  1. Or....Botcon Bluestreak and Botcon Smokescreen....
  2. I saw no Joker goons. That could be a very good thing.
  3. 4 months later......my HD dvds from the free offer August promotion arrive, and somehow I really don't care.....
  4. It's a good time to be a Transformers fan, no doubt. However, it's probably a terrible time to be a kid with Transformers on your Christmas list this year. I just went through a couple toy aisles in a couple different stores, and there's really nothing there.
  5. I really hope 12 year old boys don't have an ass like Grace Park's.
  6. I just want something that isn't going to tower over the Legioss/MPC Alpha I have it next to.
  7. I'm not sure how many were made. I remember the one ebay auction description I read saying that it was available only as a kit at one convention in Japan, so I'd imagine that'd be anywhere from a couple hundred to maybe a thousand max. I think that auction was at about $200 when I stopped paying attention to it. The Titanium Scourge turned out very nice, imo. He really needs a counterpart. Heck, there's even Quintessons of every type coming out(see here). And with a Galvatron coming out, we need a Cyclonus so we can recreate the scene where Cyclonus and Scourge trick Galvatron into psychotherapy on psychotherapy planet.
  8. Trying to catch up on this. Out of the upcoming ones, the CMS one is the smallest scale then? A smaller scale version is a selling point for me.
  9. I was really hoping he'd be one of the ones chosen for a Classics upgrade. The G1 toy does not do the cartoon model justice. Only way I'd be willing to buy/own that mold was if a KO company made a WST scale figure of it. It'd be easier to forgive how off it looks if it were really small. There's always the Jizaitoys custom here, but it's in short supply and goes for a pretty penny. Someone at HasbroTakaraTomy really needs to hire that guy. At least they're promising to do Galvatron in the upcoming Classics line.
  10. The one time I hosted, I rotated through all kinds of settings. I found that a lot of people hate it when you limit the jets they can choose as they'd come in and immediately leave, or stay until I set it to level 1 or level 2 jets. Although I had a few people like me who liked rotating through different scenarios, and who I'd rather play with anyway. The one time I set it to attackers only. I was the only sucker, ahem, player to choose the A-10. It may be armed to the teeth, but it can't dodge a damn thing. I was murdalized. Vs some other A10s would be fun, but vs Tornados and an F117? It doesn't have a chance. The A10's certainly something best left for Siege and Co-op, imo.
  11. I swear I'm going to break the damn disc. I CAN NOT find him. Playing this mission over and over to get to the same damn point and NOT see him is making me very very angry. I'm circling and circling looking in the distance, shrinking and expanding my radar, taking my sweet old time taking out the engines to make sure he's not showing up during my taking a set of them out. Nothing. Nada. Zilch. Zero. Nil! Does he have fricking stealth or what the hell is going on? Edit: I finally found that #&^##&! I made sure to take out the fueling jumbo jets in the beginning before attacking the fleet, and he showed up right when he was supposed to. I was skipping those ships because the guide made no mention of them, and because they were behind me, unarmed, and flying away from the battle, which was time I could instead devote to taking out a cruiser.
  12. Were the hands on the Aoshima made of the same craptastic splitting cracking plastic that the Toynami had?
  13. Sometimes I'll just let a mission replay play just for that reason. Now onto these named aces business. I'm having trouble finding this guy: No. 21 - FENIKS, flies Su-33: This guy will be launched off of the Aigaion after you destroy the Aigaion’s last engine. You must also have taken out the Gyges and Kotas for him to appear. I never saw him launch off the Aigaion, and I was watching intently. I've taken all of the other craft except for the Aigaion. Where is he?
  14. I just noticed that the backwards compatibility list was updated. The date says November 2007, but this is the first I've seen/heard of it, and I know I was looking for a particular game a few weeks back. The Godzilla games are now supported!!! WAHOOOOOOO!!!! I can officially unload my xbox! http://www.xbox.com:80/en-US/games/backwar...tygameslist.htm
  15. I always yaw when attacking ground targets with unguided payload or guns. It makes landing much easier too. The reason I ask is because last night I was on the Aigagon mission on expert dogfighting with the Strigon forces(which are a bugger to nail with missiles) and it finally dawned on me that I could yaw while doing this. I don't know why, I just never thought of doing it outside of the above scenarios. I was wondering if this is the difference between a 6,000pts player and a 10,000pts+ player. I need to play and experiment with this much more.
