Why not design a base from scratch and have it 3D printed? You could get a better looking base to your exact specifications, you could get as many as you want, it probably wouldn't cost much more than if someone were to sell you those parts and most importantly it can actually happen.

That would be stupid simple to design.

That is a route I can consider, I have a friend with a 3D printer, but I'm just worried that it wont turn out as well.

hmmm...if only I could afford to do that (the figure it comes with is like a deluxe thing, so pretty spensive)

I am still looking for a place or a way to get the pieces that clip on around the Riobot base to make it the larger one (like in the image)

Anyone know where/how I could get or if someone willing to part with the extra pieces if they are not using them on another figure or something

thats really cool! and I appreciate the effort that went into it.
my only comment (coming from a professional 3D animator standpoint) some of your animations need tightening up and a bit more snap to them.

OMG it was a big hot mess of 'how in the heck do I move this to be over there' and 'there to here'.
Couldn't remember what position/slot the legs needed to be in for a tight compact fighter mode (I guessed wrong)
Now it is back in fighter mode, one side is a little bit droopier than the other(wings). The slightest touch and the arms disengage from their little slots.

I enjoy the sculpt, but I sure wish they could dial back the transformation complexity a bit.
Or just make the toy larger, as the pieces are so damn small. That could help a little when trying to figure out what goes where. This thing should not be 1/48 scale, in my opinion.
Wonder if anything will be improved on the next version.

 

they should have made it large enough to fit both the Riobot  Ride armour and the figure as the Pilot

Heya all, I'm looking to try and get the larger display base parts for the Riobot/sentinel bases (so the 4 pieces that clip in around the base that comes with the Ride armour) does anyone know where I could get or who I could buy them off of?

He’s poking fun at US English, but the UK phonetics should be written kaa-key and not car-key. The “f” for veldt is not unheard of, just uncommon (unless you’ve been to South Africa).

I wish Sentinel didn't change their square base design for this Legioss. For the longest time, they have been using this other somewhat modular base for many of their figures. The smaller base with the transparent plastic layer on the surface was used for their smaller figures (like the Ride Armors), but for larger figures, it came with additional, matt black connector pieces to expand the base into a bigger size.

Now, the base with this Legioss is similarly sized to the old expanded base, but simplified into a 1-piece design. However, the shiny and almost featureless surface reminds me of lids of boxes from dollar stores.

 

I wish they included the larger base pieces for the Ride armors...
going to try and make a 3D printed set and possibly a storage box to go underneath it.

and just for reference...

another thing they could try is have the boom in 2 parts that separate and fold backwards and then up (to under the "Shoulders/wings" area with a telescopic gimmick as well. or maybe telescope out of the knee area (or just to the inside of it) with a swivel mechanism that can joint the 2 halves together.

Im sure they will figure something genius out (if and when they make it)
