I'm not a fan of the CGI either, but I'll watch it because I am *gasp* a fan of Robotech.

It is because Rhino (who owned the rights/printed the DVDs/whatever) went out of business.

Man, I wish I could get the DVD of the movie. I tried bidding on a few copies on eBay a month or so back... but they are nearly impossible to get for less than $40.

You know, I hope someone cams that damn thing just to teach HG a lesson. They just are getting greedy and want to milk the stupid movie for all it is worth.

Why would they make Optimus look exactly like the G1 toy anyway? He doesn't look like that in the original cartoon.

It is 123.5 mb... ridiculous. I'm getting about 100 kb/s from their server but it will still take a while. *sigh*

The only problem is that when I ordered my Cannon Fodder 1/48 from action-hq the shipping took forever (around 2 weeks). I'll think about it, but only because it'll save me $50.

I'm going to ask again since no one answered my question last time. For the people who own the Takara MP-01 - are the smokestacks easy to break? Should I be extra careful or worried about breaking them?

yeah but there was a lot noise by fans of the old who initially wished the show had retain the feel of the older show. One example is how we saw mainly humanoid cylons instead of the typical robot looking cylons. Big change there. And how the main character was changed to a female who smokes cigars for the sake of it. I got my first Alternator yesterday. Kind of a pain to transform... but he looks cool. I won't go out of my way to buy anymore, though. If I see Mirage I'll buy him and that's it.
