i saw the episode in youtube...nothing new...a mixture of all the previous macross saga finals...i like the non-M7 spiritia poo and the oldschool mecha pr0n...a truly macross 25º anniversary end... ...and definitely the next macross seres will not go back in time, and will be in a post-M7 timeline (M11 maybe?...)
