a little update and apology. sorry for jumping the gun but the package i got wasnt the clear fast packs. it was from yamato, macross, definately pretty cool but not the fast packs. im sure those will be coming soon.

i just received a huge box from yamato with the macross logo on it. im not gonna open it until the relatives leaves sunday but im sure its what we've all been waiting for.

well, if you go to the site, you'll see that it is indeed the homepage for liquid stone. was kidding about having to enhance the photos. i took down the info when i was there. clarified.

that does look pretty cool! too bad i didnt see it but i was only able to attend the festival for an hour this time. had a flight to catch and the lines and the crowds at the festival almost killed me. i did pick up this mospedea ride armor that i dont think i will ever be able to build.

is there an exact release date for these yet? march is coming up soon! also, did yamato ever send out confirmations of orders placed? one funny thing, i got a letter in the mail from yamato this week. i thought it was a confirmation for the fast packs but instead it was an order form for just the helmets saying that its still not too late to purchase the helmets. so.....if anyone still wants one. heh. btw, did anyone from macrossworld order these helmets? there's got to be somebody. i wanna know!

So am I the only one that thinks they resemble 1/48 CF feet? just for the record, it was a hikaru vf-1j

there is a huge difference in seeing the vf-0 from a scan of a magazine and seeing the vf-0 in person. the detail on it is pretty damned nice, i would even say its more detailed than the 1/48. yamato definately knows what they are doing.

hey guys. thanks for the compliments. this custom was actually pretty simple but i dont think i will want to another one. at least not in my studio apartment. there's just not enough room. i had parts everywhere. although it looks black, the color i used is actually a dark blue and the sun wasnt really that bright when i took the pictures. the color that's seen in the magazine photos look more like a dark gray though. i kinda wish i was able to weather it a lot more but wasnt able to achieve that effect. even dark dark black didnt really show up that well against the blue. what can i do about this? also i didnt really mind the seam on the vf-1s head before too much but after i puttied it, i think it looks so much better w/o the seam. i also sanded out the 'made in china' on the wings which was bugging me. ill probably do a fast pack when i get back.
