    Hi Blokes an Gals are we f’n excited YET?, ruskii here, I need to know who is bringing what -

    We need the following (to be displayed with their nemesis, like Matt’s YF-21 and his Max TV-1A etc) –

    1 x Millia Q-Rau

    1 x YF-19 (with fast packs if you got them)

    I have the FP’s for the 19 if we want to display them on it on the day.

    Not long now guys! Just hoping the cake will be ready, as you know the con was almost not going to go ahead, and cake funds were put towards ticket overhead (all the cancellations and lack there-of), but with my own donation in the form of Ryzui Variable (my own company) I’ve made it work. I haven’t come this far and worked so hard to let the con die off because of the low attendance. She’s good. Should be noted Ben Burns (Regent) is the real hero, although I begged for mercy! LOL Thanks a bloody billion BEN! ^______^

    Well only a couple of days out...rushing now to finish my main custom for the con, been a massive project to do to get it ready.......

    Are we all getting excited now or what!.....lol

    See all us modelers are keeping our models at "Top Secret" status which will make they day a lot more fun.

    Saw your cammo scheme on that Commanchero PeterB nice work looking awesome, hope it's making it's way to the con. :)

    And I'm very curious about your custom cowie, looking forward to seeing what you have done.

    We'll I'll be getting everything ready today and Friday to bring up, all my gear the prizes and give-aways so going to be a busy couple of days.

    Well one week out from the con and us guys on the board and the attendees who have paid are very disapointed in the turn out for this even. Matt has spent a lot of time and effort to bring this con to us, I have while Matts at work spent 24/7 emailing people putting up posters organising and planning as well as trying to build customs and get kits finished for others to show at the convention. Not to leave Shazam out who has also put in a lot of hours.

    We have been given great prizes and give aways for everybody which took a lot of time and effort on or sponsors behalf. This has been planned for over six months and still we are sitting on 10 people who are comming WTF, we even have some US members offering to prop up the con to help with the overheads that we could be left with and all because a lot of you Aussie fans are really quite p!ss poor.

    Fair enough that some members had to pull out due to loss of work, newborns and that's cool life comes first, but I beleave there is a lot more of you out there that just can't be bothered or think you may not fit in as maybe your not quite as full on a fan as some, but thats a pretty lame reason. Out of 22 seats to book out they should have all been filled months ago and yet we have 12 seats still to fill, not good IMO.

    This year will be the only 12 hour movie marathon so you will be missing a great 12 hours of Macross, Revoltechs give aways, momentoes, piss and more and this is all for $107.00 which is not that much when you consider what it costs to hire a theater. At this point I'd like to say thank you to all who are attending as some of you are comming from interstate, like PeterB and Sonic all the way from SA only 8 days from returning from his honeymoon (Big Congrats to Sonic and we hope he has a life time of Happiness). So it seems to put quite a few fans to shame.

    The con will go on with or with out the support of Aussie fans, and the fact that or US buddies are willing to help shows how slack you's (you know who you are) really are. So BIG BIG thanks to MacrossMan for his offer it is very generous and sadly due to the lack of Aussie support it may be needed.

    So come on Australia pull your head out you a$$ and get your self a seat an show your support for the effort that has been put in......as it's all for you the Fans........we can't do any more now it's all you! :angry:

    Good news!

    We are working with Overdrive and Kirin Hobby in regards to them getting exclusive Mac Aus Con 09’ Coverage which they

    will be providing photos and video of the con soon as we can post it to them! We are talking all the exclusive Mac Aus Con 09’ customs and events!

    Ok, the payment arangements will be organised this week so as soon as we hear from Ben I will post up the details.

    Prizes keep on arriving from our sponsors which will make for a great day, I took delivery from HLJ this morning with thier prizes, so thank you very much Hobby Link Japan for your contribution to or convention.

    Now it's all up to you the fans to make the con the best it can be. We have done as much as we can but we need your help to fill the final seats.

    At this point the Movie Marrathon will be a one off as future cons will most likly be held at a convention room like more traditional conventions.

    So Now it's up to you the fans to finish the job by attending. We have spent countless hours and a large amount of our own money to make this event happen, there is no profit for us and with out your attendence we could be hit with further costs. Which would be a shame due to the effort put in, the free give aways we have secured and the prizes that have been supplied.

