  1. The issue is nested quotes. IPB already has a limitation on quotes (actually, it's a bug...). You cannot have more than 10 quotes in any given post, period.

This isn't an issue of can we limit quotes via software, it's can we enforce a policy of making people clean up their posts so that they stop filling their posts with quotes.

I'm guessing this is what the original poster wanted to stop:

    Quotes Suck!

    Yes

    No

    Yes...

The only solution is common sense. Most quoted posts have that little tiny button in the quote box called "snapback". Instead of quote after quote after quote, you could just quote the last individual and leave the snapback button in place. Again, the issue is common sense. This really isn't something we can enforce because it is a common sense issue. If you lack common sense, then perhaps you shouldn't be posting. <_<

This isn't a mod or admin issue. It's the users themselves who are abusing things. Posting large pics (i.e. greater than 1024x768 or 800x600, depending on your resolution); posting pics directly from other sites without attaching or hosting them yourself (i.e. bandwidth stealing); quoting large pieces of text with only a small reply, etc....Unless you want the mods to clamp down on this... ;):(

Here is a perfect example. In my previous post, all I wanted to do was reply in regards to the one single sentence.

In this, much more annoying reply, I quoted your entire post along with all of the quotes that you put in it only make a point about the same senetence.

Its the best I can do with this thread.

    Actually, I don't think it's that bad for a 6 year old. :(

  3. There's only two things I hate in this world: People who are intolerant of other people's cultures, and the Dutch.

    ... and Carnies... small hands.

Thank god I'm not the only one who got that. ;)

  4. I got the grey one, but the strange thing is that it's just grey. No special light up eyes for this version. Seemed like everyone thought it would be though.

Did they change their minds? Anyone with more info about this?

  5. Is the series any good? The designs look original.

I like the series, although I've only seen the first 8 eps so far. I far prefer it to Aquarion, the other series that Kawamori is involved with.

We already have a 5 page thread on the Eureka 7 anime and toys. You can read it here for people's views on the series.

    D'oh! Sorry! :(

  6. They are supposed to be sort of cheapy toys, just one step up from MSIA, not deluxe versions. But yes they are sorta sucky. Only buy them if you really love the mecha designs.

Oh I see. What size are they? I didn't get a really good sense of scale.

Bandai's Newest Mecha Action Figures: Eureka Seven

Three new tranformable mecha coming this winter...

Bandai has created three new mecha action figures based on the new PS2 video game and anime series Eureka Seven. The three mecha were designed by Shoji Kawamori, one of the most skilled mecha artists in the world whose past work includes the series Macross, Patlabor, Gundam, and Escaflowne.

The three figures in the Bandai Eureka Seven figure series include:

Each 8" figure will be tranformable from "robot mode" to "vehicle mode" and feature a wide variety of articulation.

Each Bandai Eureka Seven Action Figure will come packaged in an illustrated window box and retail for approx. $35.00 US.

What do you use to get such nice fonts/block lettering? It's a pain to do in Photoshop and I've been looking for a program that does it easily.

I like the mod to the main page logo. Is it too small to have the valk in there too?
