My final party (barring any weird quirks of the final boss) will be either Light/Hope/Fang or Light/Van/Fang.
My final party was Fang/Light/Hope.
if i have time, i will try it again with van instead of hope.

oops, sorry, i was trying to figure out how to do the spoiler tags then got tied up with the kids.

Anyone close to finishing yet? I am stuck on
Orphan's third form and have not turned off my system yet because I don't want to go back to the last save point and fight Orphan's first two forms again and again.
Half the time, I can barely make it past the second.
never mind, I just had to be patient and keep healing.
and now I return to my regularly scheduled life...

another +1 for Valkyrie-Exchange!
Always a pleasure!

I think the original 60s are going to be hard to find. I think the last backwards compatible one that came out was the 80gb MGS bundle PS3s. That's the one I have and I've played PS2 and PS1 games on it. I was just playing IQ and MS: A New Dawn on it. Both look much better on an HDTV when playing with the PS3. My PS2 is hooked up to an HDTV by S-Video and the games just don't look right.

my gf gave me a samsung u5 for xmas cuz i needed a cheap mp3 player for the police car, and it's been working great.

my BMW isn't listed, my wife's Buick LaCrosse (2008) is, it has 14 other exact builds.
Let me check our old Buick and Oldsmobile...
cant find her old VIN, but my Oldsmobile had 7 other exact builds.
I will see if I can find my old Camaro vins and run them.

I think as long as you remember your username and password, you should be able to get your account info into the new hard drive.
i think maybe there is an option in the menus that let you copy all your data over.
wait, here is an article, you should have no problems
http://www.gamespot.com/features/6176090/index.html
now, my question is, since i never play PS1 or PS2 games on my PS3, should I get rid of my Metal Gear Solid edition PS3 (has 80gb HD and backwards compatibility for PS2 games) and just get a newer slim PS3?

I remember the old days if u complete Resident Evil 1,2,3(nt sure abt 3) under 2h30min u will get some sort of bonus, and no one was complaining about the length of the gameplay. I don't know, I remember playing ZOE2 for many hours before completing it for the first time.
I think in RE1 it was finish under 3 hours and get infinite rocket launcher. i think my best time without rocket launcher was just under 1:15. it was so sad that i could be at work and people would call me and say, I'm in the red hallway, I just killed the dogs that jumped through the window, what do I do next, and I could answer. Same with Tomb Raider 1.
oh to be young again...

after the clan war. victor is precentor martial of comstar, omi is dead, but had a son before she was murdered, katherine was given over to clan wolf for clan wolf's agreement not to attack, peter is running the lyran commonwealth, yvonne married tancred sandoval and is running the federated commonwealth. theodore is still in charge of the draconis combine, sun tzu still the cap confed, candace no longer rules the compact because sun tzu reabsorbed it. the fake tom marik still runs the free worlds league. word of blake holds terra.
then word of blake launches their jihad against everyone.
devlin stone pops up and fights word of blake forming the republic around terra. victor married isis and had some kids. victor found out he had a son with omi. yvonne and tancreds kid harrison runs the fed coms until he is accidentally killed by his messed up son jacob. can't remember who runs the other houses. the clans got mixed up a bit as well.
then something happens to alot of the hpgs bringing the dark age about.
i think that's where it is at at the moment. haven't really been keeping up with it.
any word on when mektek is releasing the games???? i really don't feel like digging through some boxes to pull out all the cds.
on that note, good night all. i should be sleeping

been playing ODST. You're not a Spartan, but it seems like I can move faster than a Spartan while carrying turrets. I wish I could still dual wield.

I think with USPS, to file an insurance claim, it has to have been scanned into their system. If all you have online is, electronically filed, the post office will claim that the item was never scanned into their system, so they are not responsible.
but sometimes, i do drop stuff off and it doesn't get scanned until it arrives at the destination city, so who knows.
also, i hate parcel post. if it's small, i'll do first class, if it's bigger, than it's priority or ups or fedex.
no parcel post or media mail for me.

