  1. Definitely. But more options is a good thing! Looks like the Great Impact Gurren Lagann diecast figure is out early: http://www.toysdaily.com/discuz/viewthread...%3D1&page=1 And, damn, I thought the Revoltech figure would be enough to satisfy me, but this is looking incredible. DO WANT!
  2. Another thing I noticed this time around: Ozma Lee is voiced by Katsuyuki Konishi, aka KAMINA (Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann)!!! That's some serious hotbloodedness right there!
  3. As I think back on the episode now, I can't help but wonder how I would have felt had I not seen the Deculture Edition. Would it have been confusing with all the plot rushing to virgin eyes? My mind kept trying to place the cut scenes back into place, and certain continuity problems definitely popped up (the acrobats being backstage one moment and then going outside to change into their x-gears really stood out, along with Lanka's clothing goofs, etc.). I'm just glad we had the chance to see two cuts of the episode, as I don't mind double dipping to see all the good parts. I wonder how they'll release this on official dvds? The eyecatch/Nyan Nyan commercial was absolutely brilliant and worth all the long hours of searching and frustration last night! One thing, though: was this file encoded weird or something? My mac nearly died trying to processs this thing, and would stutter a LOT during any concert/action scenes. I have a pretty powerful iMac that I use for heavy design work, but for some reason it couldn't handle this file. What gives?
  4. TODAY, actually! I wouldn't be surprised if we see fansubs as soon as this evening.

    Macross Revoltech

    Awesome! Count me in, too!
  6. Yeah, I've never read a single page of the Iron Man comics, and honestly had zero desire for anything to do with this film or the character in general...until I saw the recent trailers. Honestly, this may be THE summer movie to beat. And this is coming from someone who is really looking forward to Batman and Indy. Those toys have tempted me recently, as well. But I'm staying strong...for now.
  7. Oh sweet! Thanks Area88! You got me hooked on the first episode a year ago. Now I can finally see the second!
  8. I'd buy that in a heartbeat! I've set up a Sith shelf in my office with Palpatine (2-pack, human and deformed), Darth Maul, Asajj Ventress and Sith-eyes Anakin. Sideshow really needs to make Dooku and Vader, and then I hope they move on to the EU stuff. I'd love Revan, Malak, Nihilus, etc. Do you have any Sideshow figures, Shin?

    Macross Revoltech

Ordered!! Thanks for the heads up! But something tells me the Milia will be MUCH more difficult to come by.
  10. Nope. I got both Ray and Stick from HLJ, and no stickers were included. What you got was LUCKY.
  11. Ah, Star Wars. I have a love/hate relationship with collecting the merchandise. Ever since Kenner/Hasbro's Power of the Force 2 line, I gobbled up so many figures I couldn't even begin to count them all. I still have every one of them, still sitting, unopened, in many, many large Rubbermaid bins in the basement. Around the time AOTC hit, I finally had to ask myself why I had the "gotta catch them all" mentality and stopped cold turkey. This lasted for awhile, but somehow the hype of ROTS really got to me a few years later, and I quickly filled yet more giant bins with figures I'll never display. I probably would have continued to do so if it weren't for Sideshow Collectibles and their 1/6 Jedi Luke figure. That one purchase utterly changed the focus of my Star Wars collecting, and introduced me to a world of more high end, museum-quality figures that feel much more appropriate displayed alongside my expensive Japanese collectibles. I've basically ignored Hasbro figs ever since (though I did decide to collect the entire McQuarrie line of concept art figures due to their uniqueness, and the recent KOTOR-inspired stuff, as I'm a huge fan of the game). Sideshow's line is absolutely stunning, and I find myself gladly buying 10 or so ridiculously detailed figures per year, rather than 70+ little Hasbro guys that will just end up in a bin.
  12. http://www.collegehumor.com/video:1808795 ...Just in case some of you don't check the "GoBots" thread.

  14. Damn it, Fort Max, you just HAD to post that and send me down the path of ordering one of these bad boys from Tam. MW is really bad for my finances sometimes. Seriously, though, after seeing that video of the "shoulder torture," I FINALLY was convinced to give the Proto Garland a try. As long as I don't have to worry about things snapping or crumbling off my $140 toy, I'll be a happy camper.
  15. Honestly, you guys are missing out on THE anime series of the past 10 years or so, hands down. I'm not a Gainax fanboy at all, and initially wrote this one off as more wanking from them. But on a whim, I decided to watch a few episodes, just to see what all the fuss was about. I then found myself watching the ENTIRE series in about a day. It's just that good. If you think Macross 7 is over the top fun, just wait until you see the epic WIN that is Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann (emphasis on EPIC!)!
  16. I just got my shipping notice from HLJ for the box (of 10) TTGL trading figures!! I'm so excited! I didn't even know these were out yet. My desk will now be full of burning spirit, epic GAR, and Yoko goodness. These are what I'm talking about: http://www.hlj.com/product/KNM13485
  17. Would anyone mind translating these? Is the wing/drills version of GL an exclusive or any such nonsense? An upgrade kit, maybe? Or just a whole new figure? Either way, all the TTGL stuff is so bought.
  18. <shrug> So? I'm still saving tons on gas, tax, etc. Am I just more patient than most?
  19. ALERT - HasbroToyShop.com has the entire 1st wave of ANIMATED figures up for preorder NOW! I just ordered the whole lot, if only for the FREE shipping and 10% off (use coupon code SPRCAT8)! NO store will have them at that good a deal for a long time, if ever. I just saved myself a ton of money on gas/shipping (for those harder to find ones)/retail price/tax/etc. I'm surprised that some of the guys at tfw2005 are actually complaining about this, a BARGAIN! If you're going to wait until the street date anyway, this is a no brainer. Go now before these sell out! And don't forget the coupon. http://www.hasbrotoyshop.com/SearchResults...DT=1206370471Go
  20. Not a bad idea at all. Since I plan on buying all TTGL Revoltech-related stuff, that wouldn't bother me one bit. LOVE the new pics! Does anyone have these up for preorder yet??
  21. I second this!! All it will take is one nice hires scan, and our amazing MWorld decal artists can whip something up for us all to enjoy.
