  12. Damnit... i was just searching for a picture of that! beat me to it.
  13. Holy s:@t! nice pics Swoosh! Keerching... there goes my wallet again! EDIT - actually i vote u put those in the "strike a pose" gallery mate... thwey are really awsome shots.
  14. As promised, here are the Raptor and Viper images. (thanks to Starship Builder and google images). and one HUGE size comp chart that i thought was kinda cool.

    Graham's Sig

I thought this thread needed some reviving.. since i'm at work and bored (its 3.42am and i still have 3 hours to go), i did some reading and was reminded that Yamato built that uber gucci 1/350 space battleship yamato with lights and moving turrents, well why the hell havent they built an uber gucci 1/(whatever) SDF-1? Whats stopping them? and where has the 'G'man been? this thread went quiet all of a sudden or is it just general consensus that we are all bored of playing Yamato's guessing game? go.. check out the 1/350 SBS yamato.. think... what would an SDF-1 look like? mmmmmmmmm
  16. No probs. They are not the speediest shipping ever but they package well and some things are suprisingly cheap (YF-21 FP and some of their 1/60's too).
  17. No worries.. thats what we're here for!
  18. Well the quick answer is.. yes. but simpler. a lot simpler. and yes, more diecast. do you remember the old Jetfire? the big one with the rocket packs? well they are one and the same! The 1/55's are a helluva lot easier to transform and a lot more robust. If you check this page out it should answer a couple of questions for you. http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/toys/b...ue_1s_super.htm
  19. Hi there misterryno, welcome to MW (macross world), glad you found an animation you dig after Transformers.. as far as new toys goes, if you're used to TF'mers, i can definately recommend looking for a bandai 1/55 reissue (hint - jetfire was one of these originally).. any of them will do (they are all good).. Most people here will direct you to the Yamato line which are probably the best but if you're only just getting into the scene and want something a little less 'fragile' and a bit more 'sturdy' to play with, the Bandai's are definatly the way forward. Its a kind of 'break you in gently' thing. You can find a few on ebay and some other good toy sites, but dont forget the word "reissue", thats the key otherwise you end up looking at $150+++++ for one. you can get a good one (usually the brown VF-1A canon fodder or CF version) for around $50-$60 and shop around, you may even get a better one for that price. here are some starting points. http://www.chibitokyo.com/index.asp?PageAc...mp;Category=511 http://www.yesanimation.com/macrossbandai.html Of course, all of this is only a suggestion.. if you're already a seasoned collector, stick with the Yamato stuff.
  20. ikhii, thats just AWSOME!!! i want no, HAVE to see more. I know i keep saying it, but its always good to see somebody trying something new. Keep up the good work!! (copied from the SV-51 thread)
