Thats what I was thiking. I would be pissed if I paid $500 shipped and 4 months later they started going for $250 without any changes in packaging, shot glass etc.

I want one of these bad. I have every other 48 made and I am a Foker freak. But $500 is too much right now. I am betting the price will go down.

It's a custom painted Voyager class Prime I got off of feBay. I have since sold it and had the same artist do a Leader Class Prime for me.

Wow! I could only have hoped it would look this good......it's amazing! Everything I wanted. When I started collecting Macross toys the first thing that I thought was that it would be cool to mix my favorite livery with my favorite fighter. I am so happy with it I can't put it into words. I can't wait to get it back and get it up on the shelf with the fleet of 19's I have here.

Anyone know how long it takes LAF Toys to get theirs in? I get most of my stuff of eBay sellers but I want to support LAF and I think I am going to wait till they get theirs in stock.

Thaks for all the pics and stuff guys. I am kida liking the Roy, and I didn't thik it would look that good. I may just go that way. I have three Roy's, oe in each mode. I could sacrifice the one I have set up in gerwalk. But the I would have extra Fast Packs. Maybe I will just keep my eye out for somethig used.

What series is the Supernova Paint job from?

I only have one more 1/48 to get and I have them all. I need to get the Urban Camo GBP armor which is no big deal. But I can’t figure out what Valk to display it on. My first choice would be a Low Vis 1, but I am leaving ad displaying the one I have in it’s box and I don’t want to buy another just to cover it up with armor for $350-$400. My secod choice would be a Stealth but those are getting pricy and hardish to find.

Anyone have a suggestion on what Valk would look good with the Urban GBP armor on it? Hopefuly something that is not terribly popular and therefore not on the high side of the price range.

One thing to remember with regard to constructive criticisms is, this is a commissioned custom and thus built and painted to the paying member's tastes. So, tell it to sqidd.

That's awesome sqidd, after seeing the super nova customs I have been thinking about a Roy 19 as I love the 19 but the tan and black is just a little dull IMO. So I'm sold, time to do my first Yamato custom I think. I think a custom Roy 19 will fit in with my roy collection, what do ya think.

Yeah, looks like it's about time you add that 19 to your Roy collection. It almost seems naked without it, LOL.

What does the Supernova paint look like? I can't see it in my minds eye. That may be my next custom, everyone seems to like it.

I'm not really sure I want to let this go yet....

I sold off my 1/48 1A set earlier this year, and this one just seems out of place without the other 3. It looks good next to Roy and Hikaru though...perhaps I'll change my mind if there is no interest.

Anywho, it is a complete set and in excellent shape. I acquired it in a trade with Do not disturb.

I will post some pics tonight, and update the description with details.

Just got a reply from HLJ concerning the VF-1J with armor pack:

Yamato's upcoming 1/48 VF-1J Hikaru w/ Armor Parts (YMT00074) is a double pack set that consists of 1/48 Armor Parts for VF-1 Valkyrie

(YMT00040) and 1/48 VF-1J Hikaru (YMT00025)

Now, the interesting question is will it be a repeat of the TRU special with a (blue) box containing the original VF-1J and GBP boxes or a completely new packaging of the two toys together?

I thought this was a re-release of the Hikaru with the S&S parts. I'm glad it's not. It's about time that they offered these as a set. I hope the come in a special box too, that would be nice. I wish I could be more excited though, I already have one of these Anyone want to sell a special box if there is one?

I comissioned Jung to do a YF-19 Fokker for me based on his incredible work that can be seen in the customs gallery. I know it's not done yet but he sent me a picture of what it looks like so far and I am so excited I had to post it. All it needs now is some more shading and the waterslide decals and it will be ready to rock.

I have always wanted one of these. My favorite livery on my favorite valk. To me it doesn't get much better than this. The question is, what's next. I think I am going to get hooked on this custom thing!

Really hope this is a reissue of the 1/48 Super VF-1J Hikaru. Will definitely buy one of it is.

I think it would kind of suck if they did a straight re-issue with no changes. It kind of punishes the people who got it on the first go around. That is assuming it was supposed to be limited edition, which I don't know. If it was not supposed to be limited edition it doesn't matter.

Looks like a re-boxed version of the Matchbox one. Or the other way around to me.

My left Nora wing has a loose hinge, so it does affect display purposes. That is, if your going to display the wings plus ordnance and boosters in retracted wing mode. I'll get around to clear nail polishing it though..

A lot of it depends on how you put them on the stand too. I have mine sitting 45 deg from vertical and even my Ivanof with the loose wings doesn't droop.

Buying toys is one of the dumbest things I do, but every time I walk past my office and see them it puts a smile on my face. That makes it worth every penny.
