  1. That's great news! Looking forward to the new designs.
  2. Totoro242, nice update! Looks like you got the boxes for your Legiosses. Question: The three smaller boxed Legiosses in the top left corner of the pic...Are they the 1/55 variable toys? And are the same as the ones all the way in the bottom right corner of the pic (two loose, one boxed)?
  3. I've been digging around, but can't find any promo photos of the 1/12 RSC set...but my memory (probably wrong) tells me I've seen something before... Anyone got pics?
  4. There was some talk of replacing the black rubber tips with clear ones....Is this still being considered? Would it be difficult to use the same material already being used for the anti-slip "grips" on the underside of the base?
  5. Does anyone know if the 1/18 Red Shoulder Custom parts that Takara Tomy are releasing for the DX Scopedog will be released only as an accessory set? Or possibly bundled with a Scopedog as a completed set as well?
  6. Hmm, this will be the first transforming entry in the Shin Geiki Gokin line, right?....I wonder how Aoshima will pull this off. Their Shin Geiki Gokin Mazinkaisers and Getters are heavy duty gokins, but not so good when it comes to engineering...relative to their close competitors, the Bandai SOCs. A transforming toy might be a bit of a challenge. Of course, the various Harlock Arcadias are gorgeous, but they just have to sit there and look pretty!
  7. I really don't think they're half bad in fighter mode.
  8. After the Giant Robo, Yamato went on to make vinyl Super Robot figures like Shin Getter, Grendizer and Ideon....and now a Groizer, I believe. But the Giant Robo was their only non-transforming diecast. Like everyone else, I have always wondered why diecast Destroids haven't been in Yamato's pipeline since Day One. Seems like a no-brainer. On the topic of no-brainers, so would Max's VF-1A from the TV series...but that's for a different thread. Damn stream of consciousness...
  9. Thanks, SaveRobotech! That is good news, indeed.
  10. The fingers are very well articulated, and actually quite tight. Very poseable. However, they are actually a bit on the long-ish side, proportionally. From that angle, it's difficult to tell...
  11. Yea, all the Mospeada toys my brothers and I saved up for back in the 80's were all in Robotech packaging. I think the original Japanese box art and design was herds better.
  12. Thanks, Jenius. That was fast! And the Gakken Singapore Mospeada toys were intended for sale just in Singapore (that's a tiny market), or for Southeast Asia as a region? Greater China? All pan-Asia, ex-Japan? Just curious, is all...The packaging is still clearly labelled "Mospeada." Wondering what the significance of adding "The Henshin Robo" is...
  13. All this recent talk about Mospeada has rekindled my interest in the vintage Gakkens. Quick question: "The Henshin Robo." What is it? Were these repackaged by Gakken for sale outside of Japan? For some reason, my memory is telling me that these were manufactured by Gakken Singapore? If someone could shed some light, I would be much obliged. Thanks!
  14. I know it's tantamount to blasphemy round these parts, but I still maintain that the Toynami MPC (although unbearably hideous in fighter and battroid) has the best Gerwalk mode down by far. The A-stance is solid and dynamic.
  15. Actually, what I'm saying is that your display looks fine as is! You've got all three modes represented. Enjoy!

  17. Was just going to say the same thing. The way you've set it up, there's no reason to decide. Unless you're looking to have all your valks displayed in the same mode, I think your display looks great!
  18. Ok, even MORE reason to go with the Toys 'R Us exclusive then. Much better color (no peach valks, please) and no unsightly AND useless holes in the backs of the legs. Richyx, just check to see if the holes are there to identify which version you have. And, of course, if you have the packaging still, the TRU version will have a gold star labeling the toy as a Toys 'R Us Japan 10th Anniversary Exclusive. As for the number of cannon fodders, if you look at the list carefully, there are TWO VF-1A cannon fodders from the original Macross TV series and film, circa 1983-1984. The THIRD cannon fodder you see listed is a VF-0A...and that's from Macross Zero, an OVA prequel to the origial Macross series that was released just a few years ago. This guy is a completely new design, and is grey, not brown. Pics here: http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/toys/vf-0a/vf-0a.htm As for the VF-1J Hikaru with GBP-1S, yes, it is packaged in battroid mode. The only Yamato VF-1 not packaged in fighter mode, in fact. Pics here: http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/product...amp;mode=retail Hope that clears up the confusion. Actually, as a reference, BBTS has every single current and expected Yamato 1/60 Macross toy listed here with pics, minus the aforementioned TRU Japan exclusive Cannon Fodder and the upcoming SV-51 Ivanonv from Macross Zero. The toys are not listed in any kind of order, and you'll have to ignore the non 1/60 toys listed, but it's a near complete list: http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/menu.as...p;category=1279 Now you know what you're looking for. Good luck!
  19. If it helps, I found that: 1) If you have the VF-1S Roy with Strike parts, you don't need the earlier VF-1S Roy 2) You only need either the Toys 'R Us Limited Edition VF-1A Cannon Fodder, or the regular one. I prefer the former, as the latter's "brown" color is a lighter, more peach-looking shade. Also, it has unsightly holes in the backs of the legs that were supposed to accomodate a FAST-Pack upgrade kit that was, unfortunately, never released. I guess you could always take the packs off your VF-1J Hikaru or VF-1S Roy and put them on your Cannon Fodder...
  20. Which mode do YOU prefer? What else matters?
  21. That's, what, over $2000 worth of valks right there?
  22. Hey, don't worry about me haha. I am happy with my 1/55's and 1/100's. As for the pieces I am actively looking for, you already have them. Except for the 1/55 GBP-1S. But with all the other stuff I need to hunt, the armor set's not too top-of-mind.
