  1. I think I paid just under $200 for mine (before shipping). same deal, Don't recall the where/when.
  2. @DYRL VF-1S LOL - Yes it was "Dr. No." rolling the dice now - I've submitted a new ticket
  3. I did submit a ticket to which they responded within 24 hrs with the initial denial. I'm still waiting to hear back after I replied. I'll give it another day or so and then open a new ticket in hopes someone else that is more agreeable to the request will get it.
  4. Rgr, that. I wasn't sure if the subject had come up previously. It doesn't surprise me that you got different results at times. I'll press on trying to work out the problem with them. I was surprised that they flat out denied the request and didn't provide any alternatives. I actually did change my address on the website before contacting them to make the request on the pending order. I've been through this situation before, albeit not with this vendor, and even when the country changed (oddly enough when I moved back to the US from Japan) it wasn't a problem. This time it still within the same country and state so you'd think it wouldnt be that difficult.
  5. So here's a new wrinkle in my dealings with NY. Last week I had to move to a new home and when I contacted them to request changing the shipping address on a pending/unfulfilled order I placed at the begging of the year they responded saying that its against there policy to change shipping addresses. They also provided no suggestion as to how to resolve this impasse. Having the item ship, whenever that may be, to my old address is not an option. I'm awaiting to hear back on my response as I find it hard to believe that they can not accommodate an address change on a yet to ship order. Particularly in this period of delayed releases and slow/long shipping times. I don't think its unlikely that people are no longer at an address they gave 6-12+ months ago. Fortunately this is my only pending order with them, and very likely the last time I purchase something through them. Putting this out there as I don't recall anyone mentioning having an issue with changing a shipping address with NY.
  6. Thanks for the heads up. They are also $20 and $10 cheaper than BBTS - before coupon is applied. saved about $34 on the low-vis
  7. So my last pending EMS shipment arrived in the US (NY) today. I expect it will get here in the next couple of days. This had shipped on 4/10 so things are moving, albeit very slowly at almost 6 weeks.
  8. @Alphahorizon I guess they got some more but there at 120.23 now.
  9. @borgified I'm more of an Imperial at heart as you can see in the pic but I'm giving some serious consideration to getting to proto-fett helmet. (BTW - most recent Macross related purchase can be seen at bottom of pic).
  10. @borgified You mean this one? https://hasbropulse.com/products/star-wars-the-black-series-boba-fett-prototype-armor-electronic-helmet
  11. @sh9000 Is getting it from hasbro pulse not an option? https://hasbropulse.com/products/star-wars-the-black-series-boba-fett-electronic-helmet

I'm no where near having them all but like slave I was attracted to them as they represented a broad spectrum of the verse sort to speak. In addition I wanted these for display at my office so the size was another factor. I currently have the following - VF-1S Strike Valkyrie VT-1 Superostrich VF-1D Valkyrie VF-1A Super Valkyrie VE-1 Elintseeker VF-1A Valkyrie (CF) And hope to get the following (Listed in priority) VF-4 Lighting III Glaug Regult Defender Spartan VF-1J Monster So i'd say I'm almost 1/2 way through my want list.
  13. On BBTS? was wonder the same thing myself.
  14. Re - SPP's I think that with the release of the latest wave prices have somewhat stabilized in the mid 8K to 9K yen for a set, at least on YJA where I've seen quite a few set go for those prices over the last 3-4 weeks or so. Figure with domestic shipping 800-1000 yen and then your freight forward fees and int'l shipping your looking at spending about 13-14K yen for a set.
  15. That low-vis is going on the wish list.
  16. Checked on a shipment from earlier in the year for two 1/48 yammies and EMS shipping was 7,300 yen. I guess the mid-30's USD per item holds up for both EMS and DHL.
  17. Not sure what you would consider a medium sized box to be but the box I received today from Mandy was 13-1/2 x 9 1/2 x 7 3/4 and under 1kg - cost 2,900 yen to ship. Hope this helps.
  18. Quick update - Package (#2) from Tokyo (TYO) that shipped on 4/9 (received by post office) was forwarded for international dispatch on 5/1 and and received by New York ISC on 5/2. Looks like it will be delivered today 5/4. It appears it remained with the local/receiving post office for about 3 weeks before being forward for shipment overseas - overall it took 3-1/2 weeks. Still no movement on the other package sitting at the airport in NGO.
  19. That has been my experience as well - as least in Nakano (Broadway)
  20. I read an article a week or so ago on NHK's website. Basically its coming down to reduced bandwitdth due to less air traffic. JP Post just like USPS doesn't own there own fleet of aircraft they just use / contract with commercial passenger and freight carriers. If memory serves at one time they did partner up with ANA but that was strictly for cargo between Japan and S. Korea.
  21. Good advice there. Personally unless the shipping charge is indicated either in the listing or description itself its a deal breaker for me and I wont bid. I know of at least one reputable vendor/chain that just puts the info in the description - "Dometisic shipping flat rate: 810 yen" or something to that effect.
  22. As been mentioned those small fees do add up - death by paper cuts. On the bright side FJ does offer a discount on EMS/FedEx once your total purchase has reach a certain amount. I think its 3% once you've purchased 40k in goods, 5% once you've done 100k (which is not hard to do in this hobby). It's not much but it should offset some of the fees. Buyee (aka Tenso) will charge a package consolidation fee (I think its 1000 yen) where FJ doesn't. For domestic delivery on something like one Yamato 1/48 I've seen costs around 1.5k
  23. I had two yammie's 1/48 shipped in a single box in February via EMS and the cost was 7.3k. So it was about $34 per unit - close to what you're estimating.
  24. Have two packages inbound via EMS. Order 1 shipped on 4/10 (NGO) with last scan the following day at the airport. Order 2 shipped on 4/9 (TYO) and last scan was on same day when received by JPost. I'm thinking they are likely still in Japan.
