  1. OK, so let me see if I've got this right...there probably will be a 25G reissue, but they've yet to make G renewal superpacks and as of yet have no plans to...?
  2. Ditto,Saitou, I'd love to know how to hoodwink them Bandais. And thankee!
  3. I appreciate the 2 cents, Dimis, but fourteen-year-old braggarts are what they are, ne?
  4. Sputter all you like, greedy is greedy. Sure, it's your choice to do so, but from the other side of your mouth you seem to try to state being a supportive member here, but words are wind. If you'd take your crotch away from my behind for a minute, you'd see that. I don't blame you for the game, but I do hold you accountable for your dirty choices, "playa".
  5. So you're a "real" fan, you say "bandai's screwin me, I can't get one!" You want help, get it from the community, then order 2, screaming "in yo face!" In terms of shortage, you = part of the problem. Taking the bread right outta my mouth, man.
  6. Yar, (beautiful sculpts aside) even if just for the competition against Bandai!
  7. LOL Saitou- I thought you'd said CAR-jacked...! I'm all like "Dude, are you OK?? We're worried about a friggin TOY, an you've been robbed!" I'm glad you're only as hurt as the rest of us unlucky ones w/o a preorder.
  8. I *had* one in my cart at NY, but someone ganked it right outta there while I was checking out. Grr!
  9. I may have to pounce on this one, although I am intensely curious if and when they might re-release the 25G. I can still tentatively find super or armorpacks, but only for the S and F. So..how bad would Alto's superpack (not to be confused with "superPAC") look on Mikhail's rig?
  10. That's one wicked-looking VF-OS in the background there, Usagiz! >D Oh, and we're glad you didn't break your Lightning III.
  11. This bird is so gorgeous, and now it is mine! I've waited for this day for about 7 years, only dreaming Yamato would ever make this. I could have hugged my mailcarrie-lady! Good thing I didn't, she looked like she coulda kicked my teeth in. I must have got lucky... or N-Y got wise and started routing through JFK instead. My condolences to you folks out there still waiting for theirs. By now though you've guessed that it's worth the wait.
  12. So...! Beautiful...! I just got myself a 17S on sale, but I shall throw down for this. Yea, even at retail, should my preorder triggerfinger be up to the task!
  13. Chalk that up as a "dammit, we payed Ms. Kanno and the israeli phil GOBS of money to do this shite, we're gonna squeeze it as best as we can!" along with an "anime costs money!!" et cetera!
  14. I finally put together the scratch so I bought mine from HLJ 2 days ago. I actually prefer the movie version and am happy to have a capital ship to display. ARMD platforms all the way, baby!

    Buying a YF-19

So do any of you think Yamato will crank out another run of the FP+Yf bundle? It seems the only non-ebay options at this point include getting each piece seperately which just doesn't appeal to me.
  16. STARCOM!! I still have a bunch of these squirreled away somewhere at my parents' place. Let me tell you, these toys were TOUGH. I'd bring them in the pool with me when i was a lad (seemed like a great idea at the time, what with all the motorized parts.. ><; ) I currently have about 12 of those little magnet-footed dudes on my fridge. But now that I've gone and watched the intro to the show on youtube.com, ....... Man oh man does that look like a Macross ripoff! I know that the show didn't always do that, but the intro makes the show look like a Macross clone. I do remember it being pretty good, too, but I also remembered how non-campy transformers was until i bought some of the newer DVDs and tossed aside the rose-colored glass called childhood. ugh. I'm looking into getting ahold of some episodes anyway. You can actually still kind of get them through Amazon, i've noticed. There was even a DVD release, apparently, back in march 2005 from "aluminum filmowrks" or something like that. 3 episodes out of 13.
  17. I feel this desparation inside me to buy one...nay, three of these bastards but I'm worried about two things. One, really, just split into two parts: -Will there be a "fixed" release when (/if) they correct some of the flaws that are bound to crop up in the first batch(es)? -Will Yamato just go ahead and release a version With the Fastpacks, possibly one updated from the initial release to fix errors and also work better with the Fastpacks themselves? Not to be the little stormcloud mucking up your day, but problems like these are not inconceivable to toy owners of ANY brand. This is a very expensive "investment" and I want to be sure I don't gip myself by jumping the gun, and I've suffered before due to both impatience and the wait-and-see. You never know what Yamato is going to do with their production schedules, what they might re-release due to good sales, but I remember what happened last time with the YF-19 and me (see the above wait-and-see, poor sucker waits for Toycom to pick up the license). /sigh. What to do.
  18. If Shinsei and General Galaxy really Are civilian companies (as M+ seems to borrow heavily from the squaring off of the yf-22 and yf-23) then woulnd't they be the ones to select their own test pilots? The theory that choosing those two as a setup is possible, but given the scope and context of the story (and the presentation-it's a movie) I doubt it is a facet to it. And in regard to why they'd put up with Isamu's shenannigans (besides, again, it's a movie), it seems that to a company in Shinsei's shoes with an overpowered fighter that kills pilots, finding a pilot that won't wreck hiself, the fighter or their bid for the contract is worth putting up with a little crap for. It's like Prima-donna actors in LA, often they can be complete wastes of oxygen and are deplorable human beings but the director and producers put up with it cause they're the "talent" and they have to have him or her. It's up to Shinsei to make sure he doesn't screw up their plans. If they fail, they lose. Isamu's apparently worth the risk.
  19. So far as I can tell, the sale is over. I put it off too long (worked on a music video all week, had time only to shower before i fell asleep as i stood) and now I can't get Mospeada for fifteen bucks. 'course, last time i DIDN't wait to buy something, i bought my 1/48 Hikaru for a high price (and had to replace the "A" head with an "S")
  20. Guys and Gals: Don't be frustrated with YOURSELVES for being "impatient" in terms of paying out the nose for FPs and 1Ss. Who the Hell can read Yamato's mind?? If Yamato was more forthcoming with release info then things would be easier. I've been freaking about putting my VF-1S Hikaru together with FPs for awhile. Thus, my previous poverty saved me from paying double. you can't kick yourself for dishing out big dough for those FPs. I'm sure you all considered those expensive prices arduously before going "clickety-click" to order that coveted macross item. peace of mind knowing that no matter what, you have fastpacks...priceless.
  21. those look really really good. Definitley interested in a set if/when someone does a recast...!
  22. I would doubt that Takara would want to get involved in the BW-Tatsunoko mess. But who knows, maybe we'll be granted the boon of being pissed at the TF fan side of ourselves. That's only if Takara ends up being more of a bitch than Tatsunoko. We shall see, young Jamming Birds! (closest thing to a Macross Jedi I could think of.)
  23. I've just gotten the Animeigo set like 2 months ago. I don't need any more. Plus dubbing (to me) just insults the source material. for 'lesser shows' I can deal, but you always lose something in the translation. Macross is too sacred! (seriously, the production value is enormous) So unless this new set is 'teh bombs', i'm happy with my animeigo. (oh, and my DVDs aren't tight in the cases...should i still be worried?) Oh, and those setboxes are SWEET. (first time i've checked them out...). I may have to get one.
  24. I definitely want one!!! (I'll need a large, please) and yes, it certainly is "toiit".
  25. I love the VF-11. I was really disappointed in the toy, though. I remember seeing the prototypes for the first time and getting really really excited. Then I got one and I could tell from the feel of the plastic that I'd best be damn careful. I'm kinda glad I have it (wish it had the FPs!), but especially after hearing even more reports about them breaking, I think I'll leave it in its box for good.
