  1. I posted some of the Gundams I got in 08 I need to post more. Right now I am doing inventory of my Collection and boxing up quite a few of them. I have four large display cases and I wanted to thin them out a bit. Once i am done I will post pics. Right now my gundam Collection included PGs Seed with the jet and wings Wing Gundam Zeta Gundam Zeta not transforming one I think its called rx 178 Zaku II red version MGs Unicorn Gundam turn V The Gundam from Astray with THe wings and two huge cannons with the shield with the gattling gun cant remember the name just think its a wicked looking gundam and F91 I do plan of getting the nemesis of Unicorn gundam and the shiny nemesis of Hi Nugundam Zakus one forgot its name also Hi Nugundam I really like the Gundam 00 virtue and Exia new version of them but since I only would get the MG or PG gundams I guess I will never own those. I just find anything less then a PG and MG is not worth the money! You guys should look into the Kotobukiya armored core kits I have two and they take longer to build than a 1/60 PG but man the gloss shine to them (you dont need to paint them) and detail is fabulous in a 1/44 scale. Too bad Bandai cant do that with their 1/44. Also I have three MP Zoid kits from Kotobukiya and they are very nice as well as mecha.
  2. are you thinking nail polish I add that to my zoids decals and they look nice and tampoed or sometimes I add the clear nail polish to my Transformer toys with the metallic paint apps to protect it from chipping which has worked for many many years
  3. I would like it to be in the same size category as my SOC Gunbuster, Aquarion, and Dancougar Figures. Any bigger and it would be in "my wife will kill me" range. I think Bandai will choose the SOC method to their madness on this figure. They will make it durable and accurate with fine detail. Why? Because there isnt much engineering involved in its transformation and therefore more room for detail. Thats my take PS HEY G-Man can I ask you to give me an avatar if I provided on to you?? thanks!http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=28006&view=old
  4. Just a quick question After so many QC issues. Do you think Japanese customers are complaining to Yamato? By now they should not have any QC issues after release after release they keep having issues and it seems Japanese customers are either happy with their products or they are too afraid to say anything. Don t they care? Some Excuses maybe? They can only get one chinese factory to make them where the workers are blind deaf and dumb The engineers think they are smarter than everyone else and are stupid! (The definition of stupidity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results) They cant afford different kinds of plastics to ensure things dont crack or break???? They think that looks are higher in priority vs durability. and Lastly Are we the ones that are stupid that keep buying albeit a very nice mecha but expensive for what you get considering we are afraid to transform them, we have to spend time fixing them and treat them as a Bandai 1/144 Zeta Gundam??? PS Im not raising the Bandai vs Yamato I just want to understand what is motivating a company not to improve its product over several years.
  5. I know couldn't resist tho To this day I still cant get the fast pack on my 1/60 YF-25 to stay flush and ON the plane when its in jet mode. Like I said ever so gentle for fear it will go BOOM!!!!! SO I put it on its display stand and put a strip of masking tape along the seam so it stays and doesnt fall of the jet TeeHee Yamato Anyway CMs is Far More worse and I m just upset yamato cant get the QC in control because they do make some great valks. Maybe they should give up on making these things in China???? Maybe America. Give those folks some work to do.....
  6. ahhh did you ever have to make up your mind detailage vs breakage at least you fixed it! I fortunately have no breaks cause I only change them once and never again and ever so gentle
  7. Well Dammit I broke Down and purchased an Alto on Ebay for 223 CDN I really like the Ozuma a lot more but the dam Neck Thing really bothers me and that fact they didnt use the clear visor or clear plastic visor for the optical units and thats its painted on Oh Well Now I will hold on super pack units the G to see if they have an Ozuma Super Strike Valk then it would be worth the money
  8. thought I start a thread for people to post what they purchased in the year 2008 Here are a few of mine to begin with
  9. I know just wanted to stop Yamato! Bandai! PEPSI! COKE! Posts! Im now interested in getting a cheap Alto
  10. this is stupid I go from deck swabber to a destroid waxer!!!!!!!!!! COME ON!!!!
