  1. There's a 4th party Great Mazinger Z that just came out. Mine's been paid for for a week now but hasn't shipped: https://showzstore.com/4th-party-soul-of-chogokin-cr02-great-mazinger_p2315.html The details are scarce at show Z but I'm sure someone has a review out there: 4th Party Soul of Chogokin CR02 Great Mazinger w/ LED Material: Plastic ABS, Die-cast Height: 38cm / 14.57" Oversized version of the Soul of Chogokin Great Mazinger
  2. If sqidd can hold out, I can hold out. If sqidd can hold out, I can hold out. If sqidd can hold out, I can hold out. Fuuuuuggggg...
  3. They updated the full price this morning. That's a pricey meatball...and sold out. It looks mightly cool though. * Pricey for ShowZ comps, but obviously not 1st party releases.
  4. They cancelled my Amatsu and Zaku, which were $2 and $8 deposit. I have a couple more on preorder. I'm waiting to see if they cancel anything else and then I guess I have to contact them for the deposit...which they'll probably transfer to credit, which I'm fine with.
  5. I've always heard that the copyright laws in China are pretty lax. So as long as it's an "original" design or interpretation and you don't call it by it's legal name, you can produce just about whatever you want. Metal Club was/is making straight copies/KOs with very slight design changes. Plus all the pictures of the raids showed shelves full of gundam kit KOs, not even the metal builds. (Not sure what company they sell those kits under.) I've also heard that Bandai is one of the only companies that constantly go after 3rd parties such as Daban/MoShow since they have some local representation. (Compared to LEGO for example, they have had a much harder time getting factories SWATted.) How close are the White and Gold Dragons to the source material? They're pretty stylized aren't they?
  6. Did you get an incoming notice for Yellow Dragon or are you trying to stay ahead of the curve? I agree, it's worth it to pay for the shipping. Otherwise you're going to be paying ebay mark-ups (and there's always the rogue seller suspicions floating around my head until the item shows up on my doorstep) or US webshop mark-ups...if they stock them. I bought a few items that were located in the US with the ebay markup this week because I know they're going to be hard to get going forward. We've, or at least I, have been spoiled over the last couple years with cheap goods straight from China. Things are changing and that's just the way it's going to be for a bit.
  7. I slowly twisted some of them in and hoped for no breaks. But twisting can be dangerous as well so I wouldn't call that a tip. Good luck, have faith.
  8. You can cancel right now on their site and it'll convert to credit. If you contact them I would guess they'd refund the deposit as it's only $1-$5, but I'm not sure. I've contacted them about accidental double orders before and asked for refunds on items I didn't want before they updated the site...but I was always fine with converting to credit so I don't know if I went for standard refund. Most of these companies get raided and then pop back up 6 months later. Gundam offenders seem to take much longer to come back though. We don't need finger pointing as we all know I'm talking about you Mo Show. Supposedly they destroyed all the Strike moulds so I've given up on a re-release from them. It does suck because MG/MC made bad ass robots...but I also realize they're someone's robots in the first place. I think I have all their items preordered at ShowZ except for 1.
  9. TFW2005 has a ShowZ thread where an employee of ShowZ posts multiple times daily if you're interested in more details on the shipping situation. https://www.tfw2005.com/boards/threads/show-z-store.1148773/page-275 Anything over 2 kg is not going anywhere anytime soon. They can use DHL and you'll get your package in a few days but expect to pay $30 or so. They mentioned they're updating their cancellation functionality on the site and within 5 days you should be able to cancel whatever you want and i *think* get points back for your deposits. (Historically if you wanted a refund/points for your $1 deposits you had to request it. Their policy is you can get a refund anytime before the full price is revealed...but I've never had issues getting a refund when I've requested.)
  10. It's a beautiful figure just the like the previous two. But I personally can't justify getting it because I don't even know how I'd display in a collection. A question for those of you in the know, is there a reason for this to exist? Is there a night-mode in the new movies?
  11. They just enabled the `Add to Cart` button the standalone: https://www.bluefinbrands.com/eva-01-test-type-eva2020-evangelion-bandai-tamashii-nations-metal-build.html# (Edit: I just clicked on Alex GS's link and there was not a button, then I clicked on the link in the email they sent 44 minutes ago and it had a button. Refreshed the original and it now also has a button. So they either activated the button on the page or have some sort of mailing list activation...which I don't but is feasible. Third option, my first request failed somehow...but I've clicked on all of these links 5+ times each because this rollout is silly.)