I think I was using PSP Video or something when I had a PSP last year.
I think this is it:
not sure though.
I bought a PSP to play FFVII Crisis Core and sold it when I finished.
I think all I did was convert some SpongeBob videos for my kids.

well, I have the MGS edition of the PS3 from launch day (of MGS edition) and I have not once tried to play any PS2 games. I still have my PS2 and I haven't turned that on in a long time. I was tempted to trade in my MGS PS3 towards the PS3 slim, but I thought better of it since I don't play with the PS3 much. I don't even own any blu-ray discs. Right now, the PS3 is in my living room acting as the DVD player.
I was wondering about how the PS store games work. For example, I was tempted to d/l FF7 and play it on the PS3. Do the PS store games run on PS3s without BC?
Just wondering if it is worth it to keep my PS3 with the BC when the slim comes out. Hoping the slim runs cooler.

to the OP. How old are you? What are your circumstances that you are here begging for a free one? Most of us work hard to get the stuff we want.
If it was that easy, why don't I just do this:
everyone, pleazzzzz, i need it, so everyone that reads this, PLSSS paypal me $1.
thanks.

once upon a time I miised a boxed 1/55 vt and boxed 1/55 ve for less than $500 on these very boards. I personally would recommend you getting the yammies... more banais for me.
Yeah... I'm back from the dead and agent's collection kicks my butt.. but I run pretty close.
and nobody pm me as I am still mostly dead and don't know when I will be back. Ecept for dragon, gain, and skull.
chowser still around?
welcome back from the dead.
to the OP: It's only worth what you are willing to pay. Last time I actually went shopping, I ran into a store with vintage Transformers and lo and behold, they had four MISB Jetfires. They wanted $650 for each. Nostalgia value aside, I said, nah. I could just buy a Yamato 1/48 and have someone custom paint me one and it would look better. If I really wanted to play with a 1/55, I would just go grab one of my reissues. Not too keen on the elint myself.

but with a non energy weapon equipped mech, doesn't the conventional stuff still generate some heat? albit not enough to shut the mech down, but what happens when you run out of ammo?
think i am going to dig out my MW3 discs and try to make a mech with no energy weapons and see what happens. i think MW3 was the game where it didn't matter where you put anything as long as you had the required number of open slots.
or i can try it in MW4 and just not use the energy weapons...

Kerensky and his followers left and traveled for awhile. Eventually, they found planets to settle and then became just like the Inner Sphere, warring with each other. Eventually, Kerensky's son, Nicholas rearranged them all into the clans.
There's got to be a synopsis somewhere on the web....
found it
History
After months of deliberation, Aleksandr convened most of the Star League forces still loyal to him (over 80%) and departed the Inner Sphere. After years of traveling, the massive flotilla of Star League refugees came upon five marginally habitable worlds, the so-called Pentagon Worlds (due to their near-pentametric relation to each other). There Kerensky's followers tried to forge life as they knew it once again, and for a time it seemed the Star League would still exist, far away from Terra, although this was not to be. Within a year, cracks were beginning to form along faction lines and soon the Pentagon Worlds were at war: an eerie parallel to the carnage unfolding concurrently in the Inner Sphere, a conflict now known as the First Succession War. At this, Kerensky prepared to gather the precious few troops still loyal to him, when he suffered a massive heart attack and as his dying wish, Kerensky left the reigns of the Exile Star League in the hands of his son, Nicholas. Kerensky's son took 800 of his best warriors and 600 civilian families away to a planet known as Strana Mechty ("land of dreams" in Russian) where he forged a new order. This order was known as the Clans. Those who possessed exceptional military skill became the breeding stock of what would become a hereditary ruling class. They embodied the pinnacle of combat prowess, and were put through a variety of competitive and selective processes with each generation to produce virtual super-soldiers. They were charged to protect the weak and powerless, but primarily to take back the Pentagon Worlds and, some day, the Inner Sphere where they, the Clans, would reinstate the glorious Star League.
In the beginning there were twenty clans, each with forty warriors. Over time, three clans were Absorbed (Clans Widowmaker, Mongoose, Burrock), two were Annihilated (Clans Wolverine and Smoke Jaguar), one was Abjured (Clan Nova Cat), another was split in two (Clan Wolf), and two eventually merged with Inner Sphere nations (Clans Ghost Bear and Snow Raven, respectively). Today, the Clans are almost wholly unrecognizable, compared to their forebears.
Though Clan history speaks of twenty Clans and the Eight Hundred Bloodnamed, Precentor Martial Anastasius Focht encountered information on board the Wolf Clan flag vessel, Dire Wolf that lead him to suspect the number may have been as low as six hundred or greater than eight hundred. It is possible that the practices of Reaving and the ilKhan's right to primogeniture were later attempts to retcon this information. It is also likely that the Annihilation of Clan Wolverine and Absorption of Clans Widowmaker and Mongoose altered the Bloodcount.

$150!! Ouch, even discounted, it's like $130. Anyone know what brand the goggles are? If they are decent, I might pick it up, if not, game only for me.

