  1. Not true if you look at The Transformers: Masterpiece.

The suffix ones are the special editions, which I interpret to mean they are one-off runs with lower quantity. IMO, most of these special editions won't appeal to normal fans.

Even for MP-11SW and MP-11T, it'll be cool to have them to form the seeker trio, but it is really buying MP-11 three times. Because of that, I find it hard to justify at these prices.

At this point, I hope Takara re-issues MP-11 and MP-13. I have missed them twice!

For MP-29, for those who haven't gotten it, I have a strong feeling that Takara will release a toy-colored purple color. :D

The color of Shockwave, in hand, is better than the pics of him I saw prior to his release. However, I would love a darker purple one like the G1 toy.

  2. My kid was really into animated. I got to enjoy that show with him, and he got most of the toys from that show and I got to play with them some. I thought they were pretty good toys, and they looked like their TV show characters in both modes. It took me a while to get into the art style of the show, but the decent story eventually had me watching all the episodes.

  3. Count me among the lovers of MP-01. It was pretty much the Transformers toy event of a lifetime when he was first released, so the feeling of that original experience is impossible for me to forget or discount. Aside from that initial excitement I actually genuinely love the way he looks (even alt mode doesn't bother me since it's solid and rolls) and the tactile experience of just handling it and transforming it. I still get a good amount of satisfaction from it all of these years later, and even though I LOVE MP-10, I still find MP01 more enjoyable to handle overall. It just feels more robust to me and more like a 'play with me!' toy.

Very happy to have both in my collection. I think just the fact they both exist is a good testament to how spoiled us TF fans are. :D

it's nice to have the one that started it all
  4. Depends how you look at it, Star Sabers value to me is worthless. I've never had any attachment to the character. I never watched victory as a kid. The only ones that have any nostalgia value to me are they early ones. I lost interest when Hot Rod replaced Optimus. It does look like a great toy, I just don't have any interest in him.
