I think it's reason enough to get out the tanto & rice paper

-
It's a more upscale version of the HG kit, with more parts and better detail. And it seems to borrow design elements from the MG 2.0 kit for its poseability.
Thanks

The latest Dengeki Hobby has a article on an RG 1/144 RX-78-2 (pg 66 & 67).
My Japanese is not good enough to understand the article, so does anyone know what a RG (Real Grade I suppose) is?

So let the merciless exploitation of the Macross modeller begin in 1/48 scale

more help from thegunny please
while digging through that damn room looking for gundam I found a few more pounds of warhammer I could use help id'ing. I thing I broke them down fairly well into groups of skeletons/undead, knight types, elves/wussy knight guys, dwarves/halflings or whatever a dwarf dwarf would be called, and bad guys like orcs and animals. One of the bad things looks like a baby dragon and one looks like maybe it should have been included in my tyranid auction but I don't know. All of these figures would have been from 1993 or before. Any info on them and advice on if I should sell them as a lot or as pictured would be great.
Oh yeah... pic of three "samurai" guys... which pile should they be in?
Games Workshop have changed their figures so many times over the years it's hard to keep up with them

There is a web site (What mini is that???) that does list quite a lot of the old GW stuff. Can't recall what it is but it usually pops up if you do a search on Space Marines. Most of those figures will fetch good money as there is a pretty high demand for the old metal stuff as weird as it looks compared to today's figures. Don't sell them as a lot they will definitely get more if sold in smaller groups.

Gunny's got some errors in his nomenclature:
Gee I got 1 wrong and missed identifying 1
Did it make you feel good

battletech auction away shortly but double check my description with the pic if you don't mind thegunny.
2 locust (unseen)
1 griffin (unseen) soltic
1 marauder (unseen) glaug/zentraedi officers pod
1 warhammer (unseen) tomahawk/excalibur
8 stinger (unseen) veritech/valkyrie/jetfire
8 wasps (unseen) veritech/valkyrie/jetfire
2 Phoenix Hawks in jet mode (unseen) veritech/valkyrie/jetfire
5 Zues (unseen)
4 unknown
3 unknown
3 unknown
2 unknown
8 single mechs unknown
50 support tanks
here are the auctions already up. No love for an army of tyranids?
http://shop.ebay.com/amuck10/m.html?_nkw=&...p;_trksid=p4340
The Phoenix Hawks in "jet mode" are called LAM's (Land Air Mech). Can't tell from the pic if they are Phoenix Hawk LAMs but if they look like a VF-1S Strike then it's a PH, if it looks like a std VF-1 it's a Wasp LAM and if it looks like a VF-1 Super than it's a Stinger LAM.
The mech at the bottom left with the leg off is a Stalker (not unseen). On the right of the Stalker is a Crusader (it appears to be missing it's jets) and to the left is an Awesome that is missing an arm. The Zeus is not unseen and I've named all the other mechs from your other pic.
The vehicles do not look like any Battletech vehicles I've even seen (too small) but they do look like Warhammer 40K Epic tanks.
Thanks for the offer of the mechs but as I live in Australia I'll pass as it will cost you too much to send them.

how about these things? they look smaller than 1/100 scale comparing the parts sizes on my unbuilt glaug so maybe 1/144? Anybody know what they are and what they are called? I recognize the glaug, the vf in hybrid mode, the gbp-1s/cruasader, and the 2 "archers"/spartans/gladiators. The rest I have no clue about. help

The red figures are from Crusher Joe. In Battletech they are a Scorpion and a Goliath.
The figures directly below are also from Crusher (I think) In BT they are Thunderbolts.
The figures below them are from Dougram. In BT they are Shadowhawks.
Not sure what series (Crusher Joe?) the blue figures are from but in BT they are Battlemasters.
The green figure next to the Battlemasters is from Dougram. In BT it is a Griffin.
The blue chicken leg figures are also from Crusher Joe. In BT they are a Locust.
Not sure about the white one at the top but it has a Dorvac look about it.
The figure next to the Glaug is a BT clan Couger.

hey guys. I fell back on the planet and after recovering from selling my 67camaro on ebay I am getting back into it years later. I still miss the car but I need to purge some of the stuff that prevents me from walking into my office without playing tetris. Lots of stuff but photo's will be slow in coming as I literally have to excavate things. I've been on the ss list since they made the first one so if I mention something of interest say something before I list on ebay. Right now I am focusing on stuff blocking me from my macross stuff like g1 transformers, gundam hcms, gundam musha cloth, models, etc... but I will probably be letting go of everything not 1/55 that is not a duplicate. Trades are welcome but there is not much I am looking for. I suppose I still need to complete my 1/55 collection so...
1/55 milla takatoku complete in box
1/55 max takatoku complete in box
1/55 vf-1s super complete in box(everything but the valk itself) I have beer's resin and an original valk
1/55 elintseeker complete in box(everything but the valk itself) I have beer's resin and an original valk
1/55 super-ostrich complete in box(everything but the valk itself) I have beer's resin and an original valk
that said... I almost have every pre2k 1/55 ever made by any manufacturer and all but the above complete in box. I still don't know about the damn 1/55 israeli some-one posted a pic of
aside from that not much I really need/want besides wwii memorabilia and guns.
Lots of stuff will need to be id'ed here so look back as it will take me a bit to make a dent. Anything macross related will get stalled before ebay in case any of the folk here who have helped me out in the past have interest.
first up are some battletech unseen mini's I cannot remember the names of. Out of 48 I could not place these remaining ones.

