And that whiplash is taken care of by those nice, padded belts that pilots tend to wear at times.
And you also have to take intentions into effect. If it's a planned change, then the pilot will presumably kill spead so the change isn't that hard on man or machine. If it's an unplanned change... well, that's what those strappy things are for.

The reason I say that the transluency is the most Tron-esque bit, even though it's not in the show itself, is because it's a hint of the computer world of the setting.
Well, that, and it just plain looked cool
-
Will you be keeping the translucency you had from your first project? That was the one thing that screamed "TRON" to me.

It's not like the New Gen. animation is wholly correct in the first place
I'd stick with the line-art more than I would with what's seen in the actual animation.
-
Yeah, the Alpha's stand a measly 28' tall, when a VF-1 is almost 43' in battloid modes.
So yes, the models in the pictures are the same scale and appropriatly sized to each other.

The Robotech people simply saw a way to use something that most Macross fans turn their nose up at.
That "animation mistake" is considered to be just that by the majority of the Macross fanbase. RT decided that no, it wasn't an animation mistake, and have run with it to come up with a brand-new mecha.
Personally, I think that's better than trying to use the Recon vessel seen for a second and a half in Force of Arms, which is clearly a precursor to the Elintseeker design of DYRL. If RT had done that, Macross fans would've been up in arms over it, bashing away mindlessly about how unoriginal it all is and how they're only stealing the best parts.
So leave the YF-1R to RT canon and an animation mistake in Macross and call it even, eh?

I can't wait to see them update Devestator. Now THAT would be a heck of a toy!
I hope so but I doubt : the Constucticons would have to be sold seperatly and imagine the size of Devastator in 1/24 scale : Fortress Maximus would have to go home
Max Schmax.
Devistator was THE original giant toy. All other are mere... pretenders to the title.
-
Good stuff. I really like the pebbled effect of the paint. It looks fantastic on a space-mecha like the 2SS.
Now then, if I could only model half as well as you do...

The RM file worked just fine for me.
Unfortunatly, it seems the action is just like it was in Episode 2, complete with the jittery camera angles and hard-to-follow action.
Still, the CGI looks good, and I hold out hope that it'll be as good as it appears.

Waterworld wasn't that bad, actually. I rather enjoy it, although it's not worth the money paid to make it.
As for worst Sci-Fi movie? Not counting direct-to-video movies, I think the worst Sci-Fi flick would have to The Craft.

This trailer makes me afraid. Very afraid.

Oh, ow. Numbers, evil numbers.
GREAT results, though. I love the translucent effects. How long until we get a full-on vid clip of this stuff?

Orgun had a plot twist that, at the time, was brand-new and came RIGHT outta left field. The animation is decent, and I rather enjoyed the music.
It's one of the best animes I've seen.
-
I'd rather see Detonator Orgun as the mascot, though.
Gonna review Orgun for us, then?
And I liked the fight at the end in the first MD Geist. That one wasn't animated too horribly, and it was pretty cool.

Most people would prefer it if she were wearing the human resistances' mini-skirt.
Yes, that includes me.

However it works, it's done just that: gotten people interested in the game again.
-
Well, I didn't want to say it myself...
-
Anyway, don't be worried about what the whining, complaining "purists" might say.
If only we could apply that to EVERY fanbase, eh? Trekkies spring immediatly to mind...
-
No, you can't be a sith. Darksider, yes, but not Sith since there are only two at any given time, and right now, those two happen to be the Emperor and Darth Vader.
This game has never been about playing a Jedi. It's for all those other occupations that get dismissed whenever people have the chance at being a Force-user. If you want to play a Jedi, go for Outcast or Academy or any of a dozen other games.
Besides, being a Jedi is supposed to be a hard thing that only a few people ever actually attain. I'm glad Galaxies has kept that spirit, and even made it unhealthy to be a Jedi.

I'm told that a strangle hold around the neck and some zap-a-straps work wonderfully well

You know, there are those of us that don't like the books, but enjoy the movies greatly.
Given what little I've read of Fellowship, I'm extremely pleased with the changes made by Jackson.
-
Because this is MacrossWorld, and complaining about every little detail that doesn't fit the true fan's ideas of what things should be is the only thing that occurs in any regular basis here?
-
No matter what your reference, your work is absolutly amazing.
Even without the textures, I'd kill to be able to model like that
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
in Anime or Science Fiction

As a fan of the pen-and-paper D20 SW RPG game, I was a little apprehensive with how well those mechanics would translate over to a computer game.
I should've have even bothered worrying.
FANTASTIC is the only word that really comes to mind whenever I try to tell someone about the game. I really like the ability to pause the game in-combat and queue up the moves. I tell you, the hardest part for me to get used to was rushing into combat, and not immedially button-mashing to attack (like in Outcast or Academy). The lightsaber combat was everything that it should be, even far above Outcast/Academy.
I never once hit any bug in my XBox version. None. Well, the only bug I did hit was the one mentioned above: the game itself
I hope to see another SW game done this way. Nothing short of fantastic.
