The spinning looks better in RL. It's surprisingly loud though.
So you already have it???
Pics or it didnt happen.
What I want to know which stand it comes with.. Mine didnt come in yet.
Thanks

Are you referring to this?
Part of an issue of Hobby Japan... It does look like a model kit, but I dont think it was released anywhere. Scratch build? Not sure.
THAT looks much better ....
And you guys prefer the skittles version??

This is a must get. Hopefully it comes in red instead of the pink

My in-laws are awesome, they bought them for me and I paid them back....They found it funny that I'm 35 and getting toys. Well my parents find it funny too....well more like shame....I
I understand.
My father. If he saw my man cave i think he would either kill me or kill himself and im 37

The CG ships in MacF often had their saturation and contrast reduced to imitate low-light conditions in deep space.
Looking at the picture the Anime version has the flight deck and battle cannon closer together, closing the gap between the two.
Look at the gun arm/cannon and flight deck and how close they are the the shoulders. It makes the battle-cruiser look sleeker and not just laying down with its arms spread out in front.
I cant see any white parts??? Also the baby blue areas on the toy seem more like dark chrome or gunmetal in color. IE the head. The baby blue strip in the center on the toy is actually dark gray in the CGI and the white strip after the blue one on the toy is actually light gray of gunmetal gray.

I know its not gunpla but its connected. I really hated the MG Unicorn. Poorly executed, It lacked the ability to pose. It was a floppy mess to transform. I have since then tossed it in the garbage. Goodbye 80 bucks. Should have never been an MG . That said my patience has been rewarded. THE GFFMC looks fantastic. Will wait further for Reviews before i get it

Lotsa pics of the Quarter (among other things) here:

And a video of it being transformed:
/waits for the litany of curses...
Like I said great Mold. A little floppy. Needs to be stiffer in ship mode. The colors are just puke. Not intimidating at all. What i found more interesting on the first link was the eva unit
I think bandai will release a recolor with the darker grey blue hue next year

it's not that hard to believe, taking over and securing a populated area requires a ton of man power and lots of resolve, far more than simply walking in and blowing poo up.
and its worked great in Afghanistan and Iraq
Blowing poo up is better

I don't have a set system, but if I were to describe it: I normally build / paint subcomponents (head, torso, etc) as they are assembled. After a test-fit, if I feel I'm ready to paint, then I start airbrushing .So yea, I guess I paint as I build.
The one thing I never do is paint straight on a runner, after you clip out the piece there will inevitably be missed spots, and touch-ups.... Some super-skilled people with really good masking skills can literally build the whole thing and paint it right on the spot. I have yet to achieve that skill level.
if the current color injection techniques why do you feel the need to paint it. Is it because flat paint is more acceptable to the eye?
Just wondering out of curiosity

Ummm...the shoulders are on backwards.
oops thanks

Just got this in today purchased from a board member right here
funny I used to hate the Rx-78 but ever since owing the Ver ka in GFFMC format. This PG is wonderful. I can appreciate the design of the original Hero Gundam. I like it more than my strike how odd is that. I read these were not supposed to be the original colors and even they scream "look im over here!" I think the producers made a good choice in the candy color mech.
Pete your missing out on this since you really like the Rx-78, this is cheap and has very nice detail. I guess (even tho i cant afford it at 800 bucks the 1/35 v.ka GFFMC) will not be something I will be missing.
I am going to detail (paint) the dummy core like in the manual after i finished detailing the recently built MGs and PG 00
enjoy
In tribute of the Dragon~

The elite-Zaku takes shape:

are you painting as your building?

Finished my Gundam Exia ignition mode and i love it to bits. I can't decide to leave him in normal or repair mode cuz they both look good.
Bandai could've gave extra parts to allow for an easy swap of the parts rather than to disassemble the head and shield to change the modes though. I might be crazy to buy a normal Exia so i can have both modes.

Sorry for bad photos...my camera is almost a decade old.

Great Posing....Um needs decals and panel lining

yes it comes with a stand (that large black plate) not only that, but the stand has two arms for mounting the Raiser and 00 separately if you don't want to combine them.
So why does dalong have a picture of a separate box with the duel stand. And I saw some websites selling the stand separately

Don't know if anyone has seen this photo, this the best clear shot that shows the color*and details) of the final product.

OMG that looks awful. Like a transformer you would find at walmart. The mold is nice and getting a SDF clone at that scale was so exciting now that paint scheme cheapens it so much and not worth the 200 plus price tag. Why??? I had scanned a pic of it from Dengeki Hobby and it wasn't colored like that. This is a deal breaker for me. Im cancelling my preorder with HLJ and decided to go ahead and buy the PG Red Astray
I dont want a cute skiddles SDF clone

dalong has pics up of the PG 00 leg assembly
all i can say is neat!

Well actually painting Gundams is pretty easy IMO. At least unless I'm totally mistaken - but the best method I've seen (aka easiest) is to spray paint the pieces while they are still on the sprues, since most sprues are uni-color (although more complex kits sometimes have multi-colored sprews).
But I just don't have the time to track down paint - spray or otherwise.... I would like to eventually do that, and also finally get around to building diaoramas for my mecha and stuff...
Pete
Well i know how to paint. I actually own a pricey Air Brush kit and compressor. But it is time consuming. Mixing Paints thinning and the whatnot. But there are some very good painters its not just a matter of painting over the piece with one color. It takes a certain amount of knowledge and talent to paint in various color themes and styles. Notice the blue hue in the PG Wing. That affect is difficult to get if you dont know what you are doing.
With the current color/mold injection technologies the modern MGs and PGs are very vibrant out of the box. I like to detail vs Paint, which actually takes some intelligence to do. In that regard here a few pictures of a couple of MGs I completed on friday and Sat.
I hated building the Rick Dom. THe inner frame for the legs and body are very good but the arms SUCK donkey balls. The placement of the peg and PVC polycap. And this gundam will need extensive detailing. (when i say detailing i mean painting pistons small parts intakes, boosters scopes, etc)
Nothing really wrong with Strike Noir. But it is a different build than the other seed frames. But I do love both the rick dom and Strike noir. Bandai does need to make a V2 for Rick Dom. Pete. If your reading this I know your a fan of the older gundam mecha. If you like the Rick dom I say wait for V2.
Now just waiting for the Goof and PG 0 Raiser. I have to finish these asap before my new Project picks up speed. So now onto decaling, detailing and panel lining.

It's kinda like a Deathscythe Hell Custom, but more ludicrously caped. And white.
Its definitely nice but it cant even cross its arms or do some of the crazy maneuvers seen in seed and 00

Unfortunately no...
Penerope:

although the gundam looks good its not practical
