  1.

ITT: people who don't understand the realities of economics and engineering, and that businesses are not charitable organizations.

Where is your avatar from totally horned up

  2. Meh.

If people think the bitching and complaining is bad because Yamato DIDN'T release this to the general public...

Imagine just how many "screw you Yamato!" threads there would have been if Yamato HAD released it, and it started breaking in people's hands :)

If anything - this is a QC victory - they concluded it wouldn't work...yet. Back to the drawing board.

    Good. Bravo.

Like Graham said - be patient.

I for instance am holding out for a 1:1 Minmei android who does everything we possibly could dream of :)

    Pete

This and i guess im the only one but im happy with my wave!!!

a scale close to the quarter is fine by me but I dont want a movie version I want a tv version.

I think its ridiculous wanting a toy that big. Why not make ideon that large or Aquarion or Voltron. Its rather silly and greedy i think. Im glad they backed off

  3. have requested clarifying information from Yamato, stay tuned.

However, as far as I know (although this information is a bit old), it will be sold assembled and pre-painted.

The resin used is not the same type of resin used for garage kits, I was told it is used in the automobile industry and is supposed to be very strong.

The reason I was told for not using ABS is that the injection molding machines in the Chinese toy factories cannot handle the large size of some of the parts.

    Graham

I need to add a disclaimer:

Im not trying to start a fight

but will you be getting your "freebie" for this one?

  4. Yeah, and disheartening, too. I could never get them to look that good. Probably I shy away from Gunpla, too.

I dont know what the issue is here

K-Zoids are virtually MG of the Zoids world. Pieces are color coded. They come with great decals

You panel line them with Gundam Markers

You can even paint accents for hoses shocks etc , although you wont even have to do that

    Dont belive me ask Dalong.net

He doesnt paint any of his stuff. While i have a whole airbrush kit i never use it I find panel lining good decaling and the odd paint accents work just fine

you can get mr.paint clear coat and voila

basically you can paint any toy

here is my example of toy that needed accents

  5. The Shin Musha Gundam is just freakin awesome looking. Eventually I'd like to make that kit myself. I just hope my skills are up for it. Even if it is a MG kit, this one I think requires a bit more work than usual to bring out the awesomeness.

As for the Akatsuki, I agree that it should get the MG treatment. Akatsuki is one of my favorites from the SEED universe. I don't know if Bandai will ever get to doing a MG Akatsuki. They've moved onto to Double-O and I haven't seen any indication of them doing another SEED mech in the near future. I'd get the regular HG kit if you like the Akatsuki mech. The 1/100 HG kits aren't that bad. I have a Saviour Gundam waiting to be built and placed next to a Messiah Valkyrie. :p

Ill give you the secret to building MG Kits 4-6 hours and PG kits 8-32hrs

You follow the instructions but go in a different order

you can first build the frames and then add on the armor

or you build hips first, feet, legs

    then head

    waist then arms

also you can decal armor while on the sprues and use wire cliper goes faster and you might want to use a nail file to trip sprue nubs

    thanks for the advice

im going for mg shin deluxe. I think the seed akatsuki will be made eventually into a mg

    it has to

  6. meh

    Still looks fake

I dont like the plot either

Needing resources to continue a war on earth and going a great distance to keep fueling it rather than migrating away from it is pointless. And such an endeavor would need to incorporate all nations. Whatever, as usual hollywood is going way of the dodo in my opinion. I just cant get myself to theaters lately

Im reminded of when watching Robots with my Daughter how copperbottom had a volume control switch on his baby to control the crying. I wish i had a dial like that so i can go from intelligent to stupid when watching trash like this

  7. Is anyone getting this one... GX-51. I still think the chest armor doesn't look 'right' somehow.

Please show some photos if anyone has it in the future... ^_^

    GX%2051-015.jpg

I like this robot. Heck I grew up watching the cartoon

Only i would get an soc in a heart beat for a transforming one like that little japanese company did

  8. The armored DX is better, but there are still visible differences. And that's just on the surface, your own paint application on the model kit would be far more durable than the ones on the DX. The decals do need overcoats though, I admit.

    Also, DX raspberry boxes. >_>

Why not spray Mr. Paint Clear coat on them. I actually added a thin coat of nail polish ! THIN! otherwise it will brush off the paint!!!!!

and nope no decals coming off or paint chips.

    Huh

  9. imo, it's only bad in comparison to what came after... granted, nugundamII, it helps if you actually know how to transform it and you keep the toys away from the wall.

your assuming me not being able to transform toys is as valid as me assuming your an idiot

    Which is greater or lesser.

Its nothing to do with transformation and everything to do with keeping the armor on and not coming off with a kiss of the wind.

The wall was not what broke it. It was design that was broken and the final coup de gras was the design breaking my patience. The wall had no factor in it.

In an ironic twist it pretty much came unscathed. It would have been nice if it fixed the armor to remain on the plane.

Its not just defined to the 19

we have shoulder breakage in v2 1/60s, Floppy wings in the Ivenov and guess what.....shoulder breakage in the 0.....

thats a dam lot of shoulder breakage.

    hmmm

  10. I am also looking forward to the GFFMC Unicorn myself.

However, I wouldn't bet any money on it until I see the final product and review.

I just don't want to see a half done 'white plastic' looking product as Z-plus.

dont believe the negative reviews. The best one i say was the 23 min CDX one and it sold me

I now own the candy red one and its the best dam decision i made.

Same goes for the rx78 version ka with the g-fighter gray version

    Love it

  11. Well, Bandai is getting another order for the Quarter from me. I've just clicked "Buy" on a 2nd Quarter based on the picture of the finished minis. After all, that's the money meant for the Yammie SDF1, which Yammie won't be getting from me. And for that matter, I've cancelled my orders for the M&M VF-22Ss and VF11C as well. I doubt Yamato cared. Too bad. ^_^

Just a show of hands. How many MW members have the Wave SDF 1

I have the movie version and im quite happy with mine and even the scale

  12. Thanks for clearing that up :)

I'm now a little bit happier. I've built Gundam's main body. Dag - the skeltal frame is exactly the same as the RGM-79-GM. Identical. Not that that's a bad thing - I guess GM is mass production...

anyways... I really love the hydraulics inside the shoulders....

After Gundam, I'm gonna build Gouf. Then I'll finish off with Guncannon.

I have to admit though, that the longer I own it, the more I like my Force Impulse Gundam.

I'm looking forward to the new Astrea blue frame as well.

While I don't like the SEED shows, I do like the mecha - they're pretty well designed. Gotta hand it to the Force Impulse, but it is a great great mecha and it makes me curious about other seed mecha.

But in general, I'm finding that the recent kits so totally blow earlier kits out of the water (by earlier I mean like...3 years ago)... that I'd prefer to wait and see what new kits from SEED Bandai produces - or SEED related (like the Astrea) rather than reaching back for the old ones...

I do hope we get a v.2 Unicorn - really could use one. The Katoki one is ok - but KA are generally kind of bad. And I'm not talking about the "industrial" outer frame - but the weak inner frames.

    Oh well...back to building...

    Pete

    Youll love Sword Impulse

as well as Infinite Justice 00

Here are some differences and improvement with V2 Zeta Mine cant stand for poo while my PG has no problems being bipedal