  12. Besides the (re-)paint, the only difference is the inclusion of the lance, correct? FOMO can hit hard with Metal Builds and Evangelion separately...and it's almost impossible to resist if you combine the two. But unless all the future releases start using this paint scheme as the standard, I definitely don't need variants when there's so many incredible alternatives on the release schedule. Thanks for posting VF-Zer0S. On a related note, BBTS has some Red Astray (Strike version) available for pre-order: https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Product/VariationDetails/110734
  13. You can use other detergents/anti-greaser/cleaners if you don't have any ISO...uncle jessy has a video with his limited tests. I used mean green for my first 10 or so prints, but the smell definitely lingers much longer than ISO.
  14. ShowZ is including a couple masks with their orders. They also had to temporarily start charging shipping fees.
  15. Thanks for posting F360. They must have a got a big shipment in from Bandai. They have both Metal Build Evas in stock, RX-78-2 GFFMC, etc. I gave up on the RX-93 a while ago. I think it is incredible but if I pull the trigger on this guy I'll have to chase down at least one set of his fin funnels and I'm not sure I'm up for the grind atm.
  16. I want to say something humorous or snarky about it being a picture of a thing and that makes it a thing to be involved with the conversation...but I think it's more important that I speak honestly and address the real issue here. I just can't believe this frigging board. What is the matter with you people? Most other fandom boards would rip bbilly's entire existence apart for posting his opinion as fact. Especially after his second post...and you, yes YOU...you are trying to educate and assist him? Nice work.
  17. They refunded me in store credit last week for a Black Mamba battle damaged Megatron. (It's a limited paint job so they most likely won't get any more stock in.) And I was just asking if they had any more detail on shipping than I could see and they wrote back and offered around $25 more than my order in store credit. It was shipped Dec 5th and the last known tracking on it was an 'Airline Departure' out of Beijing on Dec 7th. postal.ninja stopped actively tracking it after about 50 days, it's now been in transit 70 days. I'm sure they are getting hammered right now with package issues. (Some their fault and some just slow/lost in the ether due to multiple holidays.) I'd suggest working with them vs PayPal because I've never heard a negative comment about their customer service other than they could have packaged better. (They normally wrap them up pretty good...but I also think that's the rule of numbers, they going to have packages get busted traveling from continent to continent.) But after all that, I searched for the tracking number on google yesterday, which then provided a link to USPS and it's: I'd check yours as well: https://tools.usps.com/go/TrackConfirmAction?tLabels=CP999999999CN
  18. I noticed that too but I wonder how serious they were when putting it on the first panel of the instructions. I'm sure they think this helps in some way, but I seriously doubt there's any chance of it holding up in court. Plus it has a double ended gun! (Is that a translation error or is there a reason a schwwword is a gun?): Thanks for the note about Mashin Hero Wataru, I had no idea of the source material. I don't really like either of the shoulder designs and prefer the older head. (You'd think they'd include both heads if they were changing at the last minute.) But I'm content with the new one as well.
  19. Haven't had time to put Motor Nuclear Q02 through the full barrage of tests but initial impressions are that it's an absolutely fantastic figure. I'm a masterpiece Transformers fan at the core, but a fan of robots/mechs/droids overall. And I'm a huge fan of well crafted robots/mechs/droids. This Barbatos theme isn't something that normally pulls me in and with the last minute changes to the figure's design, I may have had decreased expectations but this is a hefty and beautiful bot. He has some crazy tight joints and I wish they painted the black bits, but I think I'm more impressed with him than Kampfer (awesome figure, but a little plain in the end) and Sazabi (which would have been close to perfect with a few layers of red paint.) They clearly put effort into packaging him securely. Everything you see on the base figure is paint besides the metal and black plastic. (With the bare black plastic being my biggest complaint.) The entire black shoulder piece looks out of place to me compared with the rest of the figure. Assembling the metal joints (arms and backpack attachments) will take fortitude and dexterity with all the little sharp bits getting in the way of the super tight tolerances. Seriously, you will need to stretch your finger muscles and mentally prepare yourself the peg vs port throwdown. There's high quality, low profile panel lining throughout. A comparison with Metal Club Strike Freedom So yea. I like it so far. Haven't transformed it yet, attached the weapons or wings but this has turned out very well and I'm looking forward to spending more time figuring him out and hopefully getting updates on his buddy soon.
  20. And boom. It has appeared. I don't have time to assemble it right now but packaging and paint look fantastic. So very good first impressions.
