Frankin Ugly! Got the GBP armor and TV VF-1J Hikaru with fast packs last night and created a Frankin Ugly Armored Gerwalk. Two Strike Cannons on the TV Fast Packs, with the GBP shoulders, forearms, hands and lower leg armor. The Gerwalk is very nose heavy and wants to pitch forward, does not hold the gun pod well. Plus it looks awful. It will be converted to GBP battroid tonight. Took apart the chest piece to insert the missiles it was held together with four screws and two spots of glue. It required a little force to get the gray interior panel to release from the glue spots.

Yes, the front part of the GBP-1S's back pack booster is detachable. No, you cannot attach a regular FAST Pack version on it. Are they Minimissile pods like the the "Super" or are they just boosters to carry they core Valk to safety when they eject from a damaged suit of armor? 405553[/snapback] The GBP back packs do not contain the mini missles that the "supers" have. If the Armor has a selective jettison then the boosters could be used to assist the core Valk. To jettison wing stores on a real aircraft, there is by position and then also jettison all. It is not a far fetched idea to think the same for the GBP. In the TV series Hikaru ejected all the armor and the boosters. This may have been in preparation for him to infiltrate the Zentradi scout ship. As seen on Macross 25th Anniversary, the beginning of VF-X Ravens shows two VF-1As “skating†across the surface of a planet at night. The back pack would supplement the thrust from the legs and provided forward thrust in addition to the three thrusters on the back of the Valk. There is also a scene in space when all the armor is ejected and the VF-1A retains the boosters.

How is that book? I've seen it for sale for about $80!! Too much I thought, was I wrong? 406256[/snapback] I think it is a great book. I wish I could fit it on my flatbed scanner without breaking the binding. Ordered it from HLJ and the lower corner was bent but it is outstanding. If you simply like Macross it is a must have. It is on par with high end aviation art books. Could actually see it in hard bound!

Wow! That looks great. It reminds me for the F-4 Phantoms with the south east asia paint schemes of the early 70's.

Looks like the poster is a page from the Valkyrie book. Is that correct?

Macross 7 Aircraft. Yamato already has the VF-11, YF-19 and YF-21. Will only take minor mods to make them Jamming Bird, Kia 19, and Max VF-22. Include the magnet fast packs and fold boosters. New airframes Zola VF-5000 and VF-17.

How long before the resin casters pick up on this? 1/48 in a bag. Great Idea!

1/72 Blue VF-19A and all the macross legos are at work in a bookshelf except the lego Monster which is on the desk at home.

1) Just got married. Only have the super/strike stealth because she bought it for me yet checks that I do not go overboard on Ebay. 2) I am a hardcore completist when it comes to 1/72 scale models. Made an S-3 Viking from Zero just to add to the display. Good on ya to the fellow with 70 valks! 3) Can not maintain buying spree in the long term. Missed the Lov Vis because was out of the country and then added to the ebay inflation. May miss the Low Vis 2 to get the Low Vis Armor. Already on pre order at TMP. Being gone saves money, instant I come back: new Yamato and Hasegawa products. Even got an airbrush not beacuse I wanted to modernize but because my local hobbyshop closed and I can not get spray cans.

Just got my super stealth from HLJ. Have not taken the valk out. But the two interior boxes are plain white. Is that the same on yours? It is so stealthy it is generic.

What type of glue, putty or filler would you use to build up the missing pin on the vertical fins? Do not want to use the wrong stuff and watch my Zero melt.

Yamato improved both the YF-19 and the VF-11B so there is hope. The VF-1S was not perfect for the first run with the falling of nose cone. I have to agree with those that are both amazed and disappointed in the Zero. I just guess we are spoiled by the mature VF-1 design when compared to a new introduction. Amazing enough that is what pilots say when new aircraft models are fielded.

Yes, the sheet has two cockpit ejection warning tri-angles but only one instrument panel. I hope having "LT Sin Kudou" as sign that a gray VF-0A in on the way also.

So you're going to repaint the LV2 GBP to a black and gray pattern? That could be really sweet! 399450[/snapback] It will sit in the standard colors of bit. May repaint in the future but not for the next couple on months.

399459[/snapback] Just do the Hasegawa trick add an additional circle the same size as the kite but in either white or off-gray as background. Have the Macross Zero F-14 markings been produced to modify 1/72 Dragon Wing Diecast or Armour 1/100 F-14's?

The vertical fin and hinge assemble are removable! With the fin extended, folded out, gently pull out and up along the centerline of the fin while holding the backpack in position. The single internal friction lock will release at approximately five pound of force. Now we just need the replacement assembly. Important to note the right "starboard" fin has L marked on the hinge plate and the left "port" fin has R marked on the fin.

My Stealth is coming from HLJ and the Low-Vis Armor from TMP. When I get the two it will be stealth GBP.
