yes.. i watched the trailer off the movies own website, and as i'm in the UK... i saw a big US flag...
sorry guys, i have to say i cringed...
Why? Indiana as a character is an American after all. It is an American Film franchise. I don't cringe when I watch Dr Who and I see a UK flag displayed prominently, or if I’m watching a German movie with a prominent image of a German flag.I understand to a degree that an excess of nationalistic imagery can be irritating, and US movies can go over the top, but I see plenty of national symbols used in non-us media that I just accept such imagery as a product of the culture/country that produced the flick.
Edited: for posibly to much political commentary.

A full theatrical release for an animated star wars. A feeling of anticipation mixed with a strong feeling of dread just ran through me. Will the animation be true theatrical animation quality, considering how long it takes most really good animated movies to be made? Or will it be the soso/okay tv cg quality that we saw in the clips a few months back?

I'm guessing but maybe some of the stuff seen in the canyon attack on the obsolisk. I'm thinking hovertank, kiki and motorbike, the ROV and net gun. Just a guess though.
I got the SHCMP gundam for $30 at a local shop in the US. They have some special deal that gets them cheap gundam stuff. Even cheaper than I found stuff in japan.
Holy crap, I wish I had a local shop like that. Best I have is a comic shop with a mountain of marvel legend figures.

Does anyone know whats supposed to be so special about the 1/144 SHCM Pro RX-78-2 Gundam - Shizuoka Model Kit Show Limited Edition?

Someone over at ToyBoxDX has their Megahouse Ride Armor on the way and says they should get it by Monday, so it looks like we'll be seeing some reviews pretty soon!
Awesome. If it turns out to at least look as good as it does in it's photos I'll definitly take a set, but I'll still be glad I picked up the CMS even with its reported flaws. to have an almost perfect transformation ride armor in that scale is a dream come true for me.

A problem with Jazai's stuff is they have significant quality control issues (either from design issues or material issues), and are not meant to be played with like a toy.
I thought he was a true garage company, you know, the sort that makes yamato and cms look huge.

good to see BSG will continue, I really hope they get to wrap up the last 10 episodes to complete the series story arc.

I want to have like 8,000,000 of Earth Mode Megatron's golden man-robot babies.
Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwww!

I dig.
On a side note, am I the only who wants to see more 'play-set' Transformers? I don't know but all of my favorite TFs are ones with base modes that other figures can interact with (G1 Metroplex, SGMF God Ginrai set, G1 Ironhide/Ratchet, G1 Prime, Fort Max...)? My real collecting goal really is going to end up being all of the G1 city/fortress figures.
I wouldn't mind seeing another fort max sized figure. But with the current economic situation in the world, I don't think we'll see something like that for a long time, if ever.

Days later was ok, but weeks later just pissed me off with its stupidity. If he needed a key card to get into his wife, then how the hell did he get back out once he was a zombie? Are we to believe the doors just "stayed open" ?
Sean of the Dead has my vote for best zombie movie.
My question is, why did a civi even have access to that facility?

I got my CM's in the mail yesterday from LAFtoys!!! I am soooooooo excited, but I have not even had the chance to open them yet and will not be able to till tonight. At that point in time we will see if I have any of the troubles that some of you have had. Luckily (not to jinx myself) I have been one of the few to receive QC issues on anything that I have bought *knocking on wood*.
With all this talk of the MH's not including stickers and all that with ALL of the 1st run.....that just pisses me off
. I should cancel my pre-order. That's a load of crap.

you did? I havn't heard anything from LAFToys at all....

(and why are they clear? Since they're a solid object and not a flame, etc)
Because hasbro toy designers are not jet experts? I dunno. Sadly these toys are made to appeal to, A. more to kids. or B. To transformer fans who don't know that much about airplanes, without any regard to accuracy.
-
To me they just look like a generic afterburner effect, which we all know is wrong for an A-10.
And even if it is an IR-signature-reducing exhaust, that's also wrong for an A-10 and looks stupid. Real A-10 engine exhausts would look best in robot mode.
Its probably something that a hasbro designer saw on another jet and thought looked cool, without any knowledge of what it was for.

