  1. ...as well as my Macross addiction, I have a hardcore Gundam habit, too.

What? Blasphemy! We don't take kindly to that around here! j/k ;) Anyway, I'm hoping that Yamato will eventually release all the 1/48 VF-1 varients, since I completely skipped the 1/60 line. Remember guys that Graham said the surprises are coming in Spring of '04, so start saving up.

Addicted to cool robots (macross, gundam, transformers, SOC ect.), and star wars :p Need cheaper hobby. *takes up stamp collecting and learns the prices people want for stamps (100,000 + at times people) and finds stamps are boring Goes back to collecting toys just as broke much happier though* :p

  2. hi hi

i have yf-19 1st edition and well seeing if anybody can help me with 2 problems...

1 the infamous tab b is broken

and 2 my hips seem to be very loose like the greenish teal part with the teeth seems be chewing itself to death someone help me!

adly my best advice is to stick the thing back in the box. keep it if you want it for collector value, sell it if you just want a perfect YF-19 cause yamato is making a resculpt.

  3. 'dunno,....

Guess it's a bit different from having a full size Harness in your house, or the Grizzlybear you shot last season

Now,...What's keeping that 1:1 Minmay!?!?!

    No,...What's keeping that 1:1 Mylene !?!?! :lol::lol::lol:

    No. What's keeping that 1:1 Millia ?!?!?!?!?!?!

    Vostok 7

    no. WHAT'S KEEPING THAT 1:1 BREETAI!?!?! :p

Where the F@*#! is my 1/1 Misa!!!!!

  4. part of my theory is that transformer fans of the new generation, those who buy armada and energon are not used to shelling out. Unlike most of us who are full aware that quality costs money. When a transfan see's a quality toy he will say oooooooh but be turned off by the price and his view shall be colored negativly. Look at the response to the alternators toys, the japanese Vs American. Its all about price for them, they don't understand, its not just a matter of price it is quality. Transformers new fanbase is a group from 8 to 15 who are not mature enough to truly understand the good stuff IMHO. (for all those who are also macross fans and transfans, no insult to you as you probably know a quality toy when you see one)

So what do you say to the people who bought the Toynami Morphers? For $15 dollars a pop they sure were expensive, but the quality certainly was not there.

    vinnie

EDIT IN: Or even the MPC at MSRP.

well...... hmmmmmmmmm hey raise of hands who bought these POS's? *finds self dumbfounded people raise hands* ummmmmm I'll just go nurse my sanity back to health over in this corner.

  5. The inabilty to remove the radar dish arm on the Yamato VE-1 does not both me at all, as this toy will be permanently displayed in fighter mode with the radar dish attached anyway.

    Ditto.

Now all I have to do is find something to use as a stand so I can display it in flight with the radar array on the bottom fully deployed.

I know someone around here [sithlord maybe] sells really cool stands periodically that work great displaying complex things off the ground. GO throuh the "for sale" section a few pages and I'm sure you will find it. I need to get one myself as it's the only way I'll ever be able to display my violator valk in fighter mode LOL.

Dude your violator valk scares me... :p

    huh?

  6. Personally, I can't notice any drop in either quality or in materials used. If anything, the quality of the Yamato VE-1 and VT-1 is very high.

Personally, I'm happy with this piece. So much so that I sold my Bandai 1/55 VE-1.

The inabilty to remove the radar dish arm on the Yamato VE-1 does not both me at all, as this toy will be permanently displayed in fighter mode with the radar dish attached anyway.

    Just my 0.2 cents.

    Graham

    what!?!?!?! howmuch? when!?!??!

  7. Thanks for the responses all, its settled for me they are staying, again only the redundant ones going into deep storage. Though I am considering doing away with my old non-fastpacked focker 1/60th. oh and before I get wild PM's asking for it, if I do get rid of it its going to a friend for a reduced price.

  8. Well I came up with a good justification for you all who are still strugling with whether or not you should get the 1/48th VF-1S Hicky. You get all wraped into one, a perfected VF-1S and a perfected Hikaru VF-1. No radon nose troubles, no flap problems and the small amount of paint cracking found on the Hikaru will be a non issues with matt paint being used not enameled. So empty you wallets folks!!!! Also final Justification, its a 1/48 and yamato needs your money to make you a GBP armor and a stamped valk ;)

  9. Well, yeah, the old Yamato 19 looks bad compared to what we've been getting from Yamato lately, but it still looks a lot better than what Transformers have been getting for years now.

When the new YF-19 resculpt comes back show them that. I'll bet you'll get the argument..... "buhhhhhhh....... well....... its not a transformer it sucks" <_< :p

  10. Yeah.. got a same thought though! :(  few months a go I decided not to buy more 1/60th because of all the QC issues and think to sell them out to hekp me buy more 1/48th.

But then the very elusive Elint and Super O being released, it hard for me to resist those two, especially the elint. I was thinking just pass them on and wait until they come up in 1/48th, but if they don't...... arrghhh the VE-1 will already be so dang expensive like the VF-19

sigghhh..... really hard to make up my mind

Buy the VE-1 if they make it into a 1/48 sell it off to some one who wants one but can't afford the 1/48. I think I'll be keeping all my 1/60ths. Though the ones that have 1/48 counterparts that I own will be going into deep storage.

  11. Well, with the Elint and Super O coming out it looks as if my 1/60th collection will be coming to a close. Still should I keep it? I was all wild bout this series and am still fond of it but now with yamato making a Vf-1J, and a VF-1S Hikaru in 1/48 scale I really do see them going for making every valk in 1/48th scale a possiblilty, and perhaps even beyond what they have done for the 1/60th scale as we never got a 1/60th scale Hikaru VF-1S. I think I will keep my 1/60th line as the collector in me finds it hard to let them go. and since I have no intention of getting every 1/48th I think I want to have a complete line of VF's in one scale at least, still I am unsure......