  11. this thing just doesn't do anything for me. Im happy with the 1/72 version. Maybe another colour scheme would be nice. Like stealth black. Then I might be on board for this release. just doesnt seem sleek enough
  12. you are a brave brave man!!!!! Better poses aside, I would not want to do that to a 200 dollar toy Thank god i hope the prices drop soon. Some of my friends at IBM just got laid off and I'm worried. The hobby shop in toronto Pacific Mall got some in and is asking 300 cdn for an alto. Last time I paid that much was for the SOC Dancouga and Aquarion and I can say that they at least are substantial. No way an Alto is worth 300 bucks Man I really miss Hong Kong. Too bad! Maybe I need to make an excuse and go visit the in laws in Guangzhaou
  13. Question on Price Since we are not paying so much for line art do you think 220 Canadian is expensive for the Aldo DX I m finding a few on the web. Should I wait? Times are bad and our dollar took a nose dive so it seems a little expensive to me. Also I found the fast packs for alto for 139US!!!! Wow I dont think the fast packs were that much for the yammies
  14. thanks I will ask someone to go check. Only reason I though you worked in japan was because you were close to yamato I guess they have an office in HK
  15. hey Bud Which Store. Is it in Tsim Tsum Choi, or Kowloon toy district? I would like to see if I can have someone pickup the vf 25s. Wait a minute I thought you lived in Japan???
  16. Funny thing my 1/72 has none of that and I have transformed it a billzillion times. I have yet to take a look at my 1/60 but im scared. reading the Bandi Thread makes me happier with all the small flaws of the VF 25's that Bandi is making them but time will tell. Maybe Yamato should go back to 1/72 and diecast as there y-19 hasnt broke nor has my vf-1 Footnote: I really like the Patlabor mecha and when I saw Yamatos version I was pleased and really wanted it. I have recently purchased a GGGG and GFG and i just touched the wing feather of gadget gao and it broke were the screw is???? How craptastic is that. Such a nice mech but shoddy work, I digress, Anyhoo so I was in no mind to buy the CM's version of Patlabor but for 300 for a Yammie one that doesnt transform I think was a bit much! considering all the QCs they have. So I went the middle ground and got the WHAM 1/48 version and WOW!!!! really good design engineering nothing broke, and I like the rubber better than the cloth because it looks more realistic! I will post the review with pics in the appropriate thread soon. PS never dealt with overdrive. Does have replacement parts for CMs gaogaigar stuff
  17. Glad to hear your not spouting YAMATO, YAMATO, YAMATO!!!!! I too want Ozma's valk which to me looks better. Stupid impatient me I just pre ordered mine from a local Asian Toy Hobby Shop! Set arrive on Jan 20th. Ho Hum! I NEED one of these valks in my Display cabinet. I will make a fix on the neck issue and bendy antenys Quick Question. Does Glossy white plastic yellow??? I dont think so if there was a semi gloss paint right?
  18. what scares me is that I am patiently waiting for Michaels VF-25G yet I cant seem to find pics of it in flight mode or Lucas for that fact??? Why is that?
  19. I voted Yes to liking Bandai's attempt at a valk collection piece and that I am purchasing the G version
  20. good points I hope they improve Micheal's VF-25 G Only points that really bother me is swapping hands and therefore cannot have the marker perfect transformation. Altos White plastic if it is cheap TURN OFF as this will eventually go banana yuck yellow The neck on Ozuma OMG that looks horrible. The Head Gunbarrels dont bother me as much lack of Fast Packs I dont really care if its slightly of scale the little white blob of a pilot does bother me I think people are being a little too spoiled and too sensitive. This cannot be geared as a childrens toy way to pricey unless japanese kids had huge bank accounts It is very sleek looking and a cool collectors piece. Again I will say this if you never saw MF and didnt know about it and it came under Yamatos Brand I KNOW all of you would be gaga over it. So anyway The model kits are way to brittle I know I have 5 PG gundams and they are very sturdy including the ZETA. I have the Zeta MG V2.0 and its still brittle with only 3-4 more transformations before it explodes so trust me the kit IS not the way to go! IF there was a PG Vf25 Then yeah go for it! Best wait for the 100s and Maybe the G and Lucas will have some improvements If your unhappy about some of the shoddy work email Kawamori Im sure he would love to hear from us about how unhappy we are and might refuse to work with Bandai in the Future until they get their act together. The Japanese have a very strong sense of Pride about the things they do and thats were we can take advantage.!
  21. depends on sales Dancouga was about 6 months and aquarion was about 2 years
  22. Thanks for the review and pics Still looks nice tho. It looks sturdy. Is it sturdy and solid. Kinda of upset about the neck thing but my mind is made up now its the G version for me. Still willing to buy one as they are nice. but it has to come with the fast packs also cant belive so many of you can afford to buy multiples of these!!! But then again I also collect a lot of SOC and Transformers and oh yes MP Grimmy is on my list But you wont be disappointed in the Beta fighter. I know it robotech but they are related to macross as the storey was arched together and their still is the Beagle 1/15 Ride Armor which looks nice!