The more I look at Powerglide, the more he looks like a complete trainwreck.
I want to see a fully colored, and properly transformed image before I judge him. I'll agree the light up boobs are a bit much. I'd rather they just be standard turbines.

Hello All,
As far as the Maxx it has been redesigned since this picture with all the feedback recieved to have bigger feet, forearms, torso, more hunched back and claw as middle finger. I think every figure in the wave will have a different Izs in it.
So when you say series for the MAXX, your going to do other characters from the comic as well? SWEET!
-
Something seems a bit off on the Maxx, aside from the feet. At the same time, it's THE FREAKING MAXX, which means I have to buy it no matter what. I can't believe a new Maxx figure is finally coming. The McFarlane version I have looks nice, but there's definitely a lot of room for improvement and I like how the articulation looks of this new one.
ShockerToys- Any plans for Mr. Gone, Julie, Isz pack-ins?
I'm there with you Eriku. Since this is a prayer I never thought would be answered, a new Maxx figure, this single revelation proves to me that there is in fact a God. Now if only they'd release the old TV movie on DVD, or even better make a new movie that surpasses the old one.

Megahouse is a little too close to the size of CM's for me to justify getting one. Toynami's should be quite a bit bigger and if it ends up bucking the Toynami trend and getting a clean bill of health I'll probably pick one up to have something in a larger scale.
In the end my curiosity will probably make me get every damn one of them.

The toynami is the same size as the alpha I believe. I can't remember where, but I swear I saw a pic of it next to the proto.
-
Also, for some reason, this new version reminds me of a VF-4 in bot mode.
I was thinking about kitbashing this design into something a little more valkyrie like in the future.
-
I just hope for those of you that are hanging your hopes on the Megahouse that you aren't sorely disappointed. The Megahouse Ride Armor may have just as many reasons to be called 'fragile', 'cheap' and 'fiddly' as the CMs. Some of their past figures (like the Palm Action Orgroid figure) was called all of those things by many people.
I must repeat again, I've heard that alot of people found megahouses L-gaim stuff very unimpressive, pretty much describing it as boot quality toys as well. And all the promotional photos of that toy made it look awesome.

Yamato to reissue the standalone YF-19 in Feb:
http://ga.sbcr.jp/mgangu/009006/
Don't really know where else to place this, but Hikaru's 1/48 also to be re-released:
So this will probably have all the fixes?
-
That's probably it. But yeah, isn't this the first time three different figures were done in Deluxe, Voyager and Leader? I wonder if there will be any Animated Legends figures. Legends are kind of crappy but I really dig some of them, and they're not bad for cheapies.
In all 3 it seems so. The movie line made different toys for different price ranges, but this is the 1st to have all 3.
-
Very cool, thanks!
I find the fact they are doing this very interesting. I think they want to have very affordable versions of the toys for the average kid, and the larger sizes will be for parents with larger budgets, and collectors that want to keep everything in scale.
-
There's going to be a Leader class Bulkhead?? Awesome! I'm having a hard time imagining what could be improved from the smaller one that I have, but even if it's just the same toy and scaled up I'll get it.

Prime, Megs, and Bulkhead are all getting made in the 3 different size classes.
-
And one last comment. Anyone talking about Yamato's fair pricing for quality doesn't own one of their 1st Scopedogs, Garlands, Quedluun Rau or remembers paying $150 for the GBP-1 armor.
and the motoslave for 70

No offense taken.
I actually enjoy this kind of debate and think it's an important discussion. However, most humans, and this goes for everyone across the poltical spectrum, have such a hard time keeping calm while discussing politics that the debate almost always degenerate into some kind of mud slinging contest, drowning out the important issues in all the noise.
But yeah, as you said, this is macrossworld and lets go back to talking about Krystal Skulls, and how Lucas and Speilberg are raping our childhoods.
