Hey will the transformations on these be dissassemble and reassemble jobs?

I'd put on par with Mission to Mars as a really big waste of time.

Ouch!!!!!! spriggen was bad but Mission to mars was worse.

The only Alien representations to include the human skull design are those based on Giger's work for the original movie.

The slightly "redesigned" Aliens for the second movie did away with this, and the other movies (if you insist that they really do exist) have followed suit.

The alien-skull in Predator 2 doesn't have a human-skull element because it is based on the aliens of the sequels.

The reason? I imagine it is the same reason why the original alien's head is a replica of a penis, or that that the eggs are "supposed" to resemble vaginas...Giger is twisted. Twisted and nasty.

Grrrrr this thread is just a bunch of old arguments that get tossed around. Drif and all others who share his opinion I understand your beefs with yamato. They are all valid even if I don't consider them big issues for myself. Still we have all heard it before. Wouldn't these arguments be better suited for the pinned whats wrong with my valk post? I only say this cause this has ceased to be fond rememberence post and become a rant post.

Microsoft plans to pursue the mechwarrior line of vid games, how close it stays to the source material is another issue. I also heard rumors that a BT movies was coming in 2005 and thats when the new mechwarrior game is also coming out.

Man the spartan gets no love, and rightfully so, it sticks out like a sore thumb amoung the others. All the destroids look so realistic, the spartan on the other hand kinda looks odd....... <_

As I pointed out on the far mid right their appears to be a mecha that looks like a monster proto. Its kinda covered by the trees so it may just be a crouching version of the one we see in better detail off to the left, but that wide looking foot base looks reminicent of the monster.

Wheres that puke emoticon? The character design is simply an eye sore. I liked Outlaw Star.... but this is just ridiculous.

Huh? I think Macross Zero has great character design. Much better than the previous series.

Honestly guys, lets not rehash old arguments, you can do nothing to change peoples opinions, so debating it is pointless....for those of us who have been around a while, we all know each others stances on these issues, let us just accept it and agree to disagree and move on.

I'm a fan of theirs, yes, but I do acknowledge any problems that their toy has.

I just don't make it my personal mission to slam the brand, and nitpick about every seam, peg, screw, paint chip, hole, color, plastic thickness, head size, hand size, ball joint, shoulder/elbow movement range, materials used for certain parts, the color of the intakes, whether or not it is canon, and just about every minute issue I can find about it, everytime there is a topic to be said about it, and all of that, just because I had a bad first or second experience about one of their products.

I have better things to do with my time, and my toys than to sit on a table and look at it under a microscope all the time.

Variable Destroids!? Why discuss this?

The VF is variable for a reason... not just to make it look cool, what need would be better served if Destroids turned into something else.

Transforming for the sake of transforming is a concept that iritates me.

What purpose did the transfomration of the macross really serve other than the really really cool if not incredibly unrealistic dadilus attack?

Non-cannon VF-1j? you mean the 1/60th version. Graham already mentioned the 1/48 !J is not coming with Fast packs, Yamato just slapped them on for display purposes at the show the 1j was unveiled at.

1st Yamato (and almost my last) was the original YF-19. It suffered Tab-B breakage and now it's just a $40 piece of junk waiting to be used as spare parts for the rev 2 someday. I guess I loved Macross Plus more than I feared Yamato's QC back then. I must be one of the lucky ones whose VF-11B is still intact after numerous transformations.

Yamato revived the franchise and I give them credit for trying. But the honeymoon is long over for me :-/

I say the 1/48 line will resurrect the honeymoon. Ever since Yammato finally got smart and changed factories the QC issues (I have never really had any) have all but dissapeared. No rampant complaints bout the max or low viz. and personally while I know people have had problems with their 1/60th all my 1/60ths have been flawless toys. Anyway my 1st yammy was the QC prone YF 19, but I kept my faith with yamato not being able to stand the look of bandai chunky monkeys and have been in love ever since.

Now how many people hated the way the Directors cut of LOTR fellowship was made. I mean you had to switch disk in the middle of the movie.

Was it possible to have one soundtrack (DTS and Dolby Digital) to be on seperate disk we did not have to exchange disk.

Nope! all movies over 3 hours, VHS or DVD have to have switchage mid movie.

For those of you concerned you won't be able to get one cause it will be a TRU exclusive and there are no TRU's in your area don't worry, Probably the TRU only release is for the US market only. Also if not, you can easily order it over Amazon as amazons toys sale department is TRU.

Looks better but the ways those doors stick out, I don't mind how Sidswipes doors stick out cause that is very G1 and they look like wings, these on the other hand are not reminicent of anything and just look like kibble. Hopefully those wings will be able to fold down and swing back into a more classic configuration.

This really isn't a problem with the product, but I broke the backpack hinge on my 1/48 Low Viz the first time transforming it.

It's my first 1/48, so this may be old news to most of you, but I'm just letting everyone know to be careful with the backpack when converting it to battroid mode.

Oh man rob, sorry to hear that, you should have read Graham's review a while back, he made mention of the delicate nature of the backpack joint.