  16. Do you guys yaw whenever you're in a circular dog fight? I'm thinking this is something I'm not doing and should, or should I? Someone on gamefaqs posted this, but not surprisingly didn't post a source: "Ace of Aces" mode is NOT unlocked with 1000GPs. Its DLC, releasing in December with 3 CO-OP levels, ten new multiplayer-only maps and 5 Campaign missions. It is very much like the Gauntlet from Ace Combat Zero, where you're Squadron goes head-to-head with various squadrons from previous games. The levels for this mode are the same as the single-player Campaign missions, except they're re-rendered to add a landing zone in the map.
  17. I'm crossing my fingers that that leader Megatron actually comes out in metallic colors. The only thing close to the movie model is the Best Buy exclusive, and that has metal "ice" all over it, which really ruins the otherwise great paint scheme. The ice was a bad idea from square one, imo. I can't look at any colored version of that voyager figure without thinking how much better it would look if the ice weren't there. Robovision Prime looks awesome with the silver details, much better than the official deco, so I'd be up for a leader class Prime with that silver paint and a movie-accurate sword instead of gun. Not quite seeing the hullaballoo on the others, or enough changes to warrant buying them again.
  18. I was about to ask you about that. I knew they supposedly shipped on the 25th, but didn't really believe that they would. They did a pretty good job of making me apathetic about it now.
  19. No. 13 - PEGAS, flies F-22: Mission 1; Destroy all indicated TGTs as fast as possible, within a couple minutes tops. Watch near the airfield for some F/A-18s to appear, then shoot them down. Soon after this, a flight of Rafales will appear high above the airfield, along with Pegas at about 25,000 - 30,000 feet. Ok, what's the deal here. I do that, but I still can't find him!
  20. Smarter move would have been to do Galvatron, but that's partly just me being selfish......
  21. Lots of ebay auctions with 1 to 3 days left. All items were adult owned in a smoke free home. 22. There's an update out to download, but I have no idea what it fixes/does.
  23. Bot mode's the weakest part, just like all the other SWTFs. It does have decent articulation in both modes. Bot mode arms have all the essential joints, the bot head only turns from side to side. There's a waist swivel, but due to the way the parts fold up in back, it's difficult to use. Legs are the back legs from the At-At, but the legs are connected to the torso by a ball joint as are the feet to the ankles. So it has good articulation. The bot mode's major weakness are the legs because there's no transformation involved. If they would have at least made it so three of the four toes were retractable so there was a discernable foot "front", I think it would have helped quite a bit. As for the Luke X-wing, if you don't like the vehicle mode, there's little to recommend because, like all SWTF's, that's the best part of the figure. It's all downhill after that, and even before that, the vehicle mode has issues(poor weapon storage, no fixed "setting" for the foils to go to X mode). I like it because I like the line gimmick(small "accurate enough for me" vehicle modes, it transforms with pilot seats in both modes), but even with my bias there's no denying that it has problems. The arm articulation pretty much stinks because his shoulders are fixed in place. The ankles are going to be a problem in the future, they're pretty thin for the amount of stress you need to put on them, and I suspect we'll see plenty of broken ankle Luke's in future ebay auction lots. The snowspeeder's a far better Luke figure because of how solid it is in both modes, although it does have a huge backpack, but the more I play with it, the more I suspect this was intended as a Wedge Antilles or generic rebel figure due to the head sculpt and that the lightsaber seemed to be just thrown in as there's no storage for it and the instructions don't mention it.
  24. I found the other new SWTF's today, the AT-AT and the Snowspeeder. I was picking these up regardless because I like the line, especially for the original trilogy figures. All of the AT-AT pictures that have been shown to date show the head flush with the body. Even the figure in package and advertised on the package show it this way. So I get it home, pull on the head just to see, and lo and behold, it does have a neck, and some articulation there to boot. I have no idea why it's not shown this way elsewhere.
  25. Something I wondered about while watching Razor, and not sure it's been touched on before in the series, but the hybrid in that episode was pretty aged. Is aging something the initial five can do?
