Yes indeed...thanks for sharing the link!

That is correct.

I'm sorry, but I can't really testify as to their durability. I have built 3 of the VF25 1/72, but I viewed them as models, not figures. Therefore, after I built and posed them, I have left them on the shelf on display and have not transformed them again.

Excellent first pick! He certainly has that smirk...

After trying Mr Color lacquers, I gave up enamels. One coat, no brush lines, super-fast dry.

Yes! I still have that kit, built it a couple decades ago, actually. LOL!

I love these kits! I have built the VF-25F, Armored VF-25S, RVF-25, and am now in the process of building the VF-25G. As stated above, they are very complex, and difficulty depends on your experience at building transformable plastic kits. One little piece of advice I will give: there are stages where decals must be applied before further construction. Look over your instructions carefully!

I have to have one of these! It's a little reminiscent of Ranka's battroid costume from Frontier.

Cool! I love SD!

I'm eyeing the 1/72 Bandai kit.....

Mine arrived today! Found it on Ebay. These pop up on Ebay frequently. It is awesome! Will post pics soon!

Just purchased Bandai Ex Gear Alto Type figure. Should be here tomorrow!

I am planning on displaying it in cockpit mode. It looks really cool from the pics I've seen

Sweet! Similar color scheme as the Minmay Guard?
-
I prefer 1/72 scale. Hopefully Bandai or Hasegawa will produce kits in that scale for Delta.

First off, nice work! I'm in the process of building the RVF-25. I've completed the VF-25F and the armored VF-25S. These kits are, in my opinion, the very best in Macross transformable kits. They are fragile, but remember, they are kits and not toys. I bought a VF-100s figure to mess around with. I transform my kits into the mode that I want to display them in, and leave them on my Macross shelf. LOL! Beautiful work! : )

NeoRevan: awesome! Another Macross fan in Farmville, VA, USA!

Added DX Chogokin Macross Quarter to my collection!

BTW....are there any interesting things happening on the web for this auspicious occasion?
-
Oh yeah....I was ready for today as well....pulled my Macross books out of my library, loaded my CD changer in my car with Macross OSTs, and watched episode 1 as I sipped my coffee before heading to work. I've been a Macross fan for a little over 28 years now and it still holds all the fascination as it did when I was first introduced to it. Happy Birthday SDF1!

Thanks! I'm really proud of it! Had wanted this kit for a long time, and it was a sheer joy to build! My methods will seem quite "backwoods" to this forum, im sure, but I use the water decals and seal them with clear nailpolish. I then seal the entire kit with aerosol hairspray. It takes all of my hobby funds just to purchase the kits, so I have to go to "grass roots" for my materials. The painting was minimal, thanks to the multicolor molding of the kit except for the cockpit and pilot. I am posting links to the battroid mode which will be the final display state.

Was the kit properly molded? Looking over a review on eBay, and it said that there were incompletely molded parts. I have been REALLY interested in this kit since it's announcement. I am liking what I'm seeing here and am hoping that may have been an isolated defect.
