  1. cool :-)

I am only going to by the first one of the series. They are too dam similar and knowing Yamato will charge an arm and leg plus a head for it for a piece of plastic that doesnt even transform. Heck I would prefer them from Revoltech

  2. Yeah, I always thought the officer pod was the coolest one of them all. Why o' why do I always like the mechs that no one wants to produce as a decent toy. Are we going to be mocked by only having the Matchbox one that is so out of proportion its ridiculous? Yet, I own 2 of the blasted toys! That goes to show how much I really like it. I wish I had modeling and painting skills, otherwise I would have built a nice model years ago.

There must be a way to write to revoltech for them to make on. I wouldnt want to buy a 1/60 Yammy tho but a rev. would be nice

    ALSO

Does anyone here know if Bandai will be making the Macross Quarter mac ????? That would look nice in my display case

  3. yes :) right now, I'm in the process of customizing my own live woman :D

I hope revoltech makes the commander zentradi pod. Man I always thought the thing was one mean looking mech!

  4. Ok Guys this is embarrassing

I am one of those guys that never reads the instructions cause I think I don't need them. Well Guess what!!! I DO! So I need your help.

I have managed to get the plane transformed from the robot mode in to the plane mode but i broke off a piece and I cant get the panels to stay

Can you help tell me what I did wrong and what that missing piece is from. I looked the plane over good and I just cant figure out where it popped off from

    I have attached pictures

    Thanks

  5. Definitely looks like the hands are removable and do not fold or retract inside the forearms.

Not surprising and half expected it really, given how skinny the forearms are.

    Graham

You could be right. I dont see any seams in the forearms to store the hands. If that is the case you really can call these DX

I have a load of DX SOC figures. Dancougar, Gunbuster, Aquarion, and Idion and they all can store the hands of course they come with extra hands.....

    :(

Too bad tho....they do look good but I will dish out the $$ to get them because they are one of a kind.

  6. Well I just got my Movie Version Wave 1/5000 Macross SDF-1 and Bandai SOC IDEON a couple of days ago and I am real happy about the purchase. I have all most completed my zoids collection which looks kick ass and the several gundams I really wanted PICS will be coming shortly but hearing about the good QC on this release makes me regret I didnt get this first   Now I have asked a friend to spot one in Hong Kong because finacially I am tapped out. Here is hoping that one can be found at a reasonable price and I will have it shipped minus the box

  7. Ohhh my god I had it wrong that is why I coud not lock back properly the left plate...

    NOW IT LOCK PERFECTLY

Sorry Yamato YOU had it right ...

I would like to wait until the second run. My question is Yamato going to make a second run with a the Black Anniversary colours? I still have the fast pack 1/72 version and still like it but if I am going to wait for the QC to iron out on the second run I would rather have a different paint apps

  8. The new slim lower legs on the VF-171 mean that a transforming toy that is accurately proportioned in all 3-modes should be possible.

Although the chunky lower legs on the original VF-17D/S from Macross 7 look better IMO, they make it impossible to have a slim line-art accurate fighter mode toy (witness the Bandai 1/65 DX VF-17D/S).

However, the slim lower legs make me wonder whether the VF-171 does have a gunpod, or just relies on the twin chest guns only? I know the manga shows the VF-171 with a VF-17 style gunpod, but it just seems to me that there is no way it would fit in these new slim lower legs.

  9. Good on ya mate! Good to know that i am not the only one hiding valks at work. I just hope that you survive the shock when she finds out how much these cost! Great choices too by the way! I need me one of those Yf-19 wFP and a stealth and a vf-0a. Great stuff! Let us know how the wifey takes it.

I got so many I dont need to hide my Collection. When I put out something new she thinks I swapped something from my Containers HAHA

  10. says the person with like a bazillion minmays (see what I did there?)

The LFO -01 "Nirvash" is no longer available. It was a limited run by Bandai. They are inexpensive about $25-$35 dollars. Because of this price point the quality is on par with Yamato's first 1/60 Vf-1A. Parts you have to take off to get it into vehicle mode. Its plastic feels like good quality, Detail and paint apps are very good

but the hip joints are very loose. I am hoping this mecha gets the SOC treatment, because its definitely deserving of the treatment just not sure why they haven't yet.

There is a kick ass model of the Nirvash -02 which is awesome. Its where the mecha assumes flight capability and is essentially a triple changer. There is also a modified Nirvash kitbash that has taken pieces of an attack chopper and fused it in the body of the model very nice.
