  1. Just when I thought Kairos and unicorns were going to be classified together as things of fiction I had a surprise at my door today. I only had to wait 370 days since I paid in full for this lovely bird. You ask what I did to get NY to ship this to me? It wasn’t the 3 friendly emails I sent to them, but rather the 4th expressing my frustration and demanding a full refund. Took a quick picture before heading off to dinner....enjoy.

  2. Wow!!! I placed my order on 10/14 and my order number is 391306 and I still have not received any sort of preparation notice but Funkymonkeyjava did. Man I was hoping that NY shipped these out in order of when the purchase was made. I need to email these people again and find out why this is happening.

    Looks lovely, Saburo.  :good:

Though my interest in this is starting to wane now. Oh well.

What a beautiful bird. I’m so glad I decided to buy this.

  4. How is this any different from the one they released over a year ago. Someone in marketing said let’s rehash this tool, slap the word Premium on the outside box, and charge twice as much. Do people really fall for this marketing ploy?

  5. Got the same email - just checked the price and lol'ed.

As a friend of mine used to say, "maybe it's time to sale mine".

Reminds me when the VF-4 was going for the same price and then Arcadia re-released it at $225. Just going to wait for the re-release :)

  6. I cant help but be worried that this beast will need to be plugged-in in order for the LED's to light up. I hope there is an option to install some watch size batteries so I can fly this thing around the house with its lights on :)

  7. Well I decided to use HLJ for the first time and here's the response I got back from them-

This is Mark Kutsugi at HobbyLink Japan. Thank you for your recent order for Bandai's BAN992012 DX Chogokin VF-19 Advance.

The stock status of that item was actually Order Stop when you placed your order. Unfortunately, a bug in our system allowed an order button to appear when that item's page was accessed through a "secure.hlj.com" URL. That bug has been corrected now.

Orders are filled in chronological order. The last of our stock of this fantastically popular item has been allocated now, and we regret to inform you that it unfortunately will not be possible to fill your order. You were not charged for it, and it has been cancelled.

We are very sorry about this situation. We appreciate your understanding, and hope to serve you in the future.

    Best Regards,

    Mark Kutsugi

    HobbyLink Japan

Has this ever happen to anyone else???

  8. Did they just forget the HUD in the D? Or is mine just missing?

Just looked at mine and I don't see one. Then I decided to watched the movie to see if one was present and it was. That sucks!!!

  9. Hi all,

So I have this Valk that I've had since I was a kid. I remember my grandad buying it for me in 1985. It seems to be some sort of a knockoff of a VF-1J. I can't seem to find any markings/dates/identification numbers on it. Any clues?

Holy Cow!!! I used to have one of those back in the 80's.

  10. It's most likely due to you placing your preorder in USD instead of Yen. The Yen has weaken recently and now it cost less in USD due to NY price being based on Yen. I don't think they will adjust it as you have selected to order it in USD and not Yen. If it was the reverse, NY won't be asking you to pay the higher price.

So next time I should place my order under yen and if the price drops they will adjust it... Okay, good to know. Thanks

  11. That's weird!!! I had pre-ordered my VF25S from NY back when it was going for $175.43 and now I get the email to pay up and the item is only $156.85. Will NY adjust it to the correct amount? I went ahead and sent them an email hoping they will honor the cheaper price.
