Took longer than expected but it's done. More pics coming, playing around with the backdrop abit.
thanks

Still on, I had to finish up the 1/48 pod build first, which is finally done and will be posting pics later today.
I don't have a lot to do on the arm and claw, but want to start the actual "base" part shortly. Again there will be the option to get just the claw and arm, or the whole thing including the base, depending on how much you want to spend.
thanks

Hey guys, my 3d guy is supposed to be making the final adjustments to the big leg wheel thingy tonight, it's a little behind, so i am too, but hopefully soon.
A couple of weeks delay is fine actually, it's no where near normal temps here, record cold in fact. It's really bumming me out.
More to come.
thanks

I know it sounds like your unloading stuff, but are you open to any trades? Not sure if your dumping just macross stuff or everything. Let me know if there is something your looking for....

That is a great looking monster, this is close to the stance that i have engineered for the new kit.....

Do you happen to have a pic of the recast on the site, not a link i guess that would be bad, but a pic? I know the one on ebay is like $550 and it appears to be a rework of that old WF kit from like 2001ish.
thanks

It's a part that I kitbashed from a 1/9 Kettenkrad on my first version, it's a tough part more because it looks like an all day project for just a single part. Luckily my buddy did not mind, because i guess in 3d he only had to make 1 "slice" then replicate it to fill in the whole wheel.
As far as price, I am still trying to figure something out. It's just a huge kit. The kitspower semi recast one on ebay seems to go for like $550-$600 ish + overseas shipping. I'm thinking I need to be somewhere in the 3 installments of like $150 + shipping for each installment. To keep that in perspective it's only about $60 more than the Capt's 1/72nd glaug was when he release it, and this monster is probably 3 or 4x the amount of materials of that. So even at the 3 installments of $150, i would be happy just to cover costs.
If this was one of the other type of kits i do it would easily be in the $600 range, and that would be for molding and casting, never mind the time put into the pattern.
I'll see if i can do better than that on the price, I don't want to do all this work just to price it out of range for everyone, there's no point in that either.
thanks

So i just got some renders today for the "wheel" on the upper leg, the only part i am not doing myself, having my buddy who does 3d stuff get one grown for me. I have a couple things i need him to tweak, then off to the printer. Once that is done i will finish up the last bits on the legs and get molding...
thanks

Thru a turn of events i wound up with 2 of these, this one has the more beat up box so i am going to let it go. I just paid $250 + international shipping for this, I'd like to get $225 + shipping, and now that it's in the USA, that would be a savings for anyone here.
Valk is in good shape, unbroken, couple of small scratches in the usual places, super armor is very nice. No gun clip, decals or missles, no paperwork.
Box is pretty crushed in the top left, but is still a decent display piece.
PM me for any additional details.
thanks

Thanks, almost there. just a handful of odds and ends, then dial in the weathering a bit more.

Hey just a note, that kamjin is 1/48 not 1/60, hope it goes well.

Super bright LEDs, actually pre wired super brights, meaning it comes from the factory with the resistor already wired. A bit more expensive, but no guessing, and the resistor and LED are nicely wrapped for a durable connection. Behind the LED is a clear engine diffuser.

Cool, yeah i got a stash of parts, from multiple sources as well, and a stash of Anazazi decals, plus decals i printed myself, oh and like a dozen 1/55's patiently waiting for some TLC.
You would think i would be sick of the VF-1 after all this time, but no, spend lots of daydreaming time on them...
-
Ok, so 1/55 Jetfire to a Super O or VF-1D or any other VF-1 custom build thread would be ok in the Workshop, once done off to the Toy section, or even just up under member customs gallery?
Again, sorry to be a pain, just want to get this right if i ever get around to doing some 1/55 customs again, been kind of nostalgic for them lately, been using that wayback machine to look for old MW customs. I have a stash of resin parts, some mine, some others that i have horded that i hope to tackle one day.
Actually can't believe that i have had some of the parts for like 10+ years!
thanks again

Just for clarification, and not to be a trouble maker but like a lot of old timers at MW i have a stash of 1/55 parts in resin (if you get my meaning!) from kind of before that was really taboo. So if i ever finish said 1/55's with old stash parts, no displaying here at MW at all or just kind of "hey check out my custom Jfire conversion!" with no mention of resin.
Only ask because i have been itching to do an old school 1/55 custom, may not really get to it anytime soon, but the people i would want to share it with are here, not a for sale thing either, just sharing.
Will respect Mods decisions of course.
thanks

Back on track after too many snow days.
Sticking with the making this as sturdy as possible, 2 countersunk screws for the hip to body connection. I will cover this with details.
Upper legs with some 3/8 brass to connect to the lower legs.
Temp rigging to get the legs posed and fixed in with a combo of 5 minute epoxy and brass, brass will get hidden under the sensor thingys.
thanks

Few more for now, will take a few more when the light in the room changes. It's so big i can't fit it in my shop for pics, so i need to take it in my living room and it's high noon light right now. Weathering will show up better in less natural light.
thanks
