  1. There's a great site call Alen Yen's ToyboxDX and it's got tons of info on collectible Japanese toys. There is a whole section dedicated to the Soul of Popynica and Soul of Chogokin toys here: http://www.toyboxdx.com/popy/popy_data/popy_index.htm Scroll to the bottom of the page and on the bottom right you will find a little surprise in the shape of a Super-O. Apparently, Bandai had originally planned to release the Macross valkyries under their Soul of Popynica line! If you look around through that site from the home page http://www.toyboxdx.com, somewhere there is also a huge glossary of terms specific to Japanese toys. EDIT: Here's the glossary page: http://www.toyboxdx.com/glossary.html And their definition for Gashapon: GASHAPON - Small toys found in round plastic capsules and sold through vending machines. Very similar to the vending machine trinkets found at western supermarkets, but of much, much higher quality. The name is an onomatopeia of the noise made by the vending machines: "gasha gasha."
  2. Yep, they are being re-issued and we've got them on preorder here: LINK From what I understand, they will have the improvements made to them.
  3. Sorry I saw this topic a little late. We are trying to start carrying some Gundam products, but that could take some time. At the moment we're trying to find out what products our supplier can get.
  4. Where is the "I made poo" option? Any proper poll would have that option.
  5. Awww, I still love my 1/55 chunky monkeys. No other valk to date has such awesome spring loaded landing gear that can break off a finger or two if you're not careful Other unique things I love about the 1/55's is the excellent quality of the plastic, the superb paint job, and the fact that all the markings are painted on, down to the tiny text that's actually legible. No need to mess with stickers or decals. I guess not many people are talking about the 1/55's mainly because Bandai isn't doing anything with them. They have put no effort whatsoever into Macross as of late and there's nothing new Macross-related coming from them, whereas Yamato is churning out Macross goodness at a dizzying pace and even re-issuing some 1/60 valks.
  6. Another vote for titles. I say let us have titles after 500 (legitimate, non-spam) posts, please.
  7. Yeah, this just baffles me. When a manufacturer puts out a product and it appears to have some flaws, everyone complains that they should release an improved version. And when they do, everyone complains why they did it. Hmm, I don't get it. I guess the simple solution is what estacado06479 pointed out. If you don't want the re-issue, pretend it doesn't exist and don't buy it! Many people missed out on the first batch of these and are more than glad that they are re-releasing them.

    MAX TV VF-1A

Looks great! That's my favorite Max color schemes.

    Your Valks

Wow, those are some awesome pics! I love that one of Max in battroid mode with the dual gunpods. Sa-weeet!

    Your Valks

Yep, we will be getting the ones with the round base in stock. But the one with the round base will come either with 2-1/2" or 4" rods. It would be unstable with the 6" rods.
  11. Hey, thanks VF-1S Hikaru should arrive around October and the 1/48 VF-1J w/fast packs around November. Can't wait!
  12. No worries there; I can wait for someone to get the 1/48 Hikaru v2.0 and confirm. If the 1/48 Hikaru has the upgrades then the 1/48 Focker would have too. But IIRC, the backpack hinge is still the same design (and hence with the same vulnerability). And no guarantees on the crooked skull either.. I guess we would need to gamble a bit there. Yeah, the backpack hinge would still be the same. I wish they had included that piece that comes with the FAST packs along with the 1/48 valks themselves. That piece keeps the backpacks firmly in place and also fills that gap behind the valks head. Well, this just means that you'll have to get a set of fast packs for all of your valks
  13. From what I've heard, the new-releases will be using the new molds and will incorporate the design updates.
  14. I don't have any info about the packaging yet. I hope they do include a version number so that we can tell them apart.
  15. Awww, I believe ya... well, now I do
  16. LOL. Whew, I thought I was losing it for a minute there. I don't have my Hikaru handy, but I believe you're correct that it didn't have the collapsible gunpod.
  17. Hmm, but I believe the Strike VF-1S was released way before the Super M&Ms. I just looked at both my Max and Millia super VF-1Js and they both have the collapsible gunpods. In fact, even the picture of the battroid on the side of the box clearly shows the gunpod to be collapsible.
  18. Ahh, and here be the pre-order for it: Yamato 1/48 VF-1A Hikaru re-release Preorder I think this re-relase will also include the improvements that were made in the 1/48 Max and the low vis. I haven't confirmed this part yet, but it would make sense that they would use the new molds.
  19. OK folks, on the Yamato frontier, it looks like the 1/48 VF-1A is making a comeback. I have confirmed that Yamato is re-releasing this one as well. They are due to be releassed overseas around November 30th, just in time for the Holiday Season. The pre-orders for these are up on our site as well. Looks like Yamato is going crazy with the re-releases. So far we've confirmed: - 1/60 VF-1S Strike - 1/60 Super VF-1J Max - 1/60 Super VF-1J Millia - 1/48 VF-1S Roy - 1/48 VF-1A Hikaru I am still hoping that they will re-release the Super VF-1J Hikaru. * keeps fingers crossed * Best Regards, Tamim
  20. I just looked at my original Yamato Super VF-1J and it DOES have a collapsible gunpod. So I'm sure the new ones will have them also.
  21. No problem, glad to be of service What price range were you looking at? Please send me an email at service@tmpanime.com and I'll see if I can help.
  22. Well, non-EMS isn't much cheaper. Parcel Post is $32.75 and it takes about 10 days. But do you really want your 1/48 valkyrie to be shipped without insurance or a tracking number?!? I wouldn't recommend it. The cheapest method is surface parcel post which takes up to 6 weeks, and that's $21.50. Again it doesn't have insurance or a tracking number and I would not recommend it at all. And in case you're wondering, these are the exact shipping costs - we don't mark up shipping costs nor do we charge so-called handling fees.
  23. Umm, here I be And the link is http://www.tmpanime.com. BTW, EMS shipping to Australia for the 1/48 valk is $36.00. Best Regards, Tamim
