What's even worse, that fatal wound is actually on the wrong side. Which either means it's a similar but non-fatal wound Prime received at some earlier time, or this is actually Negative Universe Prime, thrown into our universe by a cataclysmic plasma explosion and forced to fight alongside his properly mirrored brother under threat of castration: a threat which, quite apparently, was carried out not once but twice. (Probably by Ratchet; we all know he’s into that sort of thing.)

I think anyone showing off their own work, especially when it kicks ass, should get to have their own thread to do so. It's really a different topic and purpose than a thread on a stock item.

Holy crap, look at the graphic breakdown of the votes

Easily the best toy ever.  (This coming from a very selective collector.)  The engineering might not be Perfect Grade caliber, but it's a giant Optimus Prime with a kickin' bot mode for galaxy's sake! 

So large and heavy, makes me feel like a little kid again.

I've probably transformed him four or five times a day since I got him more than a week ago.  No sign of any weak spots.  Looks like it even has a metal pin going through the neck joint to keep it strong.

And that LED for the matrix...so fraggin' bright!  I could probably tape the switch on and use Prime to read by at night. 

Now I just need to get a Hasblow Prime for spare parts.  I'll use that one to figure out how to take him apart safely.  Then I'll strip the chrome on my Takara and paint those bits with silver enamel, detail the panel lines and recesses, change some details and colors here and there, and add some subtle weathering (especially in those molded scratches and dings).  Can't wait to get started.

I wonder if the other use of this mold might be Roadbuster, and if so, what would the head sculpt look like. Rather unlikely though...

I've been looking forward to this one. Already pre-ordered the alternator. Just one thing bothers me after seeing these pics: the head sculpt. As it is now, it just doesn’t look like G1 Hound. The face is too narrow and triangular.

Looks great. Just doesn't look like Hound to me. I just wish the face was a bit broader.

Firefly was a great show. Second only to Farscape. Those networks should be deeply embarassed by their tendency for premature cancellation. They just get excited way too easily.

Mine is supposed to arive today. Waiting is no longer as easy as it was when it was merely impossible.

What kind of conclusion is that?! This thread would make a really sucky movie! I need answers. I need to know!

The hood is still in the back, ain't it? That's the back end up front this time.

It does look better. Although, no little twist will improve that head sculpt.

Also, seeing tail-lights on an autobots chest is a little odd, but not a deal breaker.
