I think only the Yamato overseas version might have been released. The Toycom U.S. version definitely has not been released yet. I spoke with Toycom yesterday morning, and as Kev stated, they said that it will either be by end of December or early January. Hopefully we'll be getting them soon.

Well, Yamato cases are pretty terrible and their packaging is overall flimsy, so in most cases, we usually get about 10%-15% of items that get dents. In the case of the 1/48 valkyries, they come 4 to a case, with one winding up at each end of the case. These two usually get hit the worst, so in some cases, 50% of a case will have dents! Due to this reason we rate our products so that you know exactly what you will be getting. Standard or Sub-standard boxes are discounted accordingly and are clearly marked on our site.

Yep, as Draykov mentioned, Takatoys has stated that he is re-designing the original 1/48 sticker sheets to include 1J stickers!

Yeah, the CM'S figures sold out really quickly. There is also a series II of these figures due out around February 04.

Folks, please keep in mind that just because it was released overseas doesn't mean they'll magically teleport themselves to us!! It has to go through this process: Yamato Factory --> Overseas supplier --> shipment preparation --> Us --> charging cards for pre-orders --> Macross fans If the supplier is far from the factory, it takes a few days before they get their shipments. Then we have to prepare the shipments. Most shipments include multiple items so that we can get a decent shipping price. Sometimes we may have to wait a day or two so that other items are releases so that they can be shipped together. Then there is the waiting time for our shipment to arrive. Sometimes it can take just a few days for stuff sitting in customs. With all that said, a little delay in one step can sometimes cause a chain effect. So with that info out of the way, the official word that I've heard is that the VF-1S Roys, the VF-1A Hikarus and the VF-1J Hikarus are to be released overseas on November 22nd. So we should get them by around the end of November.

Man, if you guys think that's bad, let me tell you this one. Grab the box and take a look at the pic of the valk in battroid mode on the back. Now look at the color of the dot on his head. What color is it? Yep, RED! In fact, you ca see a yellow halo around it, as if they didn't quite fix it in PhotoShop. Now grab your valk and look at the head. What color is the dot. YELLOW! [sarcarsm]It's enough to give a Macross fan a heart attack![/sarcasm] BTW, glad you guys received'em!!

Yep, those are permanently fixed and can't be detached.

It IS you! But seriously, I just double checked it and it is NOT crooked. As TheLoneWolf stated, I just needed to push the backpack in a bit more. Hey, I did mention that the pics were taken at 3:00 AM! As for the new seat headrest, as I stated in my review, I'm not a big fan of it. It doesn't look realistic. I don't know what their logic for this was 'cause when you put the pilot in the valk, the head doesn't even touch the headrest. It looks like the headrest was made of ice cream and someone scooped a bit out of it.

I'm about 99.9% sure that the new focker 1s will have the new improvements. I think the box redesign would be a perfect way to tell them apart from the first release. I don't know if they're doing that though, but it would make sense.
