The overpriced 1/48 you are talking about is the G-System Kit... wich I think must be like 1000000000X better than this Core Works Casting. This kit is a convertion Set, so yep, it is made for the 1/100 MG kit. And you should see the decals printing quality...

So I got this Core Works Convertion Kit form a guy in HK. Well... what can I say. The sculpt is suppa cool looking, but the cast is HORRIBLE. Really, At the beggining I really put a lot of work on this kit, but after two weeks I just got tired... nothing fits, the seam lines are HUGE, it is all crooked and un even. Panel lines are a real disaster. Well, after all I "kinda finish" this thing, considering all the ours invested I must say this model I made SUCKS but it still looks presentable. If any one of you guys wanna buy this kit, be advised, it IS a crappy kit. Some pics:

The bad: An int. school here costs between 15.000-16.000 per year. I paid less in university. There are NO loans, NO credit cards. The Wive. but I must say she is a beauty and she deserves it. The beast (my son... love to buy him all the toys he wants and I want... my defect) Rent in Shanghai is damn nuts... night life... expensive. DAMN EXPENSIVE! Furniture... she loves to change everything in the house after a year at the most. Toys... since I decided to stop buying PVC crap and Japanese companies decided to start production of MORE collectors toys like te fewture Black Ryoma, Yamato's 1/48s, SOCs and so on... I got pretty screwed with my "let's safe for the best". So I am buying every cool "coolectors Toys" and I am damn broke in my monthly toy allowance. My modelling skills are getting better so are my expenses in airbrushes, compressor, paint, and every singly thingie I can get in a hobby shop. Got into Resin Kits... big mistake. Been SO near HK.. I am making up excuses all the time to fly there for some "meeting" while it is just toy hunting... Foreigners food is price tag x 2 or 3. FLights and hollydays... we are far away from home, It cost a fortune to visit the family. The good: Thaks God I already have my houses so no need to pay mortage. we only have one child (BIG ISSUE). Car is provided by the company (not a Benz but still decent piece of junk). Air Tickets to hokme are provided by the company, as well all the normal stuff a compny will pay for ya. Got a good job. I dont like strippers... much. Gas is suppa cheap in Shanghai. (anyways, I dont care, compay pays for that) The FAKE MARKET is the best ever... My wife can buy a whole closet every day for damn cheap, so she can excersice her shopping without huge damages to my finances. Drivers are cheap so I dont have to carry my wife and son arround, and most important she uses my car while I am working, so no "wife car" is needed. I am a Cheap bastard so I dont spend in clothes or cigars, cars... just toys.

Well, actually the toy was super yellowed... so I had to paint it. Later I got "reative" and modified some parts like the rocket laucher that now is attached to the backpack instead of the shoulder, weapons and some other thingies. Still need to wheather him and fix here and there... not my best work I must say but still looking better than all yellowed. That took some coljones! Very gutsy, like a cross over with the MSV Full Armor Gundam. :-) 346057[/snapback]

I have to agree with Graham. The Aquarion Toy looks like a Transformer in Robot mode. I cant help it, it just doents convince me at all, the only decent looking mode is the Solar, and it have HALF Robotooooo hanging on his back... Maybe If I am able to hadle the toy I will change my mind, but so far... it is UGLY.

Also the Zinc Panic Radar says the GBP will be released in December http://www.zincpanic.com/radar.phtml Maybe HLJ is right. If Yamato say DECEMBER, sure we will get the toy in February.

What do you mean?? Well genearlly I used a 1/12 Scpodog from Yamato. a Chirico Cuvie figure (very nice!! excelent paintob, sculpt, man boobs and most of all poseability) tamiya paint, thinner. airbrush, brush... and a bunch of moddeling supplies. Sorry about that. Yeah sure my dear Aussie friend, I am sure we can discuss the right price.

I almost finished my Yamato 1/12 scopedog (Votoms). Wonder your oppinion guys, is the weathering too heavy? Since it is a 1/12 tank looking mecha I tought It needed a LOT of weathering.

Great news, but coming from yamato I wont go nuts till I see a release date, dont forget the garland and the Monster among others. Yamato may have lots and lots of cool proyects but they tend to leave many on the way. On the other hand I am so totally glad they decided to skip the crappy vertion and go straight to the High en one. I could die with a 1/60 VF 0 line from Yamato.
