See, that's why you need a secret account. One that you just put in a few dollars here and there. Over a few months, you realize that you have a few $100 in there. Guys, this is too much. I see you guys getting all worked up over something I believe everyone agrees upon, but you are all wording it differently. The 1D is a multipurpose plane.

You see Shin and Edgar move from an F-14 to a 0D, so that may tell you that it was designed for the dual cockpit pilot/navigator teams. Then there is the role of training. The Trainer call sign on the cockpit would be a good indication of the fact that the orange and brown indicate a trainer, not the Halloween squadron.

It's all evident that it was used as a fighter as well, cause we see it for Max and Milia's marriage, and a CF 1D.

That is definitely interesting. Killing in extremely quick ways, or being cooked by a microwave from the inside out slowly seems very interesting. I hope this is a technology we decide not to share.

Some food for thought... The VF-1D is just a variant of the other valks with two seats. However, did anyone think that maybe just that one in the first episode happened to be a trainer? As in M0, it was probably set up for pilots who moved from the F-14 and dual seat fighters to the new Valks.

What this means is that the colors may have distinguished that particular plane as a trainer, but the type may not have been specifically designed for training. Thus, the reason the "Trainer" call sign on the side of the cockpit.

OK, here's my view:

If we were to apply this to today, and to how women really are, Hikaru would've gotten his ass kicked by Minmay. Hikaru was an A-hole, Misa was a backstabbing "B", and poor Minmay was the naive girl who got screwed over by everyone.

Think about it! Kaifun used her to make money and exploit her, Hikaru liked her but was a homoe, and Misa was a trifullen biatch who can't find her own "G". Sorry for the gangster terminology, but these days, Minmay would've opened up a can of whoop-ass all over homo Hikaru, and Misa would not be looking as good as she did in the cartoon. The local Yakuza probably had "stock" invested in Minmay and in her work, and anyone who threatened her career would've been real sorry.

IMHO, I'd like to see a Sivil and Emilia. The Max an Milia would be cool as well, but definitely those first two.

This is a great subject. I used to buy the little, but powerful chinese firecrackers and extra wick and string them far apart. Then I'd set up scenes where my Joes were tossing (or seemed to be) grenades. I'd have my Cobra men next to the firecrackers and a Joe or two near them. Systematically, you'd see dirt fly up along with a figure. Sometimes, an arm or leg would fly off, but usually the guys would be pelted with "shrapnel".

As far as customizing mistakes, I took an old Invid Shock Trooper and tried to paint it more to the cartoon, and when I f'ed up, I used nail polish remover to fix it. The plastic got all soft and began to warp using just that. I was 12 and pissed to no end. Thank god for remembering mistakes. I still wish I had my Joes though. I miss them soo much

Ahhh, the good ol' days of electronics engineering. V=IxR, or in this case, R=V/I. Just make sure your LED can handle 3 volts. If it's not rated to handle that much, then go with the resistor that will drop the voltage to the specification. Use the given formulas to find the resistance needed. Otherwise, buy an led that will match your power supply. I've done this for a few toys, and it's really easy. If you have questions, pm me, I'll help you out.

I usually get them at local hobby shops. For my finishes, I apply the decals straight onto the paint, then just spray a couple layers of Model Master Dull coat onto the Tamiya paint. This usually works quite well and will seal the paint and decals at the same time so that they (decals) look painted on. But either way works. I do recommend using primer on the metal parts, and high sheen plastic. Plastic will always need a light sanding to create grip for the paint. Trust me, I've had my share of chipping and peeling.

Rahxephon was a good OVA. Gundam Seed I have yet to watch, but it looks great as well. For Mac 0 to do so well, they're definitely doing something right. I just wish it didn't take so damn long to come out between releases. UGH!!!

The Gundam Markers are basically paint markers, but they have a slim one that is either black or grey for panel lines. I've tried one (grey), and they aren't that great. They do work, but I believe you can get the same results using pencil. If you want to dull coat it afterward, you can seal the lead in it. Funny thing though, is the lead will actually darken, but it looks good though. Check the customs thread in this room and see my VF-1D custom. The panels that I did do, I did in pencil. They came out alright.

I've spoken to the HG higher ups, and yes it's pushed back. They say June, but we'll see. Even I'm not surprised of the push back. We'll see how long it takes.

That method works, but it does take some time. If you want an easy method, try using a .5mm mechanical pencil and do the panels like that. You have control of the darkness you want, and you can clean it up if you don't want them. It sounds "mickey mouse", but it can actually produce some great results if you take your time. You can even do some slight weathering with it, but that's another subject.

Ghadrack, that idea is pretty out there, but I like it. Perhaps they should just solve that mistery anyways.

I think anything during the Protoculture era would be fantastic. Their usage of music, mecha, and it would be/could be so deep, it would almost rival Star Wars in size and plot. Just so long as there's no stupid aliens running around yelling, "Miza sooo hungry", or stupid lines like that.

That whole story could answer just about every single question and tie up every Macross series out.

Geez, I have to worry about friends more than kids. All the kids that have come over I've never had problems with. It's my buddies. Unfortunately, I can't just smack them and tell them no! I have to go into this long talk about how hard the toy was to get and how much it's worth. Then they start handling it with their eyes two inches from the thing and pretend like they're 8 or 9 again. I think they need a leash and need it tied to a tree out back.

The reason I can laugh is cause I've tried some stupid stuff and fell off a roof one time. Now, that hurt, but still, gotta laugh.

It's a monster of a car. Especially once I get the EVO VII chip in there. I love the fact that it already has the Brembos, the inverted shocks, and the more sophisticated all wheel drive set-up than the WRX. That's why I decided to go with it. Honestly, I'm going with the blue color and may debate having some Max Sterling graphics done on it. It all depends on money and if I really want the hassle.

Nick, like the car man... Anyways, I had a 93 Honda Accord Ex the had the cold air, headers, exhaust, and Brembo brakes. Even with just those few mods, that car kicked major A$$, especially on the freeway. A race where speed isn't everything.

Well, what ended up happening is I ended up smacking the rear end of a 59 Rolls, and I had to lose my car because the insurance wouldn't cover all the damage for such an expensive and rare car. To make maters worse, the car's driver was a personal injury attorney who had his own practice.

Last year I bought a Matrix Xrs, and will trade it in for an 04 Evo when they are out in July. I'm not in need to mod this much, but I will probably chip this since I have the EVO VII chip in my possession. Then I think I'll go with the intercooler and Cold Air again. I don't care much for the muffler upgrade, but we'll see. I like to keep the mods under the hood, where you can't really see them.

Just the chip will change that car from the 271 HP to a whopping 317. I'm looking to make mince meat out of some guy who thinks he's mario andretti in his Nissan 350Z. I think I'll have fun though with the STi's though.

Beam sabres just kind of dumb down the reality of what Macross was/is. A modern day world gets a blessing/curse of an alien space ship, and they implement new technological ideas with contemporary weaponry. That's what made it so intriguing is the "realness" of the show. The bayonet on the VF-11 is a melee weapon, but still has a realness to it.

And like someone said, this is Macross, not Gundam. If I really was into the fantasy sci-fi, Gundam does a little more in that realm. Me, I like it close to reality.

Regular Pinesol. I tried using the lemon stuff and it's composition didn't work for sh*t!! There have been times I forgot to take the parts out of Pinesol, and even after a day or so of sitting, they were fine. Just use whatever you feel safe with.
