  1. Bruce Lee and Lyle Woodrum (who use to belong to THOR) both collaborated on the Bomb Pop three years ago. This was Bomb Pop's third flight. Unfortunately, after the "From the Ground Up" contest was over on Monday, I left to head back to Omaha so I ended up missing Bomb Pop's flight. First TV/Discovery Channel presents some very awesome footage of the flight, but they don't show the fate that bestowed the fin canister after it separated. The chutes got hung up and let's just say that the only thing salvaged was a few fins.
  2. Big Daddy at launch! You can see why those M1850's are "Green Gorrilla" formula.
  3. Look at all those motors! 3 Animal Motor Works M1850 Green Gorrillas and 3 Cesaroni J330's!
  4. Here it is flying over our heads over at the pad for "Stumpy" (or "Stempy" as Discovery Channel's calling it <_< ).
  5. Sadly my picture of The Beast (obviously named after and decaled after the X-Man himself) in its 9 motor burning glory was blurred to.
  6. Here is The Big One after it's very premature ejection... the motor is still burning and the parachute is toast. Apparently, the altimeter was hooked up incorrectly before the flight and that is why the flight went totally wrong.
  7. Sorry that the picture got blurred (I had my digital camera in high speed mode, too), but here is The Big One at liftoff on a Hypertek M1060 hybrid motor.
  8. This is Carl Delzell's "The Big One" which is based off of the rocket that Woody and Buzz Lighyear flew to freedom in the first Toy Story. Big One's early parachute deployment is shown multiple times.
  9. These two guys who I believe were from Oklahoma, had their Patriot shown taking off a number of times... when you watch the video you will see that a few motors air-start. More info on this flight... this is Hal Ellis and Mike Doyle. The scale on the Patriot is half. The main motor is a K1100 and the two airstarted motors are J570's.
  10. This scale Honest John was shown a number of times throughout the episodes.
  11. Glad to see someone else got to see it. If anyone's interested, I recoreded a new master tape, in stereo, on a single 160 minute tape when the show reaired this evening. If anyone is interested in a copy give me a buzz. Before I forget, here are some more pictures that I took of some of the other rockets that were featured on the three episodes. First of all, here's a picture I got of the spot landing contest that was aired during episode 3. Jeff "Has anyone seen a pink and yellow rocket?" and Rick Bosworth (who also lost his rocket) are part of THOR. The big gray one is the one that Frank Uroda (Public Missiles Limited) and his son flew.
  12. I think he meant the TV series. I got my Transformer the Movie DVD in late 2000. I bought the season 1 DVD set about a year and a half ago. I have subsequently bought both of the stes that make up season 2. I don't like anything past the Movie, so I'll probably end my Transformers DVD collection right there. Unfortunately, I haven't had much of a chance to sit down and watch them all yet.
  13. Hasbro made the deal with Bandai/et al (Tatsunoko or Big West?). Hasbro lost the rights to depict Jetfire/Skyfire as a VF-1 many years ago and that is why Harmony Gold is able to put out their "serious" VF-1 MPC toys out on the market without worrying about legal retribution from Hasbro.
  14. Paypal has sent e-mails out warning about this kind of fraud before. Just like one should never give credit card info to someone asking for it over the phone (if you are not making a purchase or reservation), NEVER respond to these kind of e-mails asking for you to input banking and other personal information!
  15. Hopefully Tony won't die and won't be crippled, but obviously Tony being injured in the field when Chase could have been there will probably come into play in future episodes. This was one heck of a roller coaster ride so far this season and there are 21 episodes left!
  16. So far I've watched the first two episodes off of Cartoon Network. So far it looks okay.
  17. I saw a commercial for this DVD set in which I saw Arnold in an Army or Air Force uniform wearing a berret (I saw only a split second of this). My guess is that the original endoskeleton designs where based around a real officer... who just happened to look like Arnold.
  18. I've just downloaded all these commercials... awesome! Glad I have a cable modem! Thanks for having these up for downloading, Shawn.
  19. It's been a week since the last time I played the game, but the last time I was, I was playing the hell out of P-01 and was at the point where I was consistently getting an A score (haven't gotten an S yet). Everything whether it be your damage, time remaining, targets hit, accuracy, otherwise saying EVERYTHING seems to add up.
  20. Since I know exactly what else is on the show, I will post some additional pictures I took of some of the other hot projects (like the R/C X-30 and the 9 motor cluster known as "The Beast") tomorrow (about to catch some z's ). For those who missed it or want to see it again, the 3 episodes will reair twice this Thursday evening starting at 7:00, this Saturday starting at 11:00, and finally at 4:00 on Saturday the 22nd. The times I listed are CST.
