The way I understood it, was the VEFR was an offensive ECM platform, actively fighting the enemy with ECM weapons. The Elint was more passive in it's role like a AWACS in keeping comms and formations together. Kinda like one jamming the enemies missiles and radar while the other coordinates the attack.
BTW, the VEFR does have a head under the dish similar to the Elint, but can't do FAST packs. That probably means it could fly in atmosphere.
The VEFR is based from a VF-1A-J-S frame with a VF-1D nose, while the Elint is based from the Ostrich.
okie
getting interesting here, ECM platform? may i know what is that?(newbie here
)and in the DYRL movie, elintseeker only tells the enemy position rite? and misa hayase doing the coordinates attack, or misa only give coordinates to skull's team?? like to hikaru only...
if the elint's role is for formation attack, how many fighter under 1 elint's control?
and vefr-1 could fly in atmosphere, but without fast packs? means fast packas in for outer space?
one more, sorry for al the stupid questions, but i really want to know everything single detail here
vf-1d nose, means 2 seater?thanks guys

thats a good question, lets we hear whats the answer

my point of view is, maybe they want to save cost, thats why they build VE-1 base on VF-1 platform.
hand to hand combat maybe its not their speciality, atleast they can take someone gunpod or enemy's gun, and shoot them! if they're cornered. Cat's eye can't transform, and when cornered, they can't fight back and sure all shoot down. atleast ve-1, out of 10 cornered, 2 or 3 maybe still can't survive and come back, from cost point of view ve-1 far better.
and in fighter mode, elintseeker can't bring gunpod along, both of their hands carried sensors.
thats my point of view, a better explanation would be helpful

vefr-1 doesnt have a head, and they replace it with radome, so hows the pilot look/ see what happened outside?
elintseeker got a head, so they can look outside

and when you said, instead of hand, what it has is sensors...making it difficult to do this costum...anybody want to try this custom?
so when verf-1 in a battlefield, does it have escort?
-
done this before

but some of my friends hand is unfriendly, and its not good for the toys

but its a fun moment though...no beer at that time, under age, haha
-
elint? u mentioned about elint?
vefr-1 and ve-1 is the sama basic is it? only modified for different purpose is it?
-

i love the vf-4, but i'm not good in building up model kit or resin like this...

one day, one of you must sell me the finished model...

The 1/60 Elintseeker is purely a display piece. It's very play-unfriendly due to the unbalanced weight of the the boosters, radome, and inefficient transformation process of the 1/60 VF-1. Battroid mode is very wobbly and the only time I seem to be able to get it to stand up is when it's hunched-over because of all the added weight. The sculpt however is very very nice in fighter mode and battroid mode. My only gripe with the battroid sculpt is that the head is too small. Gerwalk mode is meh, the 1/60 VF-1 line never really got this mode.
It's not that expensive, usually selling for $70 - $80 so if you absolutely must have one then go right ahead. I highly doubt Yamato will reissue this one, and even if they do the current prices of $70 - $80 are still cheaper than the MSRP of $90.
good point of view there

i love macross because of all the valk's fighter mode, battroids only for those got strike cannon

so if i have one, buy one, should i glue it for fighter mode??
-
I don't like the 1/60 VF-1 series by Yamato, the VE and VT are no exceptions. Still, they look very nice in fighter mode... That's how I used to have them displayed... there big bandai brother's in battroid with the Yammy 1/60s in fighter in front of them.
wah, you have both bandai and yamato?
should i have yamato one??so there will be no more 1/60 series from yamato? or atleast will they re-run the ve-1 and vt-1??
-
Yeah, the 1/60 Elint and SuperO were the last 1/60 VF-1's to arrive and by the time they came out the first the 1/48's had already debuted.
and all the fans runaway to 1/48

but guys, do you play with your 1/60 elint, or just sit nicely in your display glass??
used to have vf-1a 1/60, and when i transforms a few times, the joins start to loosen and since that day i dont like and won't buy any yamato valk series...

i wast watching it 5 minutes before it ends, and i'm quite surprised with all the sniper that around,
when the timing left 30 sec, from $620.99 can jump up until $1026.75....wow!!
anyway price of the elintseeker is slightly cheaper now...another 2 or 3 auctions, i think it will go back to $800 fo MIB one, is it posible?

just want to share with fellow collectors here
-
wow!!!impressiivveeeeeeee
-
Same here.

Maybe we should start a Poor People's Macross Toy Collecting Support Group?
im in

-
guys, out of topic a bit, but who is big west?? is it another company that hold macross license???
-
ermmm, i thought strike valkyrie is famous or most wanted because of the armors???
think there are more and more people try to get it,those just started their collection, since bandai never re-issue them...stupid bandai!

-
I was surprised by that auction too. $1300+ for a dead mint Elintseeker is seriously stretching it, but with stickers applied? I think two people got into a bidding war and then it became personal.
But yes, the market for elints is better than it's been in the past 5 years. If you're seriously thinking about selling, now's the time to do it. I'm sure that guy who lost the $1300 auction is still looking for one

the problem is, if i sell mine...i scared i will lose it forever...i think i will just keep one until i heard bandai will reissue it and then i will sell it

but not much people will spend $1300 for it yha? maybe 1 or 2 only...i don't think there is anyone here willing to spend $1300 for it?
-
MISB and box is c9.8++++
congratulation
is sold to a true collectors
i believe you can get more than that actually
