The Xbox 360 Thread Pro Edition
Chowser replied to Apollo Leader's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
That blows! What did they do all day yesterday then? ---- 1:11pm EST ok, anyone else having trouble with matchmaking in COD4? None of my friends online now are having problems with matchmaking. I can do private matches ok, but I cannot join any matchmaking things. xbox live says this: Status: Up and running. You may experience intermittent issues with matchmaking in Call of Duty 4. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. ---- does this affect only certain people???? i was able to play fine this morning. this sucks, i don't have to be in to work till 6pm and there are no kids in the house, guess i'm going back to the PS3 to play SW:TFU. -
Yeah, I didn't know if you wanted me to mention your name or not Steve (machinedfx) says he will do a run that is weathered and you should be able to get whatever color LED that is available. I'll probably stick with red.
-
His original price was $135 w/o blade or LED, $175 with 1W LED and blade. Sound would run you more than that depending on what soundboard you get, and if you get someone to install it would add a little more (an MW member is a lightsaber guru that does installs). I was originally going to just get it as a static prop, but since I have a spare soundcard, I'll have someone install it if it looks to be too hard for me (my soldering skills suck)
-
not sure if this should go here or in the Force Unleashed thread, but I'll put it here for now: machinedFX is making custom sabers of Galen Marek's lightsaber from the video game. This is the lightsaber Starkiller starts with. http://threads.rebelscum.com/showflat.php?...fpart=1#3381013 No sound at purchase, but you can purchase a soundboard and install it. these were the original prototype pics, he'll be updating soon.

they'd have to make it big enough for my asian head and make it a real motorcycle helmet and i'd buy one if price was reasonable
-
Looks nice and all, hopefully Yamato will make a 1/60 v2 of this. I can afford it now that I'm skipping the VF-25. I really think Yamato could sell enough of these to justify a regular run. I'm just not paying $500+ for this thing, my Kurt custom that I used to have was cheaper than that. Thankfully, I'm done with 1/48s...(for now)

Bandai 1/72 Scale Macross Frontier Plastic Models
Chowser replied to Graham's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
So from what I am reading, you have to paint the red/black areas on Alto's? Or does it come with a decal ala Hasegawa's YF-19 kit? I really don't want to paint anything since I suck at it. Guess I will wait until someone releases a fighter only model or toy or I'll commission someone to build a fighter only out of the model kit. -

maybe i'll buy the Alto from ya Dave. I've been waiting for someone to put out a fighter mode only model kit since it also looks like I'll be passing on the 1/60DX. I really just want to display it in fighter mode. I just wish someone would release a model kit in 1/60 scale. -
what???? where do you live? (duh, forgot to check your profile, but I don't know laws in Australia) what would they charge you with? my kids and I go out all the time with our lightsabers. I even do tameshigiri with my katana in the front yard. (then again, the local cops know me)
-
picked one up at radio shack for $30, gutted the sound card out and ended up giving all the rest away to neighborhood kids. that's about all i would use it for.
-
there is no VF-19A in 1/60 yet, you're thinking of the old 1/72 VF-19A blue one. I don't think anyone is going to let a 1/60 YF-19 go for $100 unless it's broken.

not a bad thing for me, I enjoy running around tossing people with the Force I just wish there was an M rating version so when you slice people, they fall apart in pieces. That was always a cool thing in JO2 and JA. I'd always set dismemberment to the highest setting and watch the limbs go flying! Now I am going to have to go dig up the old games and hope they're Vista compatible. Thanks for reminding me about it!
-
Just did the first two levels, it's ok, more of the same from JO2/JA. Nothing outstanding or spectacular, just more of the same. kinda sucks that i read the novel already and know what's coming.
-
If this game is somewhat like Jedi Academy, I'd probably like it too. I played JA and JOII a few times myself. I picked up Force Unleashed today, and am just waiting to get home to play.
-
Don't forget, when HLJ says shipped, it's shipped to the ship. The boat might not be full yet and is still waiting to leave the dock.
-
I think the MGS PS3 bundles were just rebadged Motorstorm bundles with the DS3 controller put in place of the sixaxis.
-
I still see some MGS PS3 bundles at Circuit City and Best Buy. My MGS/PS3 bundle is backwards compatible.
-
ok Yamato, what hoops do people have to go through to get this one? I didn't bother trying to get the 1S weathered, 1A Max, I did pick up an original Low-Vis in Toronto for Godzilla, but those weren't super secret limited editions. I'm not even going to try, they should just release these in lower qty's and make more if they need it if they really need the influx of cash from mold milking.

95% women? Good luck with that! Glock armorer's school is one 8-hr day and it's real simple. One of the other guys can probably just show you how it's done in an hour or so and tell you what to look for. Range Instructor school is fun, don't know what the difference is between HI and OH, but my range school was two weeks. 1 week semi-auto pistol 3 days shotgun 2 days revolver Patrol/Rifle Carbine instructor was 1 week. Hopefully they'll give you the time you need to do the stuff and they'll pay you accordingly. I'm doing a bunch of stuff (range, crash recon, BAC, OVI checkpoint, recruiter, computer, FTO, resident gun nut, body armor, etc. etc) and the only thing I get paid extra for is field training. Sucks to be the departmental Asian. Be safe!

Congrats! Make sure to send two or three people to Glock Armorer's school. It's always nice to have someone available in the RARE event something breaks. Lucky you, our sgt.'s still work the road.

The All Things Video Games Thread!
Chowser replied to Apollo Leader's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
That's all I've been playing until Star Wars comes out on the 16th. I'm going to try to get back to level 55 before SW:TFU comes out. Sarge051 is my GT on Xbox Live. I don't have a copy of COD4 for the PS3 yet. -
another +1 for Godzilla for some fast shipping!

Contrary to many internet hoaxes, Gemma Atkinson is not related to Rowan Atkinson. back on topic: Hey D, I'm probably only going to pick up Ozma w/o anything at first and if Alto comes out with Super Parts, I'd be willing to split with you again I'll take the valk, you can have the armor. I'm not really into displaying my valks with armor. None of my VF-1s have it anymore and I ended up taking them off my YF-19 and YF-21. Trying to slow down my collecting here, family priorities are taking over. (dang kids...) I plan on only getting the first VF-25 released and then taking a break.

haha, another debate I'm having with myself. Should I buy a Glock 33 (.357 SIG) or a Glock 30SF (.45ACP) as my new off-duty gun????? Make note: 1) Ammo is free for me so that is not an issue 2) My current issue gun is a Glock 31 (.357 SIG) and my back-up is a Glock 32 (.357 SIG) 3) I'm sure all my holsters for my Glock 32 will fit the Glock 33. I just want something that conceals better than the 32 for off-duty use.