Actually what the heck happened during the "Dark Age"? I read/owned all the BT novels up to when the Star League was reborn, Candace settled her feud with Romano, Victor was ComStar, Grey Death was destroyed and that's it. Didn't read the Mechwarrior books or the Dark Ages or anything afterwards.
Eventually, Word of Blake launched their Jihad and brought war to the IS. Devlin Stone ended up beating the Blakists and established the Republic of the Sphere. Basically using Terra as the center and expanding outwards. Stone got rid of most mechs and forced his rule on alot of people when establishing his Sphere. They had peace for awhile until some mysterious force took out alot of the HPGs launching everyone into the Dark Ages. Victor ends up getting assasinated (he was old anyway), and so far I haven't really read much of the dark ages novel to figure out what has been happening. Victor and Omi's son, Kitsune, is a Paladin of the Sphere. Victor and Isis' kids/grandkids help out. Kai Allard-Liao has been killed off. Katherine Steiner-Davion was given over to the Wolves (led by Vlad) during the end of the Fed civil war and she had her dna and Victor's dna combined into Alaric Wolf. Not sure what happened with Phelan and his Wolves. Yvonne and Tancred had a kid, Harrison, who was the First Prince of the Feds until his crazy son, Caleb killed him. I think Peter Steiner-Davion got dethroned by Adam Steiner, then put back on the throne, then something else happened. Don't remember who runs the Dracs or Mariks. I think Sun-Tzu's son runs the Caps now and he is crazy and ended up having a kid with his sister or something. The Wolves are now the Steel Wolves, assuming they merged with the Steel Vipers. The Ghost Bears are still Ghost Bears. I think the Nova Cats still part of the Dracs. I think the Jade Falcons are still around. No idea what has become of the Kell Hounds or Wolf's Dragoons.
that's about all I can remember off the top of my head.
I hope I got it right.

When I was watching the resent episode of torchwood on BBC America
When Capitan Jack landed in England a hundred years ago and discovered he cant die, and worked for torchwood he found out that he would have to wait a hundred years to find the Doctor why did he forget that He himself was in England in 1940 during the Blitz when he First met the Doctor and Rose why did he not try to stop the hole thing from starting if he wanted to die.
don't read if you don't want to get spoiled for the season that just ended.
I don't think Jack wanted to mess with the timeline too much. in a future episode, he also ends up in the past because of his brother and when torchwood people found him, he asked them to freeze him until the time is right

I'd always assumed from the novels and game info that Jamie Wolf and the Dragoons were kinda the eyes and ears for the clans in the inner sphere. It was kinda conveinent that the Dragoons were not to far away, when the clans jumped in system for the first time.
Yeah, the Dragoons picked up a bunch of old Star League era mechs from caches on their way into the IS, but they were surprised that their mechs were still more advanced than the rest of the IS who let their tech knowledge get lost. They guarded their mechs and resupplied when needed. after the fourth succession war, the dragoons were ordered to cease all contact with the clans and prepare the IS for a clan invasion.
The new game takes place in 3015. The Dragoons came in 3005. In 3015 they were working for the free worlds league during the marik civil war, so they could be mentioned about in the game. after that they went to work for house steiner, so i don't see them getting close to deshlar in 3015 since it's right next to house kurita.
either way, i'm happy to have a new mechwarrior game to play. now i need to find my cable to hook the pc up to the big screen again.

I'm ok with just the name Mechwarrior. Now, we're in 3015 on Deshler. I'm kinda glad they are limiting the variants and making it harder to make my own variant. It makes you make do with what you get. Given the timeline, it's harder to get mech parts, mechs were passed on, etc. I don't think most people are going to be thinking about Activision's Mechwarrior from 1989 when people mention mechwarrior today. Most gamers today are too young to remember back that far anyway.

No pulse lasers, I don't think the Inner Sphere had pulse lasers until after the Clans showed up.
I think I still have mechwarrior 1 on floppy somewhere. Oh where are you Gideon Braver. I doubt it will run on my system now. I think I tried to install it once on WinXp and the fights just moved so fast, it was over before I could do anything. I've got 2, 3, and 4 and all the expansions lying around here. Hopefully when MekTek.net releases the free version of 4, it'll work better with vista. I haven't tried to load any of the MW games on a vista machine yet.
I kinda preferred the MW4 mech building over the MW3 version since the MW3 version let me put anything I want anywhere on the mech. Pulse lasers in the legs??? I thought it was odd, but I did it anyway.
I wonder if my Battletech I and Battletech II would still work? I know I have those somewhere too, I just found the box and manual (old style copy protection, ha!) for it when I moved, but the discs are somewhere else.

After having a chance to shoot a suppressed P90 at an LE demo shoot, I would not pay to own the civilian legal version. The P90 is meant to be carried short.