1 is a Bombadier
2 is a Dragon (not unseen)
3 is a Javelin (not unseen)
4 is an Orion (not unseen)
5 is a Vulcan
6 is a Wolverine
7 is a Banshee but the left arm is not original (not unseen)
8 is an Awesome (not unseen)
9 is a Victor (not unseen)
10 is an Assassin (not unseen)
11 is a Quickdraw (not unseen)
12 is a Clint (not unseen)

K-ON 2 is out.
More fun and laughts for Afternoon Tea Time.

Don't know about you but I thought it was bloody awful
The new OP is woeful (ED is OK) and the laughs were few and far between. Let's hope it picks up over the next few episodes. I saw somewhere that it could be 24 or so episodes so hopefully the only way is up

-
so if you want it, now's the time to stand up and be counted.
I'm standing up, at attention even

I'll have 2 please.
-detailed cockpitsAny chance of a Misa figure along with the death scene extra pilot?
-
It would also save on ammo as the opposing pilot would probably bust a side laughing so much and crash when the valk turned into a chicken in front of him.
-
Just to add.... I think the failings of intermediaries and local post offices, coupled with the lack of a tracking number is the reason why quite abit of shops insist on EMS, simply because of the peace of mind it provides, not to the customer, but rather to the retailers themselves
They are not willing to do SAL because thy know that they will have to spend time to face the issue and customer, and even then sometimes things just cannot be solved easily.
It's only SAL small parcel that doesn't have a tracking number and if people insist on buying from HLJ who will not use normal SAL (which does have a tracking number) and don't pay for EMS then they've no grounds to jump up and down because they don't have a tracking number when things go south.
-
I do not have tracking number, so how do i track? This joke is not funny.
No number, no track it's as simple as that unfortunately. There is still some form of minimal coverage included in the SAL postage fee but HLJ will have get the ball rolling with Japan Post and if JP are like any other postal service they will have a minimum waiting time etc, etc.
Not really sure why you are jumping up and down in these forums
The info about what to do and how to go about it is easily obtained and no one but yourself can help you. It's all part of the joys of the big wide corporate "all care but no responsibility" world we live in
-
how do you track the item?
Just go here and put in the number Japan Post Tracking
-
Unfortunately most Japanese retailers do not allow SAL small pac (without track and trace) for Valks and other large/expensive items.
HW Japan offers normal SAL for larger items and it does have track and trace but you just have to be careful as sometimes EMS is cheaper that SAL as the size of item increases.
If you use FedEx you might get lucky and have Tom Hanks deliver it but I'd be a bit concerned about the water damage and sand

-
Just wash them in water

No special tricks and if you use filtered rain water or water for irons it won't leave any spots. They make take a few days to dry but works every time for me.
I even wash most of my models that way too. The only ones I don't wash with water are the the ones on display bases as some of the surface coatings don't like getting wet and end up turning into real mud and muck

-
I've mastered all of the above.
And soon to a Cat's Eye to the list. Wink, wink, nudge, nudge. Say no more.
-
Curious or web lazy
It would have taken you longer to write the list than do a decent search
A lot of those kits have been discussed fairly often on this site and even my pathetic search-fu can find references to most of them

And as said put a call out in the wanted section. I'm pretty sure someone has put a list up pretty similar to yours in not so distant past.
-
Anyway, keep an eye out over at SSM. I'll bet they will carry the Stratos kit. They had the regular one a while back.
That's where I got the 1/48 kit from. Unfortunately the Stratos 4 kit looks like it may only be in 1/72 but at least it will give me an idea of what needs to be done.
-
So, what's next on the bench?
I've just started the final coat on one of John's Defenders.
Once that's finished it's on to finish an Armorcast Atlas that is beating the snot out of a Clan elemental with an arm he just ripped off of a Mad Dog (Vulture).
-
Thanks for that. Waiting won't be a problem I'll just do a few of the more than 200 kits I've got occupying most of the house

-
Looks great! I love all the extra stenciling markings and the firing missles look really cool!
One small suggestion, a nice, fairly strong wash around the bases of the chest missiles will really help to visually seperate them from the body of the mech. Hope that helps.
Now I just have to find time to get one of my Moscato kits built and hope it comes out as good as yours!
Thanks.
I see what you mean about the missiles. Looking at the model it doesn't look quite as bad as it does under the unforgiving gaze of the camera. Now that I have to wear glasses for close up work it was hard enough painting the missiles without getting any white (almost
) on the base piece so now that its all glued together I don't thing I trust myself to do anything else in case I stuff it up. I have another one that I'd like to do with all the missiles firing (that would fix the problem) but I don't know whether I'll ever find the time to cut each missile from the base piece and do all the other things needed to make it look right. -
Nice job, Gunny! I wish I could build mine up as good...
Thanks but I reckon you could, just don't experiment with new paint on a $130 kit like I did

How about resizing your pics so they download a bit faster
edit: Thanks, much easier to load.