    So come on Austalian Macross fans this is a chance for you to enjoy something truely amazing, meet new people that share your same interest and just have an all round great time. So please show your support, contact Matt on his email ( Listed in the above post) and book your seats.

    Wow wow wow, taken out of context there. I like the Revoltech figures. And I think that's very cool that someone is giving them out for free cause depending where you get them, they're not cheap. So the people who are going and getting one of these is a sweet ass deal.

    Those things are suppose to be like 15 dollars or something like that, and most places charge like 30+ bucks I paid like.......uuuhhhh 55 for two and was a lil astonished I even allowed that!

    But yeah they're cool items, got a lot of poseability to them and some good accessories so I'm not dogging them at all. I just had originally thought they were bigger, but I guess you could say they're more space savers lol.

    Thank you very much for the above post and clearing everything up, yes I may have taken the statement out of contexted but it is my job to make sure our sponsors are protected from negative statements. So I would like to say sorry to you Hikuro as I had no intention on bagging you, but just felt that the statement was not the best for this thread. No harm done and please don't feel that you can't post in the thread as we love to see the interest an support of fellow members. So IMO no harm done and please feel free to continue posting all I ask is just think about weather your post could be taken in bad context by our sponsors as we have worked very hard to get such sponsorship and hope that they will continue to sponsor us in the future. :)

    I'm getting ready, about to frantically start painting now. Are we ready to send money yet? Happy to pay upfront.

    Still tossing up whether I will fly or drive up. Probably be only for the Saturday, but still not sure at this stage.

    Payment arrangements are being made now, so we will be taling payments I would say next week. I beleave payments will be made direct to the Regent so we'll keep everybody posted.

    One of my VA's just told me you guys should take some of the VF-1 Revoltechs, spray paint them gold, and put them on oscar stands and hand 'em out to the cast for DYRL, I thought that was pretty funny and thought I'd share that.

    Either case, very cool that someone is gonna give out those things. I own one from a convention back last year, they're not bad, but pretty tiny sadly.

    WTF.....what the hell is this Sh#t, yeah hahaha, the first part may be a little funny but not much!.........But what the hell does "BUT PRETTY TINY SADLY" have to do with anything? This is an item supplied by a sponsor to the attendees for FREE and what does your opinion have to do with anything and is it even relevant? I'm sure there is a thread here about Revoltechs so go tell some there who cares that you think they're small.

    To Kirin Hobby we thank you very much for the Revoltechs you have so graciously provided for us, we are sorry that someone couldn't refrain from posting a stupid opinion which is not relevant to any part of our convention and who is not even an attendee.

    So to anybody, sure post what you think as long as it's to help the con, if you have an opinion like the above stupid statement then please we ask keep it to yourself as it doesn't help anyone or further our cause.

    Like to shout out a "VERY BIG THANK YOU!" to Kirin Hobby, a Revoltech for each ticket holder. What a bonus for all Saturday attendees!!

    This is only the beginning of the awesomeness that is Mac Aus Con 09. Mecha Studios Australia will also be supplying a memento for each Saturday ticket holder so you'll be taking home a Revoltech and the M.S.A memento just for starters.     MODELING CONTEST!!!! (THERE WILL BE TWO TYPES)

    1st will be custom paint jobs! (the obvious one)

    and 2nd will be custom model variable fighter! (which involves heavily modyfying an existing kit into something glorious!)

    1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes will be given. PetarB, WARPAINT22 and Cowie are already noted as competitors in the comps!

    This is going to be fantastic for all to see~! Violent Works of Art!

    These competitions and kits involved only apply to kits done by the masters, no commisioned pieces will be accepted if your not the artist, alls fair!

    Ok I cracked the box on my Glaug yesterday afternoon. Now, to keep my butt in gear to get this sucker finished in time.

    Matt what were the rules for the custom scheme again pls? Built OOB or are mods allowed?

    Mods are allowed for sure, full customs allowed ( can be just paint scheme or full mod to the model) and out of the box with just minor mods. All models will be able to be entered as long as they are your own work and not commisions.
