  1. Gunparade March. Short but sweet with an excellent opening theme Has high school kids for pilots (only because the earth is short on adults due to heavy casualties) but it doesn't take itself too seriously.
  2. No worries and if you have trouble finding a source of Gunze Sangyo paints let me know.
  3. I refuse to grow up so I suppose I've never brought a toy as an adult
  4. The Hasegawa mix for the brownie is 40% H37 (Wood Brown) & 60% H1 (White) if that's any help.
  5. I'm refering to whole series It was way too sureal for me
  6. Why bother it won't make it any better
  7. I'm pretty sure it's only the Perfect Edition that has both the series and the movie in the one set.
  8. You can also try here for the original Macross TV Madman The price is in $AUS so it's not too bad, it's approx $95US + post. You'll need a region free player though. It has 3 booklets with the linear notes, characters, mecha & songs. This one is on 6 dvd's but it's a legit release of Animego's remaster.
  9. You two need to get out in the sun a bit more
  10. In the episode where Hikaru & Co were taken to the Bodal fleet HQ (First Contact I think) I remember Misa saying something like they'd been folding for a long time so they must have travelled a long way, so I'd say folding isn't instantaneous.
  11. The Minmay attack in Macross II had a visual aspect to it as well. They put up huge holo images of Minmay as well as the singing. So I suppose you could turn off the radio but to avoid the images you'd have fly with your eyes closed. Not smart in combat.
  12. Remember this all too well unfortunately It was a shocker in more ways than one. Poor old Doug Mulray never really recovered from being canned in such a spectacular way
  13. Can I jump on the bandwagon as well and get that page as well please. My copy of the files seem to be missing the same page too.
  14. Thanks for the replies As I'm only using it as a filler on some battletech bases (can get 10 tubes for $2 at the el cheapo shop) it doesn't really matter if it gets a bit "crunchy" and its quicker and a lot less messy than epoxy.
  15. Has anyone ever come across a cheaper readily available alternative to commercial super glue accelerators?
  16. I remember when I first started my apprenticeship in the airforce a Tomcat & an Eagle flew a mock combat over our base and although there was no "offical winner" from where we were standing the Tomcat appeared to have the edge. It made Top Gun look like a bunch of trainee pilots on their first simulator run
  17. Testors Dulcote works for me. Vallejo air brush flat is also good and you can even apply that with a brush. Don't use the Tamiya flat base as that is only intented to be mixed with gloss paint to make it matt. It's not a clear coat.
  18. I don't particularly prefer any genre, I just watch them for the "big kid" factor. If the show lets me sit back and relax and makes me what to see more of it I will. I don't want to have an aneurism just trying to work out what's going on, a la Neon Genisis towards the end. All of the Studio Ghibli anime's I've seen have done just that. Laputa, Nausicaa, Spirited Away, Kiki's Delivery Service & Howl's Castle all just made me sit back and want to watch them. Grave of The Fireflies just blew me away , using an anime to deal with such a sensitive subject and doing it so well. I prefer to listen to them in original Japanese with subs. To me the american dubs just don't seem quite right. Enough waffle and on to the list As well as the above mentioned movies my list of favourites in no particular order is: Gunslinger Girl. Got hooked right from the first episode. You never really knew which way it was going to go. Project A-Ko An oldie but a goodie although I'd take A-Ko or B-Ko over C-Ko any day Mezzo. You just gotta luv orange jumpsuits Madlax. Wierd but you just had to keep watching to find out what the hell was going on R.O.D the TV. Gives a whole new meaning to paper cuts! Maburaho. What more could a boy need than a school full of luscious lovely after him Ikki Tousen. Enough "booby bombs" for any self respecting pervert Macross What more can you say.
  19. I've got the Tachikoma kit from HLJ and it doesn't have any interior detail like what's shown in those pics, it's just got a hollow body Great kit all the same
  20. Will they have wheel chair ramps on the escape craft
  21. I'm just starting out. I've got 2 1/60's (Ostrich & Hikaru) & 2 1/50's (Cannon Fodder & Hikaru). I have them out of the box with the stickers on, although I'll probably replace the stickers with decals and add some detailing & wear later. 1/48's are next and I suppose I'll try and get 1 of each type. As a few people have mentioned I've got the money now (although I'm still a big kid) so I'll buy what I can.
