I personally don't think its a flop. Mospeada has a lot of cool elements, only they didn't took much effort/advantage of it in the animated series.

Hmm..I compared some tech details of the Legioss and VF-1A. In atmosphere it's a close combat. The legioss is a smaller target but is slower than the VF-1A. Firepower main gun (both 3 barreled): VF1A > 55mm Legioss > 80mm Legioss can fly in battroid mode. Can use micromissiles as flares or suprise attack (missiles aimed towards the back in fightermode) Ehm... I prefer the Legioss!

Maybe not? A Legioss could use his micromissiles to hit incoming enemy missiles. Does anyone know how many missiles a VF-1s and a Legioss got?

Pssst... Get "pepakura viewer". No manual, just build using the questionmark icon button to show the corresponding flap on the model preview (surface is indicated with red). Make sure your printers margin is set to 0mm to print to the max. edge of the paper as possible (if your printer supports that). If some parts don't fit, its excess you can cut away with ease.
