Was undusting my Gunpra and quickly posed these 2:

I finished these earlier this year... have not built anything Gundam-related in a long time

snipers! can never have enough snipers in your collection
those are AKO Conversion Kits right? -
it looks damn fine to me, the proportions look nice, and as Major Focker mentioned above, is more fitting armored grunt types. kinda like how the HG 1/144 RX-78 G30th version looked a lot better than the older HGUC version.
-
Ngee Khiong posted a link to a video called "30th Gundam Perfect Mission", featuring major Gundams from various Gundam series (UC/AU) serving as backup to... the RX-78-2's Core Fighter
But it's veeeerrryyy epic! Y'all gotta watch it!

Possibly a promotional material for a new series?

wow, 15 yrs for M-Plus!

hmmm... i last saw it about 3 months ago maybe?
but the very first time i saw it though was '99 i think, way back my college days, i had the impression that it was an "excitingly different" yet "comfortingly familiar" Macross. i had to save up for 2 whole months from whatever was left from my allowance just to get a hideously recorded VHS tape of it...
but i enjoyed every minute of it.

Is Jack McKinney included in that? They were good writers, but I feel sorry for them having to translate Carl Macek's ideas into something that works on a tight schedule.
well, I've mentioned it before in this thread already, the Jack McKinney duo turned the RT script into something... palateable, for me at least.

From what I can see, Tommy wants to erase all the stupid, contradictory crap that came out during the late 80's and the 90's from the Robotech universe, and one of the major bullet points of his plan seems to be to get away from the pseudo-magical protoculture envisioned by Macek, Luceno, and Daley.
That version of Protoculture (at least Luceno's and Daley's; I'm not so sure what else Macek was planning for it) makes sense, at least in the context of the story; after all, if Macross protoculture == Robotech Protoculture then wouldn't Big West all the more go after them and sue? And even then, Luceno and Daley introduced other power sources different from Protoculture, stating something like trying to move the RDF/REF from reliance on it, which is what you said seems to be Tommy's game plan now.
Of course they could omit any mention of protoculture altogether, problem solved on that one...
IMHO, the Del Rey novel versions's plot was a lot less convoluted than the plot from the various comics, spin-offs, sequels, and even Shadow Chronicles (wtf is up with the Haydonites there?). I wish it was the plot they worked on instead for the LAM or even Shadow Chronicles...

That Mospeada model display just brings back memories... Very good worksmanship and detailing on it too. What scale is the set if I may ask?
-
@CF18: thanks for the info
i may try them one time, or more like suggest it to my friends who are into PlaMo too and do the actual ordering (me no credit card, scared of debts, lol). ordering by bulk, most of the time we prefer Rainbow Ten since for most items they have nominally lower prices than HLJ, though sometimes when we see an item we REALLY like in HLJ and is on sale 70% or so of regular price then we go for the latter. as for the tracking number... there have been a few times that Rainbow Ten was able to provide us a SAL tracking number too, but yes, it's more the exception than the rule.

hwjapan.com currently list most of their gunpla at 30% off instead of their standard 20% off, cover almost everything from BB to PG. Only the hot new MG Exia remain at 20% off.
wow, big discounts indeed, and almost across the board for GunPla. how is the service for hwjapan.com? anyone had any bad experience with them?

It's not even going to be released for either the Robotech or Macross toy lines, but part of the "Robot Vinyl Collection." From other pictures I've seen, 01 is going to be both the original and black spray-painted versions of Voltron and 02 being the Battlepod "pending licensing approval." It could turn out to be a hodgepodge of anime toys featuring all the licenses the company has.
And that Stealth Veritech is still mislabeled as a Robotech item.
sounds like they're imitating Bandai's Robot Damashii line...

Didn't this answerer the whole conspiracy thing satisfactory enough?

nice, buzz aldrin showed 'em!

oh, i'll bet the conspiracy theorist will scream, "image was 'shopped!!"

-
awesome stuff man, detailing on that SDF-1 is uncanny

-
Speaking of stellar poses - either I did something wrong (again) or the leg armor limits leg mobility EVEN more...
But I can't believe that - I must have done something wrong... it was too close to midnight for me to be thinking clearly

Pete
ei pete, nope you probably put the parts right together, it's just that the Unicorn is really THAT limited in articulation in the leg department, ESPECIALLY with the armor parts on. check out Dalong's review of the Unicorn ==> http://dalong.net/review/mg/mg102/mg102_p.htm
-
unfortunately, this seems like a one-off project, look at the "PROJECT QUANTITY" as well as "LIMITED 1/1" in the pic below:

-

that's a big box...

From SRW Hotnews: Armored Messiah Valkyrie 1/72 boxarts

VF-25F Armored Messiah Valkyrie Alto Custom 1/72

VF-25S Armored Messiah Valkyrie Ozma Custom 1/72
-
Yeah, that's how they open. The Armored Messiah parts are sort of a homage to the Armored VF-1 parts - and them chest missile doors on the Armored VF-1 also open in the same way, albeit they are positioned lower so that they don't really block the VF-1 head when opened.
-
Oh, the Gold Frame "Limited". Basically your standard Red Frame with gold-plated parts... Well, aside from the Bazooka in the actual Astray Gold Frame kits, yes you are right, there are no other differences. Both are your standard Red Frame kit, with the Astray Gold Frame kit just getting an additional sprue for the Bazooka parts.
I feel for you dude.

Well, there's always MG Hi-Nu.
i was actually wishing that the HGUC version will be a lot better than it's MG counterpart... kinda like how the HGUC Nu addressed the issues that it's MG counterpart had. but from the images in the reviews HGUC Hi-Nu looks just like a miniature version of the MG. oh well, i'll stick to HGUC Nu for now.

it's a bit of disappointment, weapons molded in single color, only 2 out of 6 funnels actually work. i'm not too sold on the proportions as well..

Yeah, the GM Spartan does look better with the MG Nemo legs. For what it's worth, I didn't notice the gun was incomplete, as it gives off a high-tech shotgun-ish look
